Would recommend trying a few things with friends or family and sharing. It’s hit and miss, and a fun way to try out a broad selection on the menu. Once you zero in in a few things you like, it’s a great place. I think all of their food is quality and well prepared, just found some items very bland tasting.

I tried this place based on proximity and it’s current rating above 2. However I was quickly disappointed. Shortly after walking in, I wanted to walk out. While the gentleman behind the counter wasn’t overtly rude, he made little effort to disguise his condescension when I asked a question. Whatever. I’ll take the gyro. Again, the gentleman behind the counter immediately assumed I wanted the combo with fries and a soda. Thanks for asking sir, but I’ll only have the gyro. Again he appeared to be less than helpful. Now the gyro. It was aggressively mediocre. The lamb was overdone. The lettuce was from the core and had no color but was ripe with bitterness. Long story short. Set the bar low.

The outside advertises that it has Western food, too, but don’t get distracted – the Afghani Middle Eastern food here is delicious. Well-balanced, flavorful, but should work OK even for less-adventurousness palates. Standouts included the qabuli palow, nice balance of savory and sweet. Fantastic service from Yoseph.

So happy this gem of a restaurant opened up in an area that severely lacks multicultural dining options. Flame Kabob and Gyro has something for everyone, which is why I love it so much! Since I come here pretty often… I learned that they are a family owned business! They are a very sweet family and always give A+ service each time I visit. The quality of their meats, particularly the tikka and kofta kabobs are always perfectly spiced, moist and tender, NEVER dry. Other kabob places in the surrounding area always skimp out on the meat, rice, and bread, definitely not here though! They grill everything made to order and always get it right. The side dishes are wonderful and are rotated on a daily basis, I personally LOVE the chickpeas and eggplant. I stopped in recently and noticed their new and improved menu, I greatly appreciate the addition of cuisine terms, very cute touch! I’m a huge fan of fried chicken and they have seriously perfected the breading here. Their hot wings are TODIEFOR! The fries are out of this world and have a great crisp to them. The lamb gyros and chicken wraps are my go-to options if I’m in a rush, they are very filling for the price you pay. If you’re dinning in — they have complimentary hot tea off to the right of the register which I always take advantage of when I’m there. If you’re one of those people scared to try something new, I can assure you — you will NOT be disappointed! I love coming here and will be back time and time again. :)

Chicken Tika Kebabs were great. The eggplant side was delicious. A very pleasant surprise for a takeout place. Two thumbs up!

Since this place had opened I’ve gone a number of times for carryout. SOGOOD! The portions are large, the service is super friendly, and wow, the gyros… just thinking about them is making me hungry! I normally go for platters instead of the combo with fries because the rice is really tasty with some sort of spice that adds great flavor without making spicy(I’m a total wuss regarding spiciness). Both the gyro and chicken platters hit the spot. The baklava is very good, and again, the portion is sizable. Honestly the only thing I’ve had that i haven’t really enjoyed was the spinach, and that’s likely because I’m more into steamed veggies. I’ve been looking for good middle eastern food out here and have finally found my go-to place!

I’ve been going here about every other week and get their gyros just about every time, since they’re just that good. Surprisingly, for a Middle-Eastern spot they have some of the best fries in the area and fry them hot for each order. Elkton tends to be a blighted desert for foodies with little more than big chain restaurants, which makes these guys a welcome addition to the area. 5 stars for quality ethnic food with friendly service at a great price point.

I have eaten Gyro’s all over the world. These are in the top 1%! For $ 7.50 you get one of the best gyro’s, an order of fries, and a canned soda! I also had a falafel wrap, It is not on the menu, but posted in the window. I have traveled though Israel and these were better than any I had there. I will be going through Elkton more now, just so I can stop and get great eats. I will be trying their other specialties, but when the gyro’s are so good, it will be tough.

Came here for lunch last week. Ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich and it wasn’t very good. My MIL ordered chicken kabobs and they were really juicy and well done. Will come back here to try something else. Prices are really fair. Owner was very friendly so will give them another chance.

A fantastic addition to the Cecil County dining scene. Flame Kebab has the standard kebab shop offerings – gyro, chicken and beef kebabs, and kafta(ground meat kebabs) – in addition to a couple of afghani specialties and American dishes like burgers, shrimp and wings. Every kebab I’ve had except the chicken kafta was great – beef kafta is good, but chicken was a bit dry. Rice pilaf is flavorful and fluffy. Only uneven spot are the veggie sides – potatoes and eggplant are great, while beans and okra were uninteresting and dry.(Edit: the owner invited me back to try the chicken kefta again, and it was fantastic the second time. Moist, tasty, and spicy!) Special note: the family kebab platter is 6 kebabs and a bunch of rice, salad, and two veggie sides. Fantastic deal.
