Hate my haircut I received here. First off, it’s too short which I can somewhat deal with. I asked for medium layers and shaping in the back. There is no shape to the back and the layers are pretty much non-existent. Was dealing okay with the cut the first couple of days, but as the week went on I just find myself getting angrier every time I brush this freaking tangled mess outta my hair. My husband could’ve done a better job. Now I need to wait at ¾ of a year to get it near the same length to start over again. Glad I didn’t get my eyebrows done as I was planning to do. I have had a manicure done here in the past. It was done well. The prices are reasonable as well.

Inexperienced person here. This was supposed to be a pampering for me. I went for a gel manicure and the spa pedi. The pedi consisted of putting some kind of mask on my feet. No leg massage or anything else special. When I got outside in the light I realized that the polish didn’t cover parts of my fingernails. The gel manicure is supposed to last longer and it started coming off in 3 days. A waste of money.

Just got from from my first visit to Blue Iris Spa and Salon. THRILLED! After moving here from NYC a month or so ago, and after seeing some of the sweet hair-dos walking around the area I was more than nervous when the time came to touch up my roots and get a trim on my «weird new-wave haircut». Took a shot with Blue Iris with Megan as my stylist. She knew exactly what my hair needed and gave me an amazing cut and color. She was also able to fit in an eyebrow waxing without an appointment! Woot! They were having some sort of special and for a cut, color, and eyebrow shaping, my grand total was $ 106. $ 106!!! You cant even get a nice dinner in NYC for that! So so so so SO happy!

Jen, the owner of the Blue Iris, has been doing my hair for years. I have always been pleased with my hair and if something is less than satisfactory– which it rarely is– she is always willing and glad to make adjustments. My daughters and my son also use her for updos and occasional haircuts and colors– they have always been pleased. On more than one occasion Jen has been willing to fix mistakes that my youngest has made coloring her own hair. Even my mother in law will schedule an appointment when visiting from the south– they’re that worth it!

I am really sad to write this review because I have thoroughly enjoyed pedicures and manicures here since moving to the area as well as a prior brow shaping. HOWEVER today was a horrifying experience that tested my self control… With 4 days to go til attending a wedding my eyebrows were very nearly removed from my face. They do not match and are were taken back above my eye much further than they should be. They are shaped so poorly I can barely look in the mirror. I am completely devastated and somehow managed to quietly pay and leave without losing my marbles. I wish I had not gone in today — my review would have been at least 4 stars. This is a very nice, clean and relaxing place for nail services — go for the nail services because you will not be disappointed in the least.

Went for a massage. Showed up and filled out paperwork while the staff stood at the front desk and complained about personal lives. Then was lead upstairs by the same person I’d just listened to complain. Décor is. Really nice but walls are not well insulated. Spent the whole message thinking about what I would write in a review and listening to the women down stairs talk about an elephant. Table and face rest were hard, left with a ring around my face after spending an hour wishing this person was not touching me. Literally an awful massage. Waiting to leave, was in the middle of paying when a man walked in, cut in front of us and insisted he needed a massage today. We, then, waited while the receptionist and massage person(I’m not sure she qualifies to be a therapist) tried to find a way to fit him in.

When I moved to Cecil County Maryland from Southern California one of the scariest things was finding a good and reasonably priced haircut. The many chop shops lining Route 40 were just not going to cut it.(Hah! No pun intended.) Thankfully I was turned on to Blue Iris Salon and Spa and was so pleasantly surprised. The interior is clean and inviting. The prices are down to earth and the staff is awesome! I have never waited more than about 10 minutes before they were able to see me, but if you have to wait you can always go grab a drink at the bar downstairs(As long as it’s a weekend). Grace always cuts my hair and I have never had any complaints. Blue Iris is a gem.
