After 30+ years of non-motorcycle riding, my wife & I got a new ride. Two days later we were in Elko at the Motorcycle Jamboree due to a friend’s urging. The motorcycles were beautiful and it helped us research new &/or appropriate equipment for our bike. The people were nice, we were able to find a hotel at the last moment(although the Stockman’s is the best place to be for this event). Make sure to eat at the Star, it’s a basque mainstay in Elko. There were lots of vendors, lots of food, and lots of gambling at the local casinos. Motorcyclists are such nice and helpful people. We were riding by ourselves, but we found plenty of people to ride along with. If you haven’t been to a motorcycle jamboree before, be not concerned, go, and enjoy yourself.
