I’m totally a fan, never been downstairs yet n I keep sayin’ i’ma go down but always forget its there, they have a great selection of everything one needs in their kitchen. it doesn’t smell that great so if you have a sour stomach this may not be the place to go ’til u get over that but besides that they’re good.

I love this foodmarket. This place brings back good memories of my childhood and teen years. I love their food, grocery, and a Korean Stationary Store that is located downstairs.

I love Kobawoo, been there ever since I was a wee lil lass. It’s a Korean/Asian market that has been through thick in thin in the Cheltenham, North Philadelphia Korean community for probably well over the past 30 years?! It’s not as new and nice as Han Ah Reum, but it’s still large and has everything that the newer places have to offer. I love coming here whenever I visit my folks and always check out the sushi stand and get HwaeDupBap! It’s so good! It’s similar to chirashi, with sashimi, over a bed of greens, pickled bonchon, and rice, and you mix it all up with red pepper paste(not as spicy as you think). It’s so good! And so cheap! I think it’s about $ 10bucks for an amount that feeds my family, and we’re not light eaters! It’s also got a bakery and always has homemade«bonchon» ready for grabbing. These are one of the things I miss about Philly. Check it out! Most likely if you’re Korean/Asian and live in Philly you already know about this place, but it’s a place that I think for non-Asians would also appreciate. Enjoy!
