Pleasant little spot. Food is pretty good, serving sizes are just right. Service is friendly and attentive. Decorating is plain and location is uninspiring, but they do enjoy a steady stream of local regulars and do well in a town with a wide variety of dining options.

I get the beef phở everytime. Everyone I have introduced to it has liked it. It’s a whole I the wall, but has great food.

My family likes this stop. My wife and I split a plate and my kids split a plate. Food is very consistent and our portion sizes are good. Service is not awe inspiring but efficient. Extremely typical oriental décor and music.

**I believe the name of this restaurant has changed to Prime Thai. I never expected to find such good Thai food in a small town like Elkin. We started off having the delicious fresh vegetable basil roll(what some places call the summer roll) with a rich peanut sauce. Yum! It was perfect for two and extremely fresh. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea and it was delicious. We then enjoyed the papaya salad. The flavor was tasty and bright but we found it strange that it came on a bed of iceberg lettuce. That detracted from the dish a bit. For the main course we had the Seafood combo green curry. It was awesome. The only thing was that the scallops were missing(and we weren’t told about it), but it really did not alter the flavor. So good! Also, the prices are typical for Thai food. Overall reasonably priced and delicious. We just moved to town and this will be one of our regular stops.

This place is a must-eat fried rice the beers are cool and for the groupers I think will fit in low budgets. Go for the Shinga beer which is from Tailand

Looking for Thai generally, and only the best will do? Do not go here. This is not some undiscovered gem that deserves a road trip out of the city. Looking for good Thai food because 21 and main is remodeling again and the fancy place at the winery is booked until sometime in 2016? Well, yes, this is a good spot — and better than the fried fish, mediocre Italian or chain food I usually run into in the Elkin Jonesville metropolitan area. I had the Thai Iced coffee(lovely) and a «hot» chicken dish that had some spice and some onions. My mom had the red chicken curry which she was ok with, but more peppers and onions than she wanted. All in all — very ok, better than anything else around, until 21 and main opens up again. Is it worth a detour off 77? Depends what time it is. If Charlotte is out of range for dinner, go for it. It is very easy to find.

Dewey’s is a gem and an oddity, because I would never expect such great Thai food in Elkin, NC of all places. Dewey himself is so nice. He places high value on customer service and always makes you feel welcome. The food is absolutely delicious. They truly know what they are doing there and it is all packed with flavor. Highlights: the cheese rolls(omg delicious), the Thai iced tea, the yellow curry, and the pad see ew are all of my favorites. I’ve eaten Thai food in a lot of cities, and I almost always end up comparing it to Dewey’s.

We arrived into town quite late and were desperate for a restaurant that had great food; we found outstanding Thai food at Dewey’s! The restaurant is nothing special to look at, but the service was great. We both had curry, green and red with chicken and super fresh veggies. It’s easy to find on the main drag.

Consistently a great experience — authentic tastes, well sized portions, friendly staff. Management changed hands recently and has improved on an already great restaurant. Recommendations: Cheese rolls, Pad See Ew, and a Thai ice tea.

My family and I love Thai food. The Pad Thai here is very good, Fried rice is very good. The larb is extremely salty, I will not get it here again. Lettuce wraps were good. Service was effective but not very personable. I will try this place again, but hope to find other places near here. Prices are above average for similar restaurants. I am spoiled, being from the Charlotte area, where there are many Thai choices.

A surprisingly good find in an area dominated by fast food chains and bland American joints. We stopped during a trip to hike Stone Mountain and visit some wineries in the Yadkin Valley. The pad thai was authentically flavored, if a little sweet, and the panang curry had a hint of complexity. The basil rolls were the least interesting part of the meal, just iceberg lettuce and one Thai basil leaf rolled up in rice paper. Overall, the food is more like what you would expect to find in a big city Thai restaurant than in a tiny town in the southeastern part of the country.
