Excellent little restaurant a couple miles off of I-77 in Elkin. Went with a party of five and everyone loved their meal. My wife is a chicken salad connoisseur and said the chicken salad was a 10. We’ll be going back again soon.

We went to Heaven Scent after the Yatkin Valley Wine Festival this past Saturday. I got the crab cakes and my hubby got a steak. The salad were delish and the dressings were awesome. We took a key lime pie and cobbler to go for a treat with some coffee later… they too were very good. Everyone from the owners to the wait staff were friendly and engaging. I highly recommend Heaven Scent!

Wonderful and friendly. I had an amazing strawberry salad with grilled chicken and feta. Their homemade balsamic dressing was delicious. I asked for to go boxes for my dressing even though my salad was gone. Will definitely come back with the husband next time and try their famous Reuben sandwich.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this place on a weekend trip to town. The staff is amazing, warm, and kind. The setting is as warm and familiar as the staff. My boyfriend had a club sandwich and flipped for the Brussel sprouts. I had chicken Marsala that, although not prepared in a traditional manner, had great flavor, the only down side was my roasted potatoes were very under done. The highlight(this may seem weird) was the amazing homemade salad dressings. I would have bought bottles if they had offered it.

Heaven Scent was recommended to us by a local winery who warned ‘it doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the food is great!’. They were right on both counts. The inside — though small — is appealing and our food and service(from Kevin) was outstanding! I had crab cakes with potato fritters, fruit salad and a garden salad — all were delicious! My wife had the Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries and she raved about them. Marmalade apple butter to dip the sweet potato fries in was a nice touch. Prices were very reasonable, too! A hidden gem in a small town. We will be back! Total bill for dinner was under $ 30 before tip.

Wife had the homemade chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries. Chicken salad was very good, and the fries came with a dip that was made from apple butter, orange marmalade and pear preserves. It was delicious. I had the fish tacos. The fried mahi-mahi was good, and it also had a corn & black bean relish, cabbage, pineapple, feta cheese on it. It was okay, but a few to many topping for my taste. Maybe simplier would have been better for the tacos. Service was very good. We also had an ice tea and a soda. Total bill before tip was $ 21.34

Heaven’s Scent is open. D great. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is great and wonderful staff. Jeff– the owner is great. They did the food for our wedding at Grassy Creek Winery and we love the restaurant. It won’t disappoint you.

We had planned on going somewhere different for dinner, but on a recommendation from someone we decided to try Heaven’s Scent. If you’re looking for a place in Elkin where the locals go to eat, then this is your stop. The food was good, the staff friendly, and the prices excellent. It isn’t a big place and the atmosphere feels like you’re at a relative’s house(in a good way). Mrs. B got the crab cakes and I got the special which was whiting. For $ 8 I got one piece of fish, slaw, and a side. That may not sound like much until you consider that my piece of fish was about the size of two anywhere else. The food wasn’t fancy, but everything was very good.

First things first, this is the smallest(square footage) restaurant I have ever eaten in period. The staff sat us up against a wall in a table for two and they could hardly get by us to wait on the other tables. I am serious when I say this, most peoples living rooms are bigger than this place. The food was reasonably good. My date had the chief salad and I had the Ruben. The Ruben was a large sandwich and very tasty(although Fiddles one street over, Ruben is slightly better) the potato salad was just ok. The chief salad was good but the grilled chicken on the salad was not good. We are going too give this place another shot because the staff seemed so eager too please. If you are coming a long way too eat here you better have a back up plan cause if there are 20 people in here it’s full.

We were on our way to Atlanta and we saw the review on Unilocal, decided to stop at Heaven Scent for lunch. Since it’s thanksgiving day so the owners were actually cooking for their own big thanksgiving dinner. But the owners were very kind, came to our car and gave us a box of cinnamon buns, a bag of cookies and a pond cake. The cinnamon buns were great! Thank you Heaven Scent, we will come back someday!

We were in the Yadkin Valley to do some hiking and wine tasting and stopped in at Heaven Scent for lunch. The food was great, cheap, and we had enough left for dinner that night! We both had the BBQ plate with slaw, baked beans and hush puppies. Everything was delicious. It’s a small place but you can also get take out. Great food and Southern hospitality.
