I don’t write many reviews, but had to after an excellent lunch experience. Carlos, our waiter, was top notch. Immediate service and very personable. We asked Carlos to commend the cooks, because our all you can eat breaded shrimp and cole slaw was delicious. He said the cooks get there early to make it. Nothing out of the bag and it’s homemade. First timers, but we’ll be back.

Now this place has good brisket … And they toast the bread after they butter it. The brisket actually tasted even better for it Pros: great food, wait staff pleasant, clean, nice atmosphere Cons: none

Been there three times within last two months. Food, atmosphere and wait staff were excellent. They have all you can eat pizza and wings on Tuesday’s, Friday’s all you can eat fried fish or fried catfish(which was delicious), and all you can eat fried shrimp. We will be a regular customer, so happy we found this place.

Went there with Chris about a month ago. Stayed at bar and had drinks, appetizer and small pizza. All great! Forgot about dessert it was rich and great with coffee. Place changed hands as a sports bar and remains as such but there is a front dinning section separate. Have not had a meal there but would give it a try. Bar wine and beers are cheap. I think we tried a red wine and okay for the money.

I wish I could give this place negative stars… And I am not a picky person. I was there with my sister late one Friday evening this summer. There were only two other tables of guests. Service was EXTREMELY slow. Waitress seemed flustered and ditzy and was wearing an odd, large hat and shorts. The second time was late last month on a Saturday night. Same waitress… Same odd hat and shorts. Sodas were not ever refilled. My boyfriend ordered prime rib and it looked awful. He eats prime rib at a lot of places, and has NEVER complained, so I was shocked when he signaled the waitress and told her he couldn’t eat it. He explained what the problem was… Tons of grizle, and a crazy amount of fat(more than 1 inch) surrounding the edges and not nicely marbled. More fat and grizel than edible meat. They sent out the chef, who looked about 17, and was in jeans and a dirty t shirt, who said that is how prime rib is. Ummm… No. It is not. I asked three different people for the side of ranch that was supposed to come as part of my meal and it never came. The nachos ordered by my son was basically chips with a huge mound of lettuce(even though lettuce wasn’t listed on the menu as on the nachos). Barely any cheese or other toppings. After paying the bill, which was over $ 60, for food we hated and didn’t eat, we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Worst experience ever.

HORRIBLE!!! This establishments owner blatantly discriminated against a woman in a wheelchair, said that«that thing was taking up space». I am appalled and I will never ever step foot in this place again. I never see it busy anyway, and restaurants have a reputation of not lasting in this building, I hope this one finds the same issue. The manager of this place is so rude. I will never come back. He was so completely rude to a sweet lady in a wheelchair. Right after she was done eating he wanted her to get out because her wheelchair was taking up to much space. He claimed he was losing out on money due to her wheelchair taking up space and he needed to turn over the table. –there wasn’t anyone waiting for that table. Even if there was, let the woman eat & enjoy her time there. OR offer her & her guest to have free dessert at the bar because you REALLY need that table. I’ve worked in restaurants & needed tables due to large parties. There’s ways of speaking to people in a kind way to accommodate to everyone. You make $$ by the services you provide & costumer report, not just«turning over tables.» Bad move manager — this is a small town & you just lost a lot of guests coming back to your establishment.

I am the customer that uses a wheelchair who experienced discrimination at this establishment on Friday 10÷9÷15. A man representing himself as the owner of the restaurant approached our table shortly after we paid our bill for dinner and drinks and said«I am the owner of this restaurant and you have been sitting here for two hours taking up space with that wheelchair and I am trying to run a business here. You need to move that thing out of here and make room for paying customers. I need to turn tables over. You are at a table for four people and I need to make money so you need to get out of the way. You can go over in that corner if you want to stay». The corner seating area which he was referring to would have been too small to accommodate my wheelchair. He then proceeded to literally usher us, two PAYING customers, out the door. His attitude was crass and cavalier. There was not a line of people waiting to be seated, plus there were other open tables!!! That fact, combined with his attitude, made it quite clear to me that my wheelchair was the true issue. In all of my life as a person with a disability, I have never been referred to as «that thing». I will share my experience with this establishment with as many people as I can. It’s a shame.

I have never and I mean NEVER have seen such blatant discrimination before in my life. My friend and I were just treated so poorly when out for dinner at Mojo’s Stonefired Grill in Elkhorn. We had just finished our meal and the owner of the restaurant came over and said«I am the owner of this restaurant and you have been sitting here for two hours taking up space with that wheelchair and I am trying to run a business here. You need to move that thing out of here and make room for paying customers. I need to turn tables over.» Shocked, I looked at him and said, «Excuse me? Did you seriously just ask us to leave? We literally just finished our dinners and drinks.» And he responded«You are at a table for four people and I need to make money so you need to get out of the way. You can go over in that corner if you want to stay.» I looked in the corner and said«What? You want us to go over into that corner? Her wheelchair will not fit back there. We’re at a table for four because that is where her wheelchair will fit.» He responded, «That’s not my problem. I need you to get that chair out of here.» I got up from the table and said«This is the rudest thing I have ever heard. We are paying customers and you are asking us to leave because her wheelchair is taking up too much room?» He responded, «What do you want me to say. I need to run a business, so you need to leave.» Then he ushered us out the door. I should mention, there were other empty tables and NOBODY was waiting in line at the door. Discrimination? I think so. His tone of voice, approach and entire demeanor was shockingly rude.

Once again, this place has changed operators. Charley was and is still the best. It was a mistake to think this place could be run well without Charlie as the last folks started off well but inconsistency, service problems and too frequent menu changes eventually resulted in the last folks finally throwing up the white flag. What went wrong with the last operators? For starters, they put in gambling machines, a gaudy jukebox and way too bright beer-oriented neon signage that ruined the classy atmosphere. Service was often half-baked — especially for their weekend breakfast buffet. It was originally $ 8.99 including coffee and juice and kept getting understandably more expensive but with even bigger service issues — most importantly — keeping the buffet supplied. The third set of operators took over around a month ago. The breakfast buffet we’ve had twice was good along with the the service and they m-u-s-t have replaced the last chef as the bacon was no longer raw and inedible. I had a sandwich at the bar tonight that was supposed to be three steak sliders along with cottage fries. I hate fat so I inquired at length about the sandwich and was assured it was all lean and also that the cottage fries were not seasoned and excellent. I was served a what appeared to be a ribeye steak sandwich — replete with the interweaving gristle and fat on of a ribeye — on a single long bun. The fries were heavily seasoned and very greasy. Some folks would love that meal but it did not fit the printed nor verbal descriptions. I took one look and asked for a to-go box. The bartender did not bother to ask why I decided not to eat it there so I decided to tell her why 15 minutes later when I was leaving. «Oh.» On the positive side, bottles of domestic beer are $ 2 and they have a lineup of pretty popular brands shots at only $ 1 apiece. Problem is, this place won’t make it selling $ 2 beers and $ 1 shots. It needs to get its menus straightened out and get consistent service in place or this third set of owners will meet the same fate as the last ones. I really hope they’re able to pull it off but they need to get some pros in here fast. Can you say C-h-a-r-l-e-y?

Friday fish fry… had baked cod… aka cod jerky! Horrible food… slow service. Not the waiters fault… he had too many tables inside and outside. They don’t pay him enough! Won’t be back.

I have been here twice and am coming back. I have had the fried fish, chicken wings and pizza. They provide a wide range of fish and cooking methods and the fried catfish I had was excellent, the chicken wings were lightly breaded and did not have too much sauce and rate very high for tasty wings. They serve wood-fired pizza and the pizza was thin crust and the crust was cooked thoroughly. I had the chicken ranch pizza which was very tasty and had considerable toppings on it. They also have daily drink specials.

Very nice people and great food! I will definitely come again. The staff was a little distracted despite the place being rather dead, but other than that, I was very pleased.

First time I have eaten here and wasn’t a great experience. Service was rather awkward. Ordered soups as an appetizer and one came out immediately while the other didn’t make it out until after our pizza had arrived and the pot pie soup crust was still undercooked. As for the pizza, we had the sausage which was good, but the sauce seemed similar to a cheap store brand. Beer selection also left a lot to be desired.

Wow, the best brisket I ever had. I wish I could do a Brisket this tender. And the BBQ sauce was excellent. I’ve had BBQ in chicago, Tennessee and Oklahoma and they all claim«best ever». And I always left feeling unsatisfied. But this really was terrific. I spoke with the chef and he told me they make it and he doesn’t use any sugar. If you look at all the BBQ recipes they are loaded with sugar. My wife had a gluten free pizza and it was excellent as well. I really didn’t expect much when we walked in on a Saturday night and there was only one other family eating and the bar was full. That is always my que to leave. But it was mid January and cold outside. All in all a great find and we plan to go back for dinner after we ski Sunday.

We had breakfast there this morning. The breakfast burrito was superb. The toast was the best. Great service and the price is very reasonable. We will definitely go back again. They are new at breakfast but they did a great job. Highly recommend it for locals and travelers. David and Linda Clikeman Elkhorn

We’ve visited three times as a family in the past couple of weeks. Great pizza and salads and the kids love the mac and cheese. Overall the menu is limited but has good options for most tastes. Service is fantastic. Quick and friendly and very accommodating with larger, greater than 10 person parties. Clean and inviting atmosphere.

We used to frequent this spot when it was Charley O’s but now visit it MORE now that’s it’s MoJo’s… Very pleased with the new menu… wider selection, with a great array of BBQ dishes… while retaining a lot of the older favorites… and better, more customer friendly pricing. Just dined there last night… Sarah had a half rack of ribs with veggie sides. It disappeared quickly which is a bit unusual… she usually has to get a doggie bag… but these were too good to not finish there! Veggie was a nice bowl of broccoli with some slaw. Mine was a combo platter… ribs, pulled pork and brisket. All were great but too much to eat there… have some brisket in the fridge for later today. My side was some tasty Mac ‘n Cheese… which was good(but not great… everything goes better with bacon in it!). Beer list is a little weak… just the usual SoWI selections… spotted cow, etc… they need to sharpen that up with a wider selection of craft beers… more /varied New Glarus, Central Waters, etc… All in all, a good spot made better… glad to see a good crowd there at 8 pm on Saturday night.
