Great tucked away micro brewery! You’re on the right path when yoh pass the elk lodge elk — my first«elk» sighting hahaha — love that they have small batches makes you really appreciate the care they take and when it’s gone it’s gone.

This place was awesome. It’s a little hidden, but so worth the find. Depending on the weather there is a sweet outdoor patio, a low light pouring room and long community table in between the two areas. Beer was good, but you have to know that since they are a small place they brew small batches and when ones gone, it’s gone. They don’t brew the same thing twice, so you have to check back every week to see what’s new. Bring your own snacks and kick back for a few hours, Flatland is definitely worth it. I look forward to seeing these guys in local restaurants.

This place is pretty good but it’s missing a bit of togetherness that holds me back from loving it. The staff were super friendly and helpful about their products. They always do new beers every so often so you won’t get a consistent product everytime you go. If you like it, better to get a growler full else you probably won’t get to have more. I like the beer I tried which were the sherbet, Sequoia, chai latte, and lemon drop her. They were interesting but didn’t hold my palettes in a favorable way. Seating is suffice but parking is questionable. Great place to lounge and socialize with friends as the noise level isn’t feeling. Definitely a good start to a great place of potential. Recommended! Pros: beer, rotating selection, innovative, staff Cons: parking Stars: 4

When I came in they were out of a lot of beers but I was ok with that since they are a new brewery. The beers were tasty but I did overhear some of the other customers say that they refused to fill growlers

I would have to say this is one of my new favorite spots in Elk Grove. I am not a beer pro by any means but they do have a great selection. The selection changes every week which is very cool. I like being introduced to new craft beers. The owner Andrew i think is great as well. Easy to talk to and has a passion for crafting beer. I highly recommend this spot. Grab a brew with a friend and just hang out. Try the Coffee Porter when its on tap.

Hubby and I came here a couple of weeks ago. Really chill place with nothing crazy going on. Mature crowd and funny bar tenders! I’m not a beer drinker but hubby really loved the beer and we plan to come back with friends.

Went to Tilted Mash first… Mistake. The beers at Flatland tasted like water. The only one with flavor was the café au lait… but still not worth paying for. Bummer. I was really hoping for a great brewery. Nice seating area.

Yay! A craft brewer in Elk Grove!!! I am a fan. They have sooooooo many things going right for them here! And the couple of things they can improve upon are already in the works. We stopped by last weekend with our besties and had just come from Tilted Mash, where we loved the beer, but being opening weekend, was still a little rough around the edges(but the beer was RI-DIC). Flatland in comparison is polished, pretty and has been open for 11 weeks. As other reviewers have stated, the parking lot is tiny. Big deal. We found parking right away. Walking in to the brewery itself, you can see they put a lot of effort into making this place appealing to the hipster craft brew folk. Gorgeous wood paneling, pretty lighting… and the displays of all of the swag are cool too(you know me, total swag wh*re). Their logo and signage are one thing that they sail past most of their competitors on. The simple golden hop with the elegant font… PERFECT! I had to get a sweatshirt! And a pint glass. And a tulip glass. And some stickers. And honestly, if they had had ladies racerback tanks I would have bought one of those too(wink wink Flatland). Now on to the most important part — THEBEER! The husbands dug the Double IPAs, and we would have gotten a growler, but being small batch brewers, they do not yet have the capacity to fill them. Bummer. BFF and me liked the Belgium, which was a surprise to me as I have never really been into this style of beer. The most surprising for me though was the coffee porter. It was surprisingly light! I am traditionally a stout and porter fan, just not so much in the summer. This light beer reminded me more of an iced coffee… perfect for a summer afternoon! Do yourself a favor and give these guys your business. They are working on releasing some sours(yummy!) and expanding their outdoor space. When they have both of those in place I think this place is going to BLOWUP! Congrats Flatlands on bringing some real quality artistry to Elk Grove!!!

I finally had a chance to visit Flatland Brewing Company! This is a challenge due to the remote location near Highway 99 and Grant Line and their limited hours of operation — closed Sunday. Their modern warehouse chic brewery and taproom has a unique combination of an intimate bar area, larger brewery room, and an external side patio. Flatland rotates their taps often so you will likely have several options. On my trip, they were serving two DIPA with different hop profiles to really show the difference between the two. The second was my favorite with a great overall taste and body. I was not as impressed with the Belgian, but the coffee milk stout was rather intriguing. One of the great parts was the appreciation held by staff to the old Elk Grove Brewing Company with memorabilia in the taproom. You can only fill their growlers here, so be prepared. Also be prepared for the heat since only the main room has air conditioning. They are well suited for those heading back from Lodi for wine tasting, but make sure they know a limo is coming. I wish these guys good luck and am glad they are bringing great beer to the Elk Grove area!

It’s always great to see a new brewery pop up, and even better when you get a chance to chat with the owner. This place is tucked away in a repurposed building with a gated patio, indoor picnic table, and always seems to have a local food truck parked out front. We enjoyed all 3 beers on tap(Café Au Lait Golden Stout was my favorite), and it sounds like they rotate new brews in and out all the time. The people and the brews were topnotch, and I can’t wait to see what else they roll out. If you’re in the area, make a point to stop by this joint.

You owe it to yourself to supoort this local brewery. These guys know their stuff and are pushing the envelope. Beers rotate each week because they do small batches… Every week is a little different and Ihave never been disappointed! Good people, great beer!

I can’t believe a Brewery open up in Elk Grove. I been trying to make it out here since they open but time always gets the best of me. We ordered a flight first of four tasting to check which ones we what a glass of. I like the multi grain and my wife was all about the Belgian dubbel. Price is good also at 3 for a half and 6 for a full. Can’t beat that. Having a food truck as a food option is nice also.

What can I say? I’m very excited to have a local brewery right in the city of Elk Grove for the first time! As I come to Flatland Brewing Company Saturday night on 2÷27÷2016, the atmosphere is quite interesting and friendly here as I welcomed. The concept is much like visiting to a special brewery room from Napa County or Sonoma County with various of wooden and iron materials and furniture which surrounds the whole small room especially their brewing process room too. The service is such a sensational effort! The owner, Andrew of FBC has done a great job for making the customers like me a delightful service. I’m glad that he’s making the best craft beers for the past 10 years as I interviewed with him for the first time. The rest of his supporters are doing fantastical too! No cons here at all! Now onto the drinks. I started with two shots sample of Coffee Porter, and their lightest craft, the Blonde. I really enjoyed both of them as I can feel the crisp flavors and boldness of these two beers although I quite impressed with the Coffee Porter the most. It blended very well by mixing ground coffee and ale altogether in one superb tasty drink. A worthy beer indeed! There’s some parking in this small lot although it also has some surface street parking available if the lot is full. Otherwise, you can also ride a bike, or use public transportation easier without the hassles. All in all, Flatland Brewing Company is the coolest local brewery that I’ve ever experienced right here in Elk Grove! I hope this brewery will thrive in the future, and I’ll defiantly be back for more! Perfect for friends gatherings on a pre-weekend goodness! A recommended visit! My rating: 5 solid stars.

Great hangout spot in the Elk Grove area! A bit far from new Elk Grove, but still accounts for a new spot to hang out! Came here and tried all 4 beers and my favorite was the Porto beer. Very light and crisp that makes you want to continue to sip on your beer. The Old English beer was my least favorite and was too strong for my liking. Hungry? There was a Mexican food truck there to appease your cravings. Overall, this place has friendly customer service, limited indoor seating and parking, and a relaxing ambiance. I would definitely come back for the Porter!

This is a cool new brewery. Beers were good. There was a strong imperial stout that was probably my favorite. Good flavor! Staff were very friendly. Seemed happy and excited to serve you beer. You can tell they enjoy what they do. Only negative is that it’s small. Looks like they’re expanding, but when I was there, they only had about 4 — small tables(4 seats) and some seats along the wall. Overall it was a great experience. Can’t wait to go again and see how they’ve expanded. And try new beers!

We tried this brewery last Saturday and it was amazing. You would be crazy not to come and enjoy all the beers. My favorite was their anniversary beer.

Props for being ready at initial opening — finished interior, glasses with logo, signage complete, POS ready(and working). A small space with limited hours(at least initially). A few tables, wall shelf around the perimeter, and, I believe, a kids corner where drawing on the wall is allowed. Very friendly and informative. Parking in the small lot is not plentiful; I recommend street parking. There were quite a few people in/out in the hour or so I was here. At one point, a line of 4 – 5 at the bar and tables full. The beers will rotate at this small batch brewery tasting room. Six brews were on tap this Saturday, their second day open. You can choose tastes, half-pint, or pint. At $ 2 per taste(about 2oz), I surely opted for one of each: (see pic, left to right — and my short eval) * Royal Quail. a smooth sessions brew * Anniversarye. hoppy bitter IPA * Brass. perhaps slightly Belgian * Post Hop. hoppy with a citrus note(grapefruit) * Newtella. definitely picked up the nut * Derailed. devine and milky smooth @ 13.5abv You can choose tastes, half-pint, or pint. My taste may not be yours but I really enjoyed the last three(Post Hop, Newtella, and Derailed). Atmosphere was inviting and I could see arranging to meet friends here to relax. It’s a bit out of the way for me. I did happen to make acquaintance with a fellow Unilocaler, now in my circle. I heard a rumor, while there, that there may be a sour soon.
