Hi My name is Joe and I like rocks.
Some people collect Beanie Babies, some people collect guns, we collect rocks. Some rocks can be large and jagged and some can be small and smooth and some rocks can be brown but a lot of them are gray. Hold the phone, stop, cut, cut!
We are talking geodes. Large elongated rocks cut in half to show off the magnificent display of bright purple crystals within. We are talking 12″ spheres of smooth brown marble with mesmerizing patterns. I could go on and on about the amazing rocks we have. Most of these rocks we bought from Ron at Elk Grove Mining Company for a lot less money than you would pay for them elsewhere.
You can find him at the Galt Flea Market on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and at the Folsom Boulevard Flea Market on Sundays. In additions to rocks he also sells used tools and new age religious symbols. Ron also has a great variety of wands. He cannot make them magical, you will have to do that yourself, but he has plenty to choose from.
Unfortunately he spends his Februaries in New Mexico. The good news is that he always comes back in March with a new menagerie of rocks.

Here is a secret gem of a business that few may be aware of. If you are a collector of or have an interest in rocks & minerals, this is a fun place to explore for beautiful & unusual items at great prices! This building is actually just a warehouse to store the inventory, but the owner Ron is very happy to invite you in as long as you call ahead. You will often find him working away at making jewelry, wands, incense & candle holders, and other mystical/​new age items. The usage of recycled metals such as pewter is his specialty. The building is quite old & dirty. But what would you expect for the storage of geological specimens? He also sells quality used & refurbished tools of all varieties. My boyfriend will think of Ron first for the purchase of a particular tool. Ron always backs his products. If there is any problems with an item, he is happy to exchange or refund us! If you are a flea marketer, you can usually find him selling his wares at either the Folsom Blvd. Flea Market or at the Galt Flea Market. He is always traveling the states to rock & gem shows looking for bargains to sell to his customers that are still quite a deal for us! It is always fun for me to visit his booth at the flea markets or his warehouse. I end up treating myself to some sort of collectible! But that’s just me — a rock hound!
