Amy was amazing for my wedding! She was referred to us by a dear friend and I’m so glad I took her advice! We were able to have our engagement shoot in South Lake Tahoe and had beautiful sunset pictures on the lake. As luck would have it, it rained on our wedding day, but Amy was not concerned and was able to take excellent photos. She even used the rain to our advantage. She was so calm and collected the day of the wedding and all times we met before, she made the process so easy! I highly recommend her!

Words cannot describe how happy my family and I are with Amy Atkins. From the first time I messaged her, first time meeting her, engagement session, wedding session, album proofs, and numerous emails she is the closest person to perfect! We are overwhelmed with joy to have Amy as our photographer. She is the most caring, reliable, and talented photographer we could have asked for! We met with serval photographers locally to miles away and then we received a referral about Amy and boy was she a blessing! My mom and I met her and were completely blown away, I will always remember the drive back home with my mom and we could not believe how perfect she was. She was the saving grace for our wedding. Anything I needed, she was an email away and would respond so quickly. Her prices were AMAZING and her work is even more STUNNING. We are absolutely taken away with the photographs she captured for us, but then we received the album and canvas that was included in our package we selected, that excited us even more. My husband and I were very nervous to take pictures (which was a new feeling for us) and she made us feel so comfortable! She captured every picture that we could have wanted and she used the sunlight to her advantage in ways we have never seen. I could go on and on about her, but honestly if you could take away anything from this post please know that she will do her absolute best to make the day so memorable for you and will not disappoint. Amy thank you for becoming our photographer for our special day that we will always remember! Amy is incredibly talented and has a creative eye for high quality photographs. I used her skills for a professional business photo and went to her studio to have them taken there. She was easy to work with and made me feel comfortable and relaxed in order to capture true personality in the photo. I highly recommend her services for individual business portraits!

The family photos we took with Amy were beautiful. She took the time to work with our large family and captured several special moments. This was our first family photo shoot, and thanks to Amy, we have several beautiful photos around our home. Amy also has a very wonderful and generous spirit and I know you will enjoy working with her.

Amy has taken my family photos on several occasions and I am so thrilled by the locations she chooses and the eye she naturally has. The maternity session she gave our family was amazing and the photos were so timeless and elegant. Amy also did our family photos and newborn photos which we love. She is always able to capture the moment perfectly and has a wonderfully warm personality!

Amy was absolutely awesome. She has so many props and ideas should you have no idea what you want to do for your newborn pictures. She really knows her craft and has a great attitude and energy about her. She was on time, professional and quick to respond to my questions. Definitely using Amy again for 6 mos/​holiday photos. I think so many things about Amy Atkin’s Photography… it will be challenging to contain them and my excitement. Let’s start with the most important… she is insanely talented. She has an eye for beauty in the oddest places… it’s like she sees the world differently. You know those moments in life you wish you could remember forever? She captures them. Oh and then those moments that you missed you wish you could get back? She got them… and you look fabulous in them!
Another thing I appreciate is her use of nature… honestly I don’t like nature… I know… weirdo…but with Amy it’s not so bad and actually enjoyable to be outside. Anyone that can get me outside and like it is a miracle worker.
Don’t get me started on miracle worker either because she can take the most un-​photogenic people and make them look amazing. I think it’s because she captures the beauty within everyone… she’s so fun, easy-​going, and a calm presence you can’t help but be yourself and shine around her.
Next…economically…she’s worth much more than she knows… but the packages that she creates are worth every penny. She knows what’s important coverage wise, sessions included, and culturally. I never felt like I was going to miss something or something would be left out at our wedding because she had us covered. We also had our engagement shoot which was the same experience. I didn’t leave going… I wish had done this or that… Amy had it covered. She doesn’t create huge hoops to jump through just to post something on Facebook. I didn’t have to worry I would get slapped with a copyright something or other.
Availability: this woman is awesome… I used our engagement shoot (included in our package) to create our guestbook for the wedding. I needed like 3 different versions of her logo and she sent them right away without any hesitation even when I kept needing different ones. And then when the book came in I felt totally comfortable texting her a picture of the book because I was so excited and she was excited and giddy with me!
She’s collaborative: she has her own ideas and is open to ours, things we want, ideas we have, and weaves them in seamlessly. I’m only sorry she could shoot our wedding only once… but that’s why there’s Christmas cards, baby announcements, maternity photos, and family portrait sessions right?
In closing: Given the choice for any photographer in the world I would choose Amy again without hesitation or second thought. We are so lucky to have found her and you will be too.
She is professional, personable, and perfect.

Amy was awesome very patient with my daughter who was only a few weeks! She had a little studio set up in her living room. Def, gonna use her again and her prices were so affordable!

My friend Judy somehow stumble upon finding Amy and she referred me to her. We were both looking for a newborn photographer that captures beautiful newborn photos and will not rob your bank account! Boy, it was my lucky day when I received a text message from my friend with Amy’s info! I immediately contacted her ASAP by phone and asked her few questions and she explained the process and pricing in detail. I booked her right away!
When I finally gave birth, we scheduled the session within 5 days at her home studio. She also gives you the option to have the session taken at your home but because where I live, the lighting in my living room is very poor and I didn’t want her to lug everything around. Therefore, we opt out and decided to have it taken at her home studio which was perfect!
We arrived at her home studio without getting lost. The home studio was heated for the comfort of my newborn. Amy had everything set up and was ready to go! She also have many background and props to utilize. We brought our own props that I had last year from my one year old.
During the session, Amy was very patient and good with my newborn — when he started crying, she would rock him and calm him down. Even I wasn’t able to calm my own baby and I have four kids of my own! She’s great!!! Let me tell you… After having few kids of your own, I’ve been through so many photographers and studios for newborn and family sessions, and I can tell you that once your baby cries, they usually don’t care and just let you handle it but with Amy, she was so patient and took charge of my newborn like it was her very own! When my one year old wouldn’t smile, she knew he likes Yo-​Gabba-​Gabba so she went on singing and dancing for him! Which got my one year old laughing and dancing, too! That’s an A++++++ for me! Even my husband and kids said she was amazing… You know kids and men don’t notice these things but they did so that should say a lot!
Amy spent a good amount of time with us and didn’t rush us at all. She made sure she captured certain pose and props I requested. After the session, she gave us a timeline as to when to expect the gallery and I received it earlier than expected, another A+! When I received the gallery, I was in awe… Every image was absolutely beautiful!!! She made it very hard for me to select because they were all so meaningful that I couldn’t just pick a few! So, I decided to purchase the digital files of 100 images =)
I really wished I found Amy two years ago when I got married, her wedding photos is just truly amazing. I get touched just looking at her wedding photos and I don’t even know her clients.
I’m a wedding coordinator and I will be sending my future brides to her! If you’re a bride and reading this email, you’ve found your wedding photog, trust me on this! I will be booking my son’s 6 months and one year cake smash session with Amy. She is now officially our go-​to family photographer!
