American Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning

After calling another company, waiting two hours beyond the 4 hour window they gave me, and then having them cancel because of «an emergency call,» I called American Comfort. They scheduled service the next day, sent a great technician Mark P, who called ahead, was very friendly, and fixed the problem in about 15 minutes (even though it was a rooftop unit!). What I thought could be a major problem ended up being a $ 160 fix, and they gave me a «first time customer» discount, which brought the bill to under $ 100. I will call them again if we have trouble with any of our commercial properties.

I’m a new home owner and thought I’d be responsible by purchasing the buywithme deal for a furnace cleaning. I made sure to check their service area before I purchased. Their site lists Chicago and a bunch of suburbs and since I’m 15 minutes from downtown and right off the lake, I figured it wouldn’t be a problem.
The representative was very nice on the phone, but it was obvious that while I was put on hold, someone told her that they wouldn’t service my zipcode. It’s very frustrating to live on the Southside and constantly be turned down by companies that apparently don’t go past a certain invisible divider. Oh well, if they’d booked they would have found a relatively quiet, well kept neighborhood, those do exist South you know.
If my money isn’t refunded, someone will be getting another call.

We have had air conditioner cleaning and preventive maintenance done with American Comfort since Spring 2009. Additionally, we had them do duct cleaning in the Summer of 2010.
We are very satisfied with their service, professionalism and punctuality. They are very thorough, performing several system performance checks and use specialized equipment to inspect your system.
