Today was the second time I ever ordered from this restaurant and I was happy with the food; it was delicious. However, I am very disappointed with the delivery person. I am from Union, which is the next town over. So for lunch, I wanted Chinese food, so I used GrubHub which lead me to this restaurant. I ordered and everything was paid for with tip. About 30 minutes later, I got a phone call from an angry man that said that he was outside. So I went outside and the first thing that the guy said to me is that my house is too far that they only deliver to .4 miles from their restaurant. He was irritated. Right now, I went to their website and it says that they deliver within 3 miles radius and I am pretty sure that my house is in that. The worst part is that he then said to never order from his restaurant! I was perplexed! I tried to tell him that GrubHub wouldn’t have let me order from this restaurant if they did not deliver to me! But, he wouldn’t listen! He was verbally abusing me, basically saying that I was stupid and did not know what I was saying! Then, he was screaming at my mailman about me. My neighbors were staring at us and I am mortified. I never experienced this type of service before! I understand if he said it in a joking manner that the trip to my house was too long; I would have given him more money for tip. But, this is unacceptable! I will NEVER order from this place again, even thought the food was great. There are so many Chinese restaurants in the area and I am sure most of them do not have this type of delivery person.

DONOTGETDELIVERIESFROMTHISPLACE! They will give you tiny portions of the poorest quality and they’ll take over an hour to bring it to you. I ordered four sushi rolls and asked for them to be separated but they squished them into two containers. On top of that, the rolls were tiny and they were all rice… There was barely anything inside of them. Two of them weren’t even ones I ordered. I paid extra for two containers of spicy mayo and each was less than a quarter full. I called to complain and said that I wanted my money back but they said I’d have to bring it back to them because they were closing soon. Absolutely horrible. If you’re going to make the mistake of eating food from this place, make sure you dine in so you can send the food back when they mess it up.

We ordered food from this restaurant via Grubhub in great quantities to try the place out for the first time. After an hour and a half, and several phone calls to Grubhub, we got several updates telling us that the restaurant«needed more time» to prepare our food. I hedged my bets and ordered food from another restaurant while my fiancée fielded calls from the incoherent delivery man who was sent to another town by mistake and could not find our house despite being told, numerous times, where EXACTLY we lived. The restaurant then called us to say that our food would not be arriving. No apology, no explanation, just that the driver drove to the wrong town. I guess this happens a lot? Geez. Never again.

Eh, I guess this was ok. I ate it. Sushi was super whatever, kani salad was mostly cucumber, and I didn’t get a spoon for the hot and sour soup. delivery took an hour also. Kind of ate it thinking«hope this doesn’t make me feel sick» ugh should have read reviews before.

First time ordering from here and definitely my last. Messed up my order, took 1.5 hrs to deliver, sushi was HORRIBLE definitely not fresh. Went straight in the garbage.

Coming From NYC, I must say finding the right Chinese food place in NJ is extremely freaking hard!!! Every time I used to visit NJ since 1997 I tried different Chinese food takeouts and was very, very disappointed with the out come so I gave up. Then I met girl from Elizabeth, NJ and she lived a few blocks from Szechuan Dynasty which was then(Panda Garden) and I was hungry for Chinese food but I wouldn’t eat it from NJ thanx too the disappointing experience. She kept insisting that I try it from them even though she doesn’t eat Chinese food, but her family did… lol? I said no thanx! Anyways her family ordered from there, Shrimp Fried Rice, Eggrolls, Beef & Broccoli, Garlic Shrimp & Broccoli and Pepper Steak, I went to help pick up the food at the same time I wanted to see the place. The place was an old school looking restaurant I was like hhhmmm looks ok… went back to the house food was being served and I was like looks«pretty good» so I decided to try it and I was surprised it was very good! since 97 I only order from this place and still do… from late 2013 – 2014 The only 2 complaint that I have is, I do wish their rice was a bit on the lighter side and I don’t know if they either rotate the cook or falling short on staff sometimes the rice looks too greasy.

First time visitor. Interior is cute. Not big place. But not to small either. It was 1p when came here so it was empty. Ordered The Happy Family. First time having it. And enjoyed it a lot. I got the taste of everything. shrimp, chicken, scallops, beef and pork. But I enjoyed it with shrimp fried rice not white rice which it comes with. This was the best Chinese food I’ve tasted yet. Great lunch

This is the best Chinese food in the Elizabeth area hands down. I usually get the sesame chicken and it’s fantastic. Every Christmas Eve my family orders a huge feast from here and they have yet to disappoint. Just one tip: get take out. Delivery takes a long time and sometimes they mess up the order. Not worth docking a star because the food is good. I’ve heard awesome things about their fried rice though I usually prefer white rice. It looks very good though, like it was freshly made in a pan vs. the prepackaged stuff you get at most Chinese food places. I have no idea why people say the food is so subpar but it’s leagues better than the generic Chinese in the area. Finally the sushi. If you are looking for incredible sushi in Elizabeth you’re in the wrong place. That being said, Dynasty’s sushi is much, much better than the grill a few fronts down and the chain express business down the street. The sushi isn’t bad and the prices are average. There are better places to go and there are worse. In summary: go here for take out Chinese. If you want sushi and don’t want to drive, choose Dynasty over anything else on Elmora Ave.

While i agree that the sushi is sub par and the food is only okay, it is my opinion that this is the best of the available delivery options in the Elizabeth /Linden Area. Peking Duck is excellent and the rest of the food is all much better than your standard Chinese takeout.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for a number of years and it has yet to fail, although I think there has been a new owner for the last 4 years or so. In any case today I walked in, to find yet again a pretty empty restaurant, I still can’t figure out why, and had dinner. This is one of the few sit down Chinese restaurants in the area and I just love the nice ambience and sense of relaxation when you walk in. The staff was very quick to seat and us and take our order. I started off with a wonton soup which was hot and delicious. It wasn’t a bowl of salt like you would get at most other Chinese restaurants. The wontons were also quite firm but were also soft enough to cut with my spoon and still maintain form. Along with the soup they brought those so delicious and crispy, fried noodles with sweet and sour sauce, yum. Next was my main dish of chicken and broccoli with pork fried rice. Since I ordered the combination platter every thing came on one plate and was appropriately portioned. Overall the food was very good and appropriately priced. The only downside was the communication from the waitstaff but then again I’d take quiet over loud anyday. I would highly recommend this establishment for anybody that’s looking for a delicious Chinese meal and looking to save a couple of bucks. I hope to see more of you there!

My wife and I order from this restaurant on a(perhaps overly) regular basis. It’s family owned and operated, inexpensive and fairly consistent in quality. The bulk of their business is take-out and delivery, so the dining room is usually pretty empty. Some may consider the service speed to be a little on the slow side, but I think that’s a product of our hurried lifestyle. I prefer to sit back, relax and enjoy one dish at a time. If you want it quick, order take-out, but if you want it at its best, enjoy it in their quiet dining room and be patient. The lunch specials range from $ 5 to $ 6 and include soup and fried or steamed rice! Our favorites on the menu are the Crispy Duck(boneless, crispy half-duck atop plenty of veggies in a savory brown sauce), Moo Shu Pork(pork, cabbage and other veggies stir fried in a slightly sweet sauce, served with tortillas and plum sauce), Singapore Rice Noodles(slightly-spicy curry rice noodles with chicken, roast pork, shrimp & veggies), the Hunan Crispy Whole Fish(a whole fish, fried crispy and served with spicy hunan sauce) and our guilty-pleasure is the General Tso’s Chicken(sweet/tangy/spicy fried chicken served with steamed broccoli). Parking on Elmora(metered) can be tricky, so I recommend you park on one of the side streets(free) and walk an extra half a block. While there’s really no such thing as truly authentic Chinese(and many people would run in fear if they ever found it) to be found in Elizabeth, Szechuan Dynasty will satisfy most people’s cravings for their favorite take-out dishes.

This is a small family-run pan-Asian restaurant with a little bit of everything. I went on a not-so-busy Thursday evening for dinner. Even with the restaurant mostly empty, service was slow and inefficient. The food quality is terrible and not worth even the low prices this restaurant has. I noticed most of the business on this night was from take-out orders as opposed to patrons eating in the restaurant. The sushi is sub-par. The only good thing about it is that the rice to filling ratio is good.
