I love this place!!! My sisters and I needed a haircut so bad and the usual place we go to is 45 min from us and it’s out of the way. I was on Unilocal looking at salons and we found this one. I wasn’t disappointed at all. They cut hair so beautifully and you come out with your hair nice and soft feeling amazing. I come here every ⁴⁄₅ months for my regular haircut with «Fior». She’s works magic. The only reason I give this place a 4 and not a 5 was because no one speaks English there. So sometimes when I wanna do something different to my hair it’s hard to explain. I just wish someone was there who spoke English. But besides that I love this place.

If you want a REALLY BAD haircut, go here! I walked out of there so disappointed and angry! Its been almost 3 weeks since the cut and by this time I thought I would be able to adjust to the mess Sonia created but its gotten worst. I walked in there with long, fine hair and asked her to layer it up with a face frame. She layered my WHOLE head with a thinning razor with a dull blade!!! You CANNOT use a razor on hair like mine EVER!!! I told her specifically no flat iron, she curls my hair with a flat iron. I walked out of there with curls and really short bangs. My hair is stringy, pointy, ends are destroyed, feels dry and looks like a one-​sided mullet. Because of the razor cut, my ends look dull even after coloring and its been terribly thinned out. I don’t know how long it will take to grow out these shredded layers but I will never recommend or stop in this place ever. Its surprising to know that they have been in business for 20 years, especially with the owner having no personality to top it off.

This place is horrible. No one there can cut hair and they barely speak English. I had two incidence there. Once about 9 yrs ago I came in for a trim and shaping of my long layers. The stylist cut my hair into a V shaped cut with no consideration to the shape of my back and that my hair is extremely curly. I hated it when I spoke to Sonia about it she said well the hair cut is right but doesn’t look right on you. Of course no refund or any complementary services. Since then I became a licensed cosmetologist. Due to the limited salons in this area I decided to try Sonia’s one more time. As soon as I sat in the chair I told the stylist I am a cosmetologist so I know a good hair cut she pretended to understand me and OMG from the first cut I felt something wasn’t right. I didn’t want to prejudge the lady so I went home and checked my cut. My hair cut was so uneven I went back and spoke to Sonia’s husband about the only person that speaks good English. He took me to Sonia who checked my hair cut and said yes it was uneven. Then she puts me back in the same lady’s chair who cuts one snip of hair and tells me she’s done. I was so stupid for previously tipping well and pay these ppl. If you want a great blow out or roller set Sonia’s is great any color or cutting go to NYC and pay the$$$ you will be happier. Also there are no visible licenses on the shop walls.

Great customer service. Great people. And my haircut came out just as I asked Sonia to do it. She’s great. The place looks a little «ghetto» from the outside, but once you walk in you’ll change your mind.

This place I found a couple months ago, I was a little skeptical about coming here but I’m very glad I did. My hair felt and looked the best it’s ever been, I use to go to a salon 45 mins away from where I lived but this one is so great, last time my sisters and I booked an appt and the lady gave our times away, so no use doing that, it’s very expensive, but it’s worth it to me (: try it

As a african american woman i highly recommend this place. They are clean, fast and friendly. And might i add the pricing is on point. When I go, I get a wash, blowout and sometimes a deep condition and its all under 40 bucks! Trust me when i say this is a hot spot!

Grrrrrllllll if you want to get your hair did-​and I am talking the works-​for about a hundred bucks come see these ladies! My hair always looks sooo good and I credit Sonia and Marcella. They use and carry the best best hair products. And wanna talk love? They feature 5 $ samples of their best schwag weekly on the counter. You can purchase the curling irons used by the ladies right in the shop. Those of you who are wondering what the big deal is about their curling irons will just have to go get your hair did.
The salon is right on Elmora Ave. so you can’t miss it! Parking is always going to be an issue around here so I am not even going to go there. They all speak Spanish so if you DO NOT then be patient and speak slowly. Not a complaint just preparing my girls who are not Hispanically lingual.

i’ve been going to this place for the last 10 years — it’s a great place with an awesome owner and staff — alot of sexy ladies in here always and if your a guy and need a tight fade or shape up Mario and Carlos have the sickest skillz — it gets busy but no one is rushed out which is good!
Place is OPEN and not going to Close i’m sure for along time.
