Port Deli & Grill

I am always a fan of Portuguese rib and rice, I like to try different restaurant each time because each store taste different have their own kick to it. So I came upon this one in elizabeth, never try before, decide to give it a shot, order some delivery online seamless, I found their prices to be few dollars higher than other Portuguese restaurant in the area, but still I wanted to try it, so I picked some of their popular dishes such as pork rib combo, beef rib combo, and my favorite cheesesteak. The delivery came within reasonable amount of time, quicker than expected, so one star for that, but the driver called me beforehand spoke little to no English, when she got there she refuse to get out of car, it was broad daylight in a fairly populated area, I had to reach in through passenger door to get the food, which I is a first occurrence for me, weird but no big deal. The food come with one piece of bread which I actually liked and finished, now the rest is a different story. Pork ribs very hard, possibly overcooked, beef ribs tasted like burn charcoal, lack any other flavor but burnt taste, fries were a bit too soggy for me, understandable due to being delivered, but rice taste like nothing, no flavor at all, most of it end up it the garbage, I don’t like to waste food but I just couldn’t force myself to chew it down. cheesesteak was meh, I’ll pass. So this will be my first time and definitely last time ordering from this place.

Give it 1star because the food was edible. The price seems fair at 1^st but the additional HIDDEN CHARGES add up! The business owner is a SNAKE (cheats on his customers all the time). CHECK THIS they change their prices as they please WITHOUT telling the customer. DON’T count on the current listed prices. ALSO there’s a CHARGE for the takeout containers and in ADDITION there’s another CHARGE for using your credit card (found out about ALL THESE ADDITIONAL FEE’S and price changes at the checkout after eating our food). All in all, between the food price changes and other fee’s it was $ 20 added to our total bill. NEVER coming back here again. Unilocalers SPARE YOUR SELF and AVOID this hardship there’s other great Portuguese spots nearby.

Food is always good. service is good as well but the wait time for the food is Extremely long.
