This is a beachy little bar in Downtown Elizabeth City. I was told that there’s not much nightlife in Elizabeth City, and judging by the charming character of the little town, I’m not surprised. This place was sufficient in quenching my alcohol thirst and I was satisfied! It was not super crowded, but there were definitely enough people there on a Friday night. It was really fun to people watch here. Lots of folks were dancing in the middle of the bar and it looked like they were having a blast! They had some pretty cool drink specials like«Papa Smurf» which tasted like a blue motorcycle. There’s not a ton of beers on tap but the ones they did have weren’t bad. The bartenders don’t skimp on the alcohol either, two drinks had me pretty drunk. I just wish it didn’t have to be Florida themed. There are plenty of beautiful beaches right here on the coast of NC.

Logan Rayes is a small time Elizabeth City, NC bar & grill that tries to sell you Key West, FL big time. Plastic swordfish and other island-themed paraphrenalia are found decorating every bit of the place. It’s kind of strange… come on guys, E-City isn’t THAT bad! Service can be kind of slow as they usually only have 1 bartender working, but drink prices are reasonable, and the bartender might forget to charge you for a drink or 2. Considering the fact that this is 1 of 3 bars in E-City,(the other one doesn’t serve liquor– , and the last one should probably be avoided– ) makes Logan Rayes A-OK.

Back on town and thought I would come back again. Ordered the Chicken Tacos. They were prepared a little different and what a treat.

I was in Elizabeth City on business and needed to find something for dinner late on a Sunday night. There really isn’t much in downtown Elizabeth City, well not what I could find, but Logan Rayes was well lit and clean so I went in. It is a bar type place and I sat at the bar with two other gentlemen who were also here on business. I got the Crabcake sandwich with fried green tomatoes. I was really excited that you could get fried green tomatoes as a side, but they weren’t really all that great so ultimately I was disappointed. Sandwich was good though, and the service was friendly. So ultimately for the choices I had at the time I’m glad I went here.
