A true big Boston style Italian with cubed veggies on some real good bread. Great sub, prices are higher than a pizza shop but when you see the size of a small you realize why. Pizza is available by the slice, all items come with a good oversized portion. It’s mostly take out but there is a tv and some tables for a quick chow down. Closes at 6 which is too bad Scott loses out on some pizza business because of the early closing.

The sandwiches here are nothing to write home about and the ice cream is mediocre. I don’t know where they get the idea that they can charge those prices for what you get. However, readers should note that there are very limited choices to be found in Eliot. Better off to eat in Portsmouth or Kittery. This place does have one thing going for it. The staff is super friendly.

Very disappointed. Ordered with others for a delivery to work and a couple of the orders were missing an item. I ordered a salad and received no dressing and someone ordered a dinner and did not receive their salad. I called the business to let them know that I was missing items and they told me their final decision was that they put out more food for delivery to my place of employment then any other company and my one order or lack of wanting to order again would not effect them. I will never order again. Besides, my chef salad was ALL iceburg lettuce and had very little of any other ingredient. Circle Subs is a much better choice for both subs and salads!!!

The Daily Scoop is a roadside restaurant located along Route 236 serving breakfast(daily 6AM-11AM), lunch, and dinner. The interior is family friendly and casual with sit-down eating(menus at the table), an HDTV, and takeout counter. There’s also picnic table outside. This place serves up sandwiches, pizza, salads, soups, kids menu, and daily specials are posted. Hood soft serve and Bliss Dairy hard ice cream treats with many flavors to choose from are also offered. The prices are pretty fair, a slice of specialty pizza is $ 2.50, Hungry Man’s Special Breakfast is $ 6.99, large sandwiches(with chips & pickle) are $ 6.25-$ 6.95. I decided to stop here to grab some takeout on the way back to NH. I was greeted by the staff and owner as soon as I walked in. I was given a plastic menu and they pointed out the specials on the board near the large TV showing football. I finally decided on the Chicken Deluxe Sub Special($ 3.95) served with a bag of Lays chips & pickle, a pretty good deal! The good sized half sub had 3 chicken fingers, juicy bacon strips, tomato, and leaf lettuce covered with a thick cheese sauce in a soft sub roll. I enjoyed the food outside since it was a nice evening. This is just what I needed, good roadside food.
