Ordered 200 $ in take out for a graduation party. Was there at 730 to pick up. Only waited about 2 minutes and name was called. 3 big bags were set up. I asked is it all here and was assured it was. Paid bill drove 10 miles to find out a quarter of the order was missing. Food was good but not good enough for me to make 2 trips. No apology was offered. Will i go back? Yes its far better than what is locally. Was disappointed by lack of empathy.

This is a little Chinese Restaurant in a strip mall type place not far from my house. Big on flavor and priced reasonably. I hadn’t heard of it until a friend told me how great it was. Tonite I stopped by to satisfy my craving for shrimp and lobster sauce. My favorite! I ordered the dinner plate and brought it home. Pork fried rice was tasty and fresh with nice pieces of barbecued pork and onion; the shrimps were big and juicy; and the lobster sauce was fantastic. I was thrilled because it’s hard to find good lobster sauce — which is actually made from ground pork. It’s a sauce for lobster, like spaghetti sauce is a sauce for spaghetti. The first time I ever ordered it — at the China Star in Quincy, MA — I thought I was getting lobster. Then it was explained to me and it still tastes delicious just over rice. Ok, back to my dinner tonight… The accompanying chicken wings were cooked perfectly, crispy with a slightly ginger flavor. I was in heaven. All for 8 bucks. You do get charged .25 if you use a card to pay. Plenty of parking, friendly Chinese guy, fast service. I’ll be back! I wonder if they deliver!

I’ve been to Chinese restaurants all over, including Chinatown in Boston where you can find some of the best in the US. This little out-of-the-way place in Eliot, Maine is truly amazing when it comes to food quality. Absolutely the tastiest Chinese(American Chinese that is) food I’ve ever had. I haven’t asked how they season their food– I’d be interested to know, if they’re willing to divulge that. The best example of how perfectly they season their food is the chicken wings. Now, I am not a chicken wing fanatic at all. I’ve never even been to one of those«wings» places. These chicken wings are the tastiest, with some Chinese spices that are to die for, and they are cooked exactly the right length of time, which is key– not underdone, but not cooked to death like you get in some Chinese restaurants. These wings are juicy, spicy(but not overpowering) and… well, you can see I am amazed by them. I could make a meal of just chicken wings at this place. But everything else is also very nicely done. This is the real deal. Why«only» a four? Well, this is not a place where you would take your Valentine on a date tonight. This is a place where you’d get a very nice take-out lunch to bring home to your Valentine tomorrow. It’s a small space, and pretty dive-y inside. You can see back in the kitchen though, and that looks fine. Also, the location is kind of the middle of nowhere. If these guys opened up in a downtown location in one of our fine Seacoast towns, they’d be insanely busy all the time. Finally, I have the same minor disappointment that I have with virtually all Chinese restaurants outside of Boston– no duck. I like duck. And if a local Chinese restaurant offered it AND it was boneless(if you’ve ordered duck at a Chinese restaurant, you know why I suggest this), I would probably just move in and eat lunch and dinner there all the time. Anyway, if you are in the Maine/NH Seacoast area, and you suddenly have a craving for Chinese food, this is THE place. Worth the trip. Highly recommended!

I think the food is well prepared, and tasty. The comment that the portions are big and the food is greasy is 100% wrong. The portions are fine, but not 2 meals worth like some others. It is not greasy at all. My only irritation is that they hit you with extra costs for all sorts of things. They used to substitute lo mein for fried rice in the specials. now its a $ 1 extra. they raised prices, and eliminated the ability to change. I went in for a $ 6.50 lunch special and they charged me $ 10.00. after 3pm, changed to lo mein. Not happy about that. But like the food… I will still go, but will not order any changes. They should tell you what the cost will be before putting the order in. IMHO.

Best Chinese take put north of Boston’s China Town. Definitely worth driving a few extra miles to get to.

Just in the paper for failing a health inspection. I have eaten here before its very greasy but they do give you big portions. They have tables but it is very sparse so its mostly take out.

First, let’s be realistic, we are in Maine… Not Chinatown… But, the dishes are surprisingly delicious and fresh. Their beef dishes are excellent. Their appetizers are the standard and are just as good as any. The hot and sour soup is the best. Food is always hot, ready and affordable … Great Sunday night indulgence. Wish they would deliver…

Amazing take-out, the General Tso’s chicken and crab rangoons are some of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve since moved out of town and none of my new Chinese places come even close to being as tasty as here.

I drove from Dover, NH to get this Chinese food! The food was amazing! We had Peking ravioli, boneless spareribs, chicken fingers, egg roll, pork fried rice and beef teriyaki. The man at the counter was very friendly. When I opened the bag, they had placed all the sauces in a plastic bag to prevent spillage. They also put a piece of cardboard at the bottom of the bag and in between each box to keep the bag stable. They Also separated the fried food from the non fried food. The food wasn’t very greasy and had great flavors to them, especially the sauce that comes with the Peking ravioli! Usually, I don’t use the sauce because at other restaurants it basically soy sauce with nothing else added. But this sauce, had some spicy ginger in it which gave it a great flavor and wasn’t very salty! They gave us huge portions which will easily allow for some left overs for lunch! I am glad we stumbled across this little restaurant. If you weren’t looking for it, you would probably not know it was there in the little plaza it is situated in. Prices are decent. My hubby and I will definitely make the trip out again!

Great takeout! We had chicken fingers, beef teriyaki, boneless spare ribs, Peking ravioli, and pork fried rice. Every one of them was among the best tasting I’ve tried. Even the sauce for the ravioli was excellent, and I don’t usually even have sauce with Peking ravioli! The man who cashed us out was very friendly and helpful. Even the way they packed the food to go was great. They separated fried and non-fried in the bag, putting cardboard between them to stabilize the bag. They even put the sauces in a plastic bag to prevent spillage, which not everyone does. Everything was packed in a thick brown bag and stapled. Everything felt as hot as if it were straight from the kitchen when we unpacked it in Dover 25 minutes later. You’d never know this place was there, but I can tell you that we will be making the drive again now that I know it is!

This is the best take-out Chinese food that I’ve found in the seacoast area. The portions are large, the prices are decent, and the food is delicious. Let’s be clear… this is not some fancy place with authentic and/or healthy Chinese cuisine. This is your run of the mill Chinese take-out joint, but with the tastiest food around. It is kind of strange inside, as there is a lot of space with several spread out tables, but I’ve never seen anyone actually eat inside the restaurant. It is a little out of the way to get to this place, but I believe it to be worth the trip!

Good prices and nice variety. Not a place your want to eat in at(only a couple of small tables), but perfect for take-out!

If you are in Southern Maine near RT236 and your savoring for Chinese food. East Mountain Restaurant is the best place for«Take Out»! I say this beacause the décor realy is not for a sit down meal. Ah, the dishes are fantastic, the portions are big — worth the trip… I would call ahead. Message from Seacoast Tai-Chi Institute

This is the best Chinese food in the seacoast area. You will find things on this menu that few restaurants outside of Boston have. It’s not a place you’ll want to stay and eat especially in the winter, but get takeout. You won’t be disappointed. I’ve been going there since they opened a few years ago and it is still the best around.

This is by far my favorite Chinese place in the area. A co-worker of mine introduced me to this place and told me to check it out. Now, I have had my share of pork fried rice, but this stuff was actually good. Not only did I try some of the pork fried rice that came with my meal, I actually enjoyed the stuff for once. The prices are quite reasonable, and their lunch specials are extremely cost efficient. You can get a complete meal for $ 5.50! I recommend this place to anyone looking for some decent take-out Chinese.
