Pro Wash Express

Pro Wash Express — Elgin
Location/​Layout — 4.5÷10: The carwash is located on the south side of Larkin Ave, just east of Randall Rd. They have two automatic, no touch, wash bays and several manual, pressure washer wand, wash bays. The bays themselves are starting to show some wear, with rust on the metal parts and mold growing in areas along the plastic opaque roof panels; as is the parking lot which could use some work to the tarmac and the curbs. Additionally, the machinery its self is starting to show some wear and tear with some of the protective padding coming off. There are a couple of vacuums and a limited number of parking spots to clean and dress the interior or hand dry your car. They also offer a small vending machine to purchase wipes, air fresheners, and other items to assist in the cleansing process.
Service — 6.5÷10: There is usually someone on site during standard business hours, including weekends. Whenever we have needed assistance they are always very friendly and quick to assist.
Overall Experience — ⁵⁄₁₀: As far as bay style washes go Pro Wash is a decent option. I much prefer to hand wash but in a pinch these types of facilities really help to knock off unwanted salt or an avian aerial attack. Pricing is in line with the market, averaging about $ 5 per wash and they do offer discounts if you purchase multiple washes and/​or high dollar gift cards.
