I love her, sweetest thing ever, so friendly. My daughter goes for the shaved ice! So good! I get coffees or teas! It’s just tough when there’s more than one car, she’s by herself in there and get busy

I’ve just moved here and was quite desperate for a latte. I didn’t think Elgin had any coffee places, but was glad to find this! Only tried two drinks so far(hot and cold) but both were surprisingly really good. I saw a for sale sign up for this place in the front, so I’m concerned I may not see the business in the future. I hope that’s not the case, and hope to keep coming back. I really recommend anyone passing through to give this place a try.

A great find! A few of us city slickers were in desperate need of a bonifide espresso, latte, and soy latte. We were thrilled to find the little shack on the side if the road with the goods! Friendly service, a locally owned spot, and delish coffee too!

I’ve passed by the Coffee Catz several times in Elgin, but have never stopped. Today, I missed my Starbuck’s fix, and was stuck in Elgin for work, so I stopped by. The woman working was very friendly. I believe she was the owner. I noticed the use of Sbux terms like vent on the menu board. Not too original. I ordered a venti white chocolate mocha latte and a blueberry muffin. The muffin was big and had been warmed up. Nice for this cold day. Lots of big blueberries. It could have been a little sweeter for my taste, but very good none the less. The latte was also good, though a little strong. I know Sbux uses 2 shots of espresso in their venti drinks. Perhaps the Catz uses 3. If not, they might want to calibrate their shots. You could taste the white chocolate throughout, which is a plus. I hate it when all of the syrup is in the last few sips. The price was great. I got out of there with only $ 5.40 on the bill. A bargain compared to the big chain. Starbucks has that«experience» that a drive-thru can’t compete with, but in Elgin, there is no Sbux to worry about. Nice for a quick drive-thru or walk up, especially on a cold day stuck in Elgin. I’ll return.
