Wolff’s Den Bar & Restaurant

This hole in the wall hidden bar is probably the best fish fry I’ve ever had. It’s always packed so get there early and enjoy a few old fashions while you wait! It’s a fun welcoming bar with a great atmosphere

We live less than a mile from this place. I used to eat here often, primarily for Friday fish fry. and it was pretty good, then something happened. I’ll condense the last 4 dining experiences here into one review.
You’ll get much better service from the place if you’re a regular or they know you.
the cost is extreme for what you get.
I’ve been told directly to my face that they were too busy to make a chocolate shake to go with my fish fry (there were 2 people waiting for take out ahead of me, so NOT busy) and chocolate shake is on the menu,
also on the menu are «brew fries» when we’ve ordered these they have no idea what we’re talking about,
the fish is deep fried and super oily (I expect from a fish fry, but not to this extreme.)
at times the fish tasted like the oil in the fryer hadn’t been changed or cleaned,
I’ve gotten home with my fish dinner only to find that my French fries are still frozen,
the total they gave me when I called my order in was wrong,
I’ve been short changed and treated poorly when I pointed it out.
it’s very obvious that they don’t want my business and I’m more than happy to comply
