Decent pizza that’s NY style but terribly inconsistent. I would recommend not buying a slice as they heat it in a small pizza oven and its turns the pizza into«pizza toast»(I understand some people like it this way but this is my review and I don’t) The wings are good, I’ve always had the grilled wings and have yet to be disappointed with those. The pizza is pretty good. This is what has always been inconsistent, a lot of the times the pizza will be great, and others it will be sub-par and make you question if you just wasted your money. They go very light on the cheese so for those that like pizza with normal cheesiness will have to dish out an extra $ 1.50 for«extra» cheese to make it normal. The calzones are fantastic and I do recommend those. They(unlike the pizza) are loaded with cheese but are massively greasy so eating them anywhere other than a table with something to mop up the grease with is out of the question.

Just moved to the area and trying to find the best pizza. They have great wings and very fresh salads. Customer service was excellent!

Mario’s is in a small strip mall just doors away from Mark’s Pizza on Rt 5 in Elbridge, NY. If you blink, sneeze, have even a momentary distraction or a senior moment while driving through Elbridge, you’ll miss the whole town. I visited Mario’s Pizza for a weekday lunch and intended to have my usual for a first time visit to a pizza place: 2 plain cheese slices and a soda(a diet soda, of course!). Upon entering, there is a small counter area where one may place an order and displayed some freshly prepared pizzas. I was greeted very nicely and asked what I wanted to order. I noticed a fresh and good looking plain cheese pie on display. It looked like it was just pulled from their oven and was quite appealing. I placed my order, paid up, received my soda and then went to grab a table. As I left the front counter area, I noticed the person who took my order was already pulling 2 slices from the pie on display and putting them right onto paper plates. I guess the pie was so fresh and hot that it didn’t need re-heating. After I sat down, my pizza arrived immediately without being re-heated. It was indeed fresh and warm but, not piping hot from the oven. Now for the taste, texture and quality test… Each slice was a nice size that was warm to moderately hot and had a firm crust that allowed me to pick up each slice and eat it correctly. That is, I could hold the slice in one hand, fold it NYC style, and it didn’t flop around like a limp wet rag. The slices had a thin crust with some crispness, although, it lacked flavor, character and chewiness. The cheese was average in quantity and flavor, not bad, but not stellar. The sauce was like the cheese: average. I can’t cite anything that would make this a great slice but, I also can’t find anything really bad about it. For this area, it rises above the nearby competition.(Mark’s Pizza) They have nice service, a clean eating area and fairly good pizza. I give them 3 stars based upon the options available in the area. Try it, it’s OK!
