I am going back to Jo Jos for the second time! My first experience in 2009 with Chris(who was an appreentice at the time) was the best! I provided my own design, Chris copied it and gave me a nice, solid, flawless DARKTHICK tattoo! I hate to see people with really light writing with no thickness to it. Here I got the quality I wanted at a reasonable price. It was not CHEAP and shouldnt be! I wasnt looking for CHEAP, I was looking for QUALITY and I got it! I sure hope Chris is still there because im ready for a new one! You wont be disapponiued here — they are very clean and everything is new. Good sign!

I can’t believe this place hasn’t been reviewed. This is a very good tattoo shop. They are experts at what they do, the prices are fair but on the high side. Of couse they are a bit high because they do such great work. The shop itself is very nice and clean. Walking in and getting a consultation was a very easy process and I wish to do it again. What else can I say about this place? It’s awesome. Cool fucking people!

Jo Jo is ridiculous good. I think he’s been in the business for several years and has survived completely on word of mouth. I heard about him through friends who also went to him, and I LOVE it. I wanted cherry blossoms, something that is commonly done, for my own personal reasons but I didn’t like any of the designs that were currently floating around on other websites. I showed him about 3 pictures that I liked, explained my wants, and after he was done drawing it up. my mouth dropped from amazement. My tattoo goes from by bra line to 3-inches below my hip; it took 2 hours. The most painful part was when the needle was hitting my ribs right under my boob; I wanted to hurl =x During the process, he would move from one section to another because he knew staying in one spot is just unbearable after a few minutes. He incorporated his artistic abilities with what I wanted and created something beautiful. I came in early March to get an opening at the end of April because that was the NEXT opening.(That alone should tell you he’s good). Upon making the appointment, you must fork up a $ 100 cash deposit to hold your reservation that will go toward your tattoo. You have to cancel at least 24 – 48 hours prior to your appointment or else say goodbye to that $ 100 deposit. Jo Jo charges $ 140/hour. If you can’t afford him or want a tattoo asap, I believe his apprentice Chris charges $ 100/hour. Remember, this is a cash only location.(Please keep in mind all this information is coming from the beginning of the year. Things may have changed.) Basically, if you’re going to do something that is going to be permanently inked on your body. go to someone that knows what they’re doing.
