You can’t beat these scrum delicious chicken tacos! If we are within a 30mile radius of Cheo’s we make our way to this amazing food truck! I’m pretty sure my husband makes up excuses of why we need to go to LA just so we can grab our favorite chicken tacos!

Good tacos, but as mentioned before, they are sometimes not at their location during their posted hours. This is not in the morning or night, but even in the middle of the day.

I know I can’t be the only one who thinks the girl taking the orders is a rude BIATCH. I’ve been coming here for YEARS. And at first I thought it was an isolated incident but then my mother witnessed her attitude. I even tried to tip her a few dollars to see if that helped. NOPE. Still horrible. EVERYSINGLETIME. I really don’t get what her issue is. The best part is that she looks and talks to you like you’re beneath her lol. Let me break it down for you sweetheart. You work in a taco truck. Get over yourself. I hope your poorly done lash extensions don’t fall off into the food. Whew. Now that I let years of my frustration out onto the food. The tacos are good better than most. They do however take forever to come out. They have two cooks chopping away yet there is always a large crowd of people standing around waiting for their food. Perhaps Ms. Attitude can actually work or something instead of glaring at me. They are also stingy with the plastic bags for the limes and stuff as well as salsas to go. Like when asked for additional items I’m given attitude. Shocker at this point I know. As I’m typing this I really don’t understand why I keep giving them my money when there is literally another taco truck a few steps down. With a friendly person who appreciates my business I’m sure!

Fourth time in a row that they weren’t here during their posted hours for this location. I love those tacos and burritos, but useless to me if they cannot be counted on to show up.

Honestly, best tacos around Alhambra. Always packed, which is a good sign, I guess? Only thing I hate is the parking situation, but I always park on the red — we all know the ticket guys don’t pass by here at night lol Anyway, burritos are ehh because they don’t come with rice. Just stick with the tacos and you’ll be hooked!

Bomb. Tripas are crunchy. Carne Asada fresh, tasty and juicy. Tortas pretty big. Great spot for late night taco grinding. Homemade horchata is on point too.

This taco truck doesn’t compare to any other. There are tacos that sell for 1.45 to 1.50 nowadays. You can’t and will not find any cheaper. Well it’s only like 2 miles away from me so it can’t get any better than that!

Best tacos ever!!! Only $ 1. Horchata is good too. I thought 5 tacos would be enough but i had to order 3 more! All the toppings are really good. Try the cucumbers. If im in the area i would definitely come back.

I live down the street from this taco stand and love it! My boyfriend is a local so I though I would give it a try. I love the grill onions with my tacos.

I’ve been going to Cheo’s for well over 15 years as I grew up in El Sereno and I just had tacos last week and I live in Westminster! I’d prefer Cheo’s Tacos over King Taco any day, hands down! I remember when they were at Santa Julia Liquor on Warwick down the street from where they are now. They only had a small taco cart back then but the quality was still as good as they are now!

Very good! The tacos are tiny, but the quality is great! Every bite is full of flavor and the meat is very tender and not dry at all. Will definitely come back.

Bombdotcom One of the best taco truck hands down. Try the carne asada burrito or the carne asada tacos. Wish they still close late night like before.

Cabeza, Lengua, Carne Asada tacos are my picks. Only set back is that I tried their tripe and there was a bad aftertaste. Never getting tripe again. Their burritos are also bomb! Super greasy — just the way it’s supposed to be. The more grease on the meat, the tastier it is! Pricing is amazing, the people are nice. I like where you can get your pickles and salsa too. Can’t go wrong with any of their salsas — red, green, guacamole salsas are all excellent. Seating is limited and you share the common area, but most people take their tacos to go. Parking is very easy on the lot itself and on the neighborhood.

I’ve been living in the El Sereno area for almost 8 months now and this was the first Taco truck i tried. I heard from people that live in my neighborhood that this is indeed probably the best taco truck in the hood. When i visit cheo’s i always visit after 7 because thats when the truck will most likely be there. I order al pastor tacos and carne asada burritos. They have sauces, lime, and chopped onion and cilantro on a table posted outside of the truck for your taking. Sometimes the lady offeres you grilled peppers and onions(if you tip). The food here is outstanding and its made quick. i think what makes the food here stand out is the green sauce i love it for some reason. I also love the fact that it’s less then a mile from my apartment too. So convenient for those late night taco runs.

I should have known that after our Taco Crawl that I would stop by every damn stand or truck I see. First off, $ 1 for this taco is too expensive. Tortillas in my opinion, should be like bras… the bigger… the more meat they can hold. True, bigger doesn’t necessarily mean better, but these are only a «A» or maybe a «B» cup. When I got to the market, I can never find these«Taco Truck» sized tortillas. The ones I get are usually a «C» cup and can hold a good amount of meat(carne asada, chicken, al pastor, etc). Im totally a Sir-Mix-A-Lot man but I really love looking at Tortillas! 2nd…the meat was not seasoned properly. Always, taste a taco without the condiments to get the meat flavor. Most of these lazy taco truck and stand proprietors just grab the meat out of the bag and throw it on the grill. Carne Asada is like seducing a woman… you got to spend the cash for the right cut of meat, season her with salt, pepper, lemons, oranges, jalapeño, and other exotic spices from far away lands. U gots to tell her how bad you«want» her, how you long for it, how special she is, and for the real players… you let her marinate overnight. Play it cool… don’t you go off! So when you get your fire ready and popping, you will be able to taste her juice before she cums off the grill. In my opinion, if the taco isn’t great without the toppings, then it is just pan fried meat in the tiny tortilla. Also, please refrain from calling every beef taco carne asada. If there is no open flame… its not asada! 3rd…super quick service and I liked that they added the chilli and toppings to my to go order in a bag. Didn’t like the tiny ass lime cut in half. Too small to have juice. so what’s the point. Sweet service… if only you didn’t have ass everything else. In closing, I refer to my first law of Unilocaling… I can do this Bigger… Stronger and Faster… just like the 6 Million Dollar Man! so Cheo’s Tacos won’t be on my return visit list. If you need pointers on prepping that meat… fire me an email… after all… I am bionic! Keep on Unilocaling.

My FAVORITE taco truck in El Sereno! Carne Asada tacos w/all the fixings. they have a few different types of salsas out on the table for you to choose from. One Guacamole salsa that is great. Along w/a tub of onions and cucumbers marinated in lemon and chili. they are addicting! I must eat a few whole onions by the time I’m done eating. Carne asada burrito is also great, i eat ½ and save ½ for the next day. omg the flavors mix and it is out of this world! It is always hit or miss with the long line. grab a spot at the outdoor fold out table and dig in!

Now«hole in the wall» Mexican food is in my top 3 favorite foods of all time. I have definitely had a great share of Mexican food and love experiencing as many taco trucks as possible wherever they may be. Food here is delicious and cheap. I sometimes find myself overstuffing myself because it’s so good and in the perfect-sized portions. You just can’t beat $ 1 tacos and $ 3 burritos. Feeding the family of 5 for about $ 20 is absolutely unbeatable. Now there’s plenty of taco trucks in the El Sereno/Los Angeles area but this is the best tasting simply because they know how to marinate and cook all of their different meats. Not too greasy and not too dry. As far as service goes, it’s variable. When they are there, the service has always been top notch due to their quick preparation of your order. However, the one downside is that they rarely show up on time. They generally open about half an hour to an hour later than they state so don’t rush over there just quite yet. Also, they aren’t open 7 days a week! So your taco cravings better fall sometime on Thursdays-Sundays! Overall, top notch and one of my favorite eats in the LA area. 10 stars!
