This place was much better as the Melting Pot, which had fresh, good tasting food. After the owner changed, the quality has dramatically dropped to the point where they under cooked their food. Would not go back.

This place is not as clean as we’d like it to be, and the guys working here seem unsanitary not using gloves and all. We got indian food from here.(This is the new spot for Indian Summer since the other location closed down). The food was okay. I did see them drop an onion, wash it and put it back into the pan to cook. I don’t think I would come back here.

This place was confusing at first, but after reading the review for Indian Summer, I totally understand it now, I think. It seems that the Melting Pot Rotisserie is changing over to Indian Summer. The menu for Indian Summer is all over the place, and the overhead visual menu(for Melting Pot Rotisserie) is mostly crossed out. So, I was in the neighborhood, because I see patients in different cities. I just finished work at Santa Monica and was going to see a patient in El Segundo. I drove down Vista Del Mar, turned on Imperial Highway and then made a right turn on Main St. immediately I passed by a plaza with a sign for Hawaiian food, so I did a u-turn and went back to see what it was. It was L&L! Gross! There was also Subway, but I didn’t want either. Subway was the lesser of two evils and I was going to go there… but I realized there was a 3rd restaurant sandwiched between these two places. Very obscure! Or I just wasn’t very observant… It looked rundown or they were making changes. I thought I’d give it a try any ways. I went with the beef pita wrap and the owner/chef cooked it within view. It took several minutes, but I didn’t mind waiting for good food. I’m glad I came here because, OMG, the pita came out smelling and tasting sooo good! A little spicy, but sooooo good! And it costed $ 6.50 tax included! Are you kidding me? I felt like I ripped the guy off! Go to this place before he realizes he is under charging you and increases the price! I could tell that the chef/owner was getting used to the new place because he kept looking for things as if he was not familiar with the set up yet. Don’t let that deter you. If you like beef and mild spiciness in your food, you will not be disappointed with the beef pita! This is a takeout place. There’s only one table and one chair!

This used to be my go to spot for lunch, loved their wraps and rotisserie chicken plates. They recently changed the restaurant to a take out indian spot when a local indian restaurant closed down. I guess he must’ve been friends with the owner because they moved in hence the change. The take out indian portions are tiny for the price and honestly there are indian buffets in the area that can be had for $ 10 – 15.

The staff in this place are complety rude. Since they change the chef, that place change completely. They no longer have available the old menu and the food does not taste as before. My husband ordered a Pita Bread that came with the dish before, but the waitress replied that is very expensive therefore no longer be included in the dish. She was very rude and discourteous. THATISNOT A GOODANSWER, if he wanted the Pita Bread, they have to give it for an additional cost. On the other hand, the food definitely does not taste good, they should rename the restaurant for Indian food because they no longer prepared Italian and Mediterranean food, and they should teach good manners to their staff. Too bad I can not give them zero starts.

Service was ok. Not really stoked on our order. Think we might have picked the wrong items. Will have to try it again.

BOMBCHICKEN! For $ 8 you get a huge portion of ½ chicken and ok sides. This place is not Mediterranean as I thought, but actually Indian. It doesn’t change the fact that the chicken is the go to for me. The only reason I gave it four stars was because it is not a sit down joint and the parking was tough.

Damn this place is good… for under $ 10 you get a massive portion of delicious spiced and curried meats and veggies with rice and fresh, substantive naan bread. Hidden gem in El Segundo.

Excellent service, friendly staff with superb food. Definitely five star quality preparation with the kitchen in plain view. Aromatic spices were absolutely perfect. Don’t let the strip center fool you, this place is a define must!

Great little hole in the wall. Good value, good food. Not mind-blowing but one of the better lunches I’ve had in El Segundo.

This is a take-out kind of place, sandwiched between a Hawaiian BBQ place and a Subway, but I promise you neither is as good as the Melting Pot. I walked in and you could tell the two employees were likely family and owned the place. They were very friendly and I let one of them pick my dishes and explained, hey I am Unilocal Elite I eat just about anything as long at is good and based upon your reviews everything is good. He then told me he was very proud of his Unilocal status as having a solid 4.5 stars is not an easy thing to maintain. I had the ½ chicken plate with rice and chicken salad as my side dish along with some of the best pita bread and garlic butter I have ever had. Just overall fantastic flavors in every bite, priced at around $ 8, everything made in house except for the potato and macaroni salads. Once again this isn’t a sit down and eat place but pick what you want and be out the door in about 10 min. I am glad that they didn’t disappoint and will continue to maintain their excellent rating.

Great sauces(they gave me garlic butter and hummus, and chipotle salsa on the side, and a cilantro sauce came on the meat)…ordered the half rotisserie chicken with pita, shrimp salad, and paneer cheese brochette with sides of garbanzo bean salad and rice. It was all delicious… hubby and I especially loved the grilled paneer… the cilantro type sauce/rub on it was great. Shrimp were big and juicy and seasoned perfectly, salad leaves were fresh. Small«hole-in-the-wall» place with not much for dining-in space. but we will definitely be going back for take-out.

I’ve had this place bookmarked for over a year. Today I finally tried it. When I first arrived at the peak of Tuesday lunch hour I saw the parking lot half empty. Hmmm. Not a good sign. I looked inside the restaurant. Empty. Another bad sign. Well, since I was already there so I decided to order. The chef was very friendly and welcoming. He hustled to get my order ready. The other man in a bright blue shirt was aloof and indifferent and just stood around looking bored and annoyed. As I waited for my food, I noticed the ‘C’ letter grade in the window. A very bad sign! I immediately tossed my fountain drink in the trash, knowing that soda machines are often not maintained well. I debated on whether or not to cancel my order but decided against it. I figured the letter grade was bad enough for business. If they really want to stay open, they will not be in the habit of giving their customers food poisoning. Within a few minutes my food was ready and the grumpy man in blue did me the ‘favor’ of ringing up my order and handed me my change without a word of thanks. The chef, however, did thank me. Like night and day, the two of them. Anyway, here are the food details: I ordered the half chicken plate(with the magical green sauce) along with pasta and steamed veggies. It came with pita bread, hummus, garlic sauce, and salsa. Chicken: Well cooked and super flavorful. That green sauce takes it to a whole other level. My taste buds danced with joy! Pasta: Cooked al dente. Seasoned well. Good flavor. Steamed veggies. Plain but perfectly steamed. Pita: Warm, fluffy, and fresh. Hummus: Unbalanced, too garlicky and sour. Texture was not smooth and creamy. Tastes like they use canned chickpeas. I would skip this next time. Garlic sauce: Buttery tasting. Very good. Roasted tomato salsa: Pretty good, but I’m not sure why they included salsa. The Mexican flavors of the salsa did not really go with the rest of this Mediterranean style food. Also, a wayward roasted potato made its way into my meal. It was very good. I would order those as a side next time. Overall, the food was very flavorful. There was tons of garlic in just about everything so if you have a sensitive palate this is probably not a good choice for you. However, if you love big, bold flavors you will love the food here! I’m happy to report that despite the bad letter grade, I really enjoyed my food and did not any digestive issues. Hopefully they have learned from whatever happened to give this place a ‘C’ letter grade. I would like to return and try some other dishes.

Tried this place today and would have to say its sub par. I ordered the ½ a chicken plate and as I’m waiting I notice the C rating in the window my mind goes oh s#!t. But it has a 4 star rating so I went for it. Went to get my drink at the fountain fill my cup with coke then decide I should taste yuck terrible like the syrup is way down so try the DP same deal moved onto the RB which is ok. But back to the food it was just ok may update this tomorrow tho. I would not go back.

Thank you, God, for Melting Pot Rotisserie! My neighbor, son and I went searching about the area for a sit down restaurant and stumbled into this place. We checked this place out our first time and found the food to be ABSOLUTELYAMAZING! Due to the small space and lack of fancy advertising we were first hesitant on giving this place a try up until we stroke up a conversation with a loyal customer in line who assured us it was the best place in the area. Our order for three adults consisted of one large special order of chicken curry, rice and veggies, one small order of chicken curry, a whole garlic/onion chicken, a side of roasted potatoes, a side of steamed vegetables, one large drink and one small drink all for only $ 25.00, They even threw in some pita bread, two sides of hummus, salsa and what tasted like a garlic butter sauce. I have to be honest, up until now, I have never found myself devouring my food that quickly as it was so flavorful and delicious, I just scarfed as much down that my stomach could manage and was even tempted to dive in for seconds after I finished a full meal and a third. While we waited for our food, we got an inside scoop on behind the scenes and spoke with the chef and the owner of this place, They shared with us that they work 13 hours a day, 7 days a week to run this restaurant. Even while they put in so much time and energy, they wake up each morning looking forward to the smile and appreciation on their customer’s faces more than anything when they walk through their front door. After tasting their food, I can most certainly testify to having an ear to ear smile even with my mouth full of food. They sure to do have my appreciation and satisfaction as I will be walking back through that door to order some more of that Garlic Chicken. Mmmmm! Mmmmm! Mmmmmm! As I write this, my urges keep directing me to the fridge since there are still some leftovers sitting there waiting for me to munch on. Oooh! I am so very tempted… must fight the urge… Boy, I am so looking forward to tomorrow’s lunch made by MELTINGPOTROTISSERIE! ;P

+ flavorful, simple, quick and cheap eats. The chef is truly passionate about his food, his job and it shows! My regular order is the whole rotisserie chicken that comes with pita, garlic spread, hummus and salsa for $ 10 or $ 11. It feeds me and my husband for two meals. As it takes an hour to roast a chicken, they pre-roast several at a time. When I order it up, they quarter the chicken, slather it with that delicious cilantro spread and put it under the roaster for a quick heat. Meanwhile they quarter the pita and throw it on the flat-top for a nice toast. I’m not too huge a bread fan but this is warm, soft, slightly toasty and heavenly dipped in that garlicky hummus or the garlic spread. Yeah #Yelpreviewdudes, the hummus is a little grainy — if you’ve made it yourself in a food processor, that’s how you know it’s homemade. Maybe more fatty tahini would smooth it out but I really like it, thick, the way it is. The salsa is a nice touch too; it’s not spicy but it’s got a roasted tomato flavor that brightens the meal and adds even more complex flavors. It’s great for weekday takeout after work, though you may want to call ahead to make sure they have enough chickens roasted if you’re coming at the end of the day. If you’ve got nowhere to go #Jim, I suggest you take your order across the street to Clutter’s Park, grab a bench and watch the airplanes take off. This place is a keeper! I’ve ordered several of these for parties before, and everyone is impressed and asks where it’s from. I love supporting local businesses and spreading the word.

OK… 2 stars for now… only because I did not try the rotisserie chicken. I had a chicken wrap combo. It was quite the value and tasted ok, but I have had better. I will be back to try the rotisserie and update the review =)

I must have went on an off day compared to all the reviews… But alas, here is my $.02. PROS: Quick service Value CONS: Parking Taste Not fresh Okay, so taste is big to me. Maybe it’s me, but there was not a Rotisserie machine in sight. My food came precooked and was warmed in an oven. I had the kebab combo with beef and chicken. I have no idea what kind of sauce he put on my beef, he just lathered it on there. The chicken was a little pink inside(considered it was twice cooked). And though I like yellow Indian curry, I didn’t think it was okay to put it on my food without asking me. It wasn’t what was pictured on the menu at all. He said it was the special, whatever that meant. I’m pretty sure I asked for the regular plate. Ditch the sauce and you’d be okay. My sides were macaroni salad and garden salad. The macaroni was run of the mill store bought mac. Actually to say that does injustice to Albertson’s macaroni salad which I rather enjoy. It was watery and had a sour taste I could not place. The only fresh thing was my garden salad. This was my first time going here, and also my last.
