Stopped in for a pastrami sandwich, it’s one of the best pastrami’s I’ve ever eaten!

I drove by and saw a good amount of cars outside, which is a good sign. But when I kept driving, made a u-turn and came back to find twice as many cars… I figured I better get in on this action before I miss my chance(parking in the rear allowed me). When I try a new place I like to go to the restroom first, before I even sit down. Not to check out the cleanliness(although I do check that out while I’m fixing my hair lol), but more so to get a feel of the joint. Well today this place was packed, which is always a great sign, but the energy was good. Every table was filled with happy people, enjoying themselves and their meals. I noticed a lot of interaction between guests and the staff, which tells me people become regulars here and maybe even friends. I’m looking for a new neighborhood, so this was something I’ll remember :) I have nothing but great things to say about this place. As a veteran server of 20+ years, I appreciate quality service. The feel here is warm, the sense of urgency is just right, and I felt more than welcome to stay as long as I chose. I had corned beef hash and eggs, a risky move on my part because it’s rarely done right, but for this alone I will return. I like my hash crispy(I’ll even ask for it burnt if I have too haha!), and I forgot to request my preference when I ordered but I was pleasantly surprised that it was cooked to a perfect crisp! The coffee was delish, and I was even offered a cup to go. Main St Café, you’re doing it right. Thanks for a great meal!

Absolutely love this place! Food is amazing here and very friendly staff. Just one little suggestion is to make your coffee a little better, right now it’s so so. But overall this place is great!

Great place to grab a bite, I was on the area and decided to give it a shot… Not disappointed at all, even my kids loved their meals, chilaquiles and benedict eggs were awesome. Definitely will come back.

Breakfast spots like this one can be either hit or miss. Main St. Café is a definite hit! It has the feel of a neighborhood diner and is staffed by friendly and attentive servers. Breakfast is served all day and my order was out of the kitchen in less than 5 minutes. The food was perfectly fresh and larger portions than I expected. For $ 13 I got a Santa Fe omlette with home cooked potatoes, a side English muffin, and coffee. I was completely full by the last bite and very impressed with the quality and freshness of the food. Neighborhood diners that satisfy to this level are a rare fine and I’ll definitely be back again!

Definitely worth the five minute drive from the airport hotels. Very homey, casual, nice basic spot, popular with the locals and families, no stress, very responsive servers. Popular weekend mornings; I’m here on a Sunday 10AM and it is just about full tables we are in there. Indoor and outdoor seating. It’s your basic diner type food, very reasonable priced.

Main Street Café would’ve been a solid 5 stars for me if it wasn’t for the nasty flies that were erking the hell out of me. Initially it was a party of 2 but those flies joined us during our whole stay becoming a party of 5. Also their home potatoes looked very savory at first but were extremely under seasoned. I ordered the green sauce chilaquiles because im a sucker for chilaquiles(truth be told)! 5 stars, great sauce, crispy tortilla chips. Side of home potatoes 3 stars Tomato & basil soup 5 stars it was very flavorful. No complaints. The End.

Had break fast today morning. We were in downtown El Segundo and looking for a place to eat. I saw good crowd in the restaurant and assumed the food should be good, I was wrong. We waited half hour after ordering French Toast and Chilaquiles and after repeated enquiries with our server we finally got the fodd on our table after forty minutes. The Chilaquiles was bad. It was soggy, luke warm and tasteless. Basically they tossed eggs and tortilla chips in a pan and poured some store green taco sauce over it with some slivers of red onion. The french toast, well! it was french toast. There was a constant problem of flies in the table and looking at other reviews this seems to be a problem for others too, makes you wonder about the hygiene of the place.

This is a really cute café that is in a lot wit a bunch of shops. It has a very intimate vibe and there is a lot of cute décor along the walls. They have really big omelettes and portions are not for the faint hearted. If you are looking for something healthy, it is going to cost you a little more. For some of the plates, it will cost you $ 3 to substitute fresh fruits for their potatoes(which are really good). So, maybe consider this your cheat day!

I’ve been in here so many times that I thought I had written a review. I come in here 2 – 3 times a month with my uncle for breakfast. I’ve tried a few menu items and they were all good but now I have settled on my favorite dish and that is the breakfast quesadilla. It has all the breakfast goodies wrapped up in a crispy tortilla served with guacamole and salsa on the side. My uncle sticks to the waffles, which he loves. The service is always good and this place is busy on the weekends. But we’ve never had to wait too long for seating. I love coming here and I can’t imagine that we would choose to go anywhere else.

Went for breakfast this morning(weekday) with my mom who had been there before. This was my first time. It was not dead but there were plenty of tables. I have a service pet who was welcome on the patio no problem. Gloria was our server. You could tell she knew what she was doing and was very friendly and accommodating. She even brought my dog water without me having to ask. Very efficient service! After reading other Unilocal reviews prior to going I decided to go with the tomato basil and egg white omelet. I asked for very light oil and Gloria made sure they only used the Pam spray. I asked for steamed broccoli instead of hash browns and it was not a problem whatsoever. My mom also had several substitutions that they were more than happy to do. Our coffee was always refilled without asking by more than just our server. Our food came or hot and my omelet was delicious! Healthy and very flavorful. I usually put hot sauce on everything and forgot to on this until the end because it didn’t really need anything. good garlic flavor. The wheat toast was actually whole grain and seed bread and was very tasty. Update: went again and had chillequies(spelling?) but healthified with egg whites light oil and no cheese. AMAZING! Had Gloria again… best server We’ve ever had!

A very standard very average café. Ordered the sunrise samdwich which was pretty good. although it isnt something that you wouldnt be able to get elsewhere. You get your choice of a side. the hashbrowns are good. The eggs benedict on the other hand. stay away. It comes with three eggs and your choice of ham turkey or chicken. But this café shouldnt call it eggs benedict. It should be named English Muffin with hard boiled egg on top. The«poached» eggs were fully cooked to the point where we had a solid yolk. would definitely opt out of that if eating here again. Would not travel far distances to come back.

The food is SOOO good there. I live in GA, but I HAVE to stop by there EVERY time I go to LA. EVERYthing is served fresh. Order a fruit bowl and you’ll get a variety of fresh fruit(not just cantaloupe and honeydew). You have GOT to try the French toast. The only thing going I wouldn’t recommend is an omelet… but then again, I’m not much of an omelet person anyways. Lol Bottom line: You can’t go wrong with this place.

The location is easy to find but it might be a little tricky finding the correct entrance when going for the first time. Breakfast fasure lived up to the hype. This is one of the most talked about breakfast spots in El Segundo(there’s not that many to choose from in the area). There’s indoor/outdoor seating plus a couple of TVs. Very family oriented establishment that’s quiet on most, if not all, days. On weekends expect a full house. Once you’re done eating I advise walking up and down Main St. to explore the local businesses and shops in town.

A great little spot for delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It’s not your typical cheap diner with cheap food… it’s a little bit more pricey but not 26 Beach in Venice pricey. The food is good. They give pretty big portions. And even their regular coffee is organic. Their cups of water are gigantic. The avocado wrap my friend got looked delicious. I would come back. Parking: Parking in front of the café, parking behind the café, and street parking.

Breakfast is the husbands favorite meal of the day. He likes his breakfast the traditional way, no frills. Eggs scrambled or fried. Potatoes extra crispy and dont even dare think about adding onions, Tabasco sauce, etc. Bacon crispy. Main Street Café offers a solid breakfast that gets his stamp of approval. They have traditional diner food without the grease. Husband orders a griddle(pancakes or french toast), egg, bacon combo plate and I get some variation of a veggie scramble, wheat toast, potatoes, that always end up on his plate. Overall, if you’re looking a quick and traditional breakfast place this is great place to visit.

I still like this place, but I used to love it. It used to one of my favorite places and I would eat here multiple times a week. The service is still really great but the food is not what it used to be. A few years ago a new owner took over. Since then the qualify of the food has declined gradually. A few small examples. The huevos rancheros used to be my favorite dish. Not anymore. Authentic huevos rancheros has refried beans, not flavorless pinto beans swimming in water. I asked several times about why they weren’t using refried beans and was told that the owner didn’t want to deal with them. What? Really? Another example is the omelets. The omelets used to be made with the ingredients folded in, which is the way it should be. Now they’re just a pile of stuff with a thin layer of egg covering it… not an omelette in my book. So now I just order scrambles. Finally they seem to cycle through the same 2 or 3 soups week after week, which wasn’t the case before. I know I’m being picky and they’re just small things. But the small things add up. It seems like the owner has been cutting corners. I still like the place and love the service, but hoping it will return to it’s previous greatness.

Looking for THE Saturday morning breakfast place has become a fun family activity for us. So we all ranked it an 8.5 or 9 kind of place. The tables were a good size. Often times these kind of places have cute little tables. We prefer the practical size over the cute ones . Parking was easy! Prices are comparable to other breakfast places. The coffee was nice, and refills came without us having to ask. The Mugs are heavy(keep the heat) and good size. The server was friendly and got it all right. My daughter joined us late, however the server inmediayely noticed and came right away to get her drink order. This place is kid friendly. The have special placemat with word puzzles for kids and provide a nice little cute bucket of crayons with more than the«three» standard crayon supply you get at other places. They have a kids menu with appealing nice choices. My granddaughter got the combo with scramble eggs, French toast and finger sausages. We ordered the chilaquiles — they were perfect! We appreciated the authenticity of them. The portion was not too big and not too small. My daughter had the Main St Café Omelket: egg whites, veggies, side of fruit and wheat toast. It was fresh and tasty. I had the French toast topped with bananas and strawberries and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. It was just right. I’ll be back.

3 or 4 stars … maybe 4 … ok, 4 … yeah, 4. Yep, 4 stars. Main Street Café(on Main Street of course) in El Segundo is a small 4-star neighborhood café providing a local vibe with a menu of diner classics and California quirks. Olivia Z. and me split two recommendations gleaned from Unilocal explorers who had gone before us. Thank you … ya, I mean you. * Sunrise Sandwich($ 9.95) Any Croissantwich has a head start over any normal sandwich just by being in a fresh and flaky croissant … and that is true of the Sunrise Sandwich with Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Avocado, Lettuce, and Tomato stuffed inside a Croissant. So simple really … and so yummy with a side of Home Potatoes, Hash Browns(my choice … average), or Fresh Fruit.(4 stars) * Avocado Wrap with Tuna Salad($ 10.95) The Avocado Wrap comes with your choice of meat: Turkey, Chicken, or Tuna. We opted for Tuna. The wrap was a hearty Wheat Tortilla around equal parts Avocado and Tuna plus Lettuce, Spinach, Tomato, Red Onions, Mayo, and Mustard. It may not be original, but read that list again and tell me that’s not an easy wrap to love. Don’t over think this … it’s just brunch.(4 stars) I liked the food and the café vibe is very relaxed. With it’s own small parking lot and patio along Pine Avenue, Main Street Café main not be fancy, but it is a comfortable choice for a low-key late 4-star breakfast or brunch El Segundo.

Unilocal the closest breakfast spot and landed in this place. Kinda secluded. Almost past it. I don’t know what to say about this place! The server was super sweet, came here on a Monday morning and it was almost full house and she had to tend to everyone. She did it very quickly and was very kind doing so. Anyways, had to wait for a good bit cause we had a few parties ahead of us. But it wasn’t that bad of wait. Seems like a good place so why only three stars? The price for the egg Benedict was around 13 bucks. Wow, but what do I expect it’s LA. But 13 bucks for over cooked eggs Benedict? Not cool. It was like eating boiled eggs. But getting charged 13 bucks for it! Lol I could have made that at home. Sigh. Food was a disappointment. The potatoes were undercook, so it was a little raw. So sad.
