Donuts were delicious but for some strange reason it smelled like fish. I had a hard time communicating with the lady who was helping me since she didn’t speak English. However, I would return for those delicious donuts! I’m looking forward to trying the cake as well.

Delicious burritos and scrumptious Mexican baked items is what you want? Then try this place because it delivers! Their coconut and watermelon cookies are not to be missed! Their staff only knows minimal english so be prepared to speak spanish or prepare your order ahead of time(using a english-spanish translator on your phone)

So far the best Mexican food in town. I suggest getting the glazed donuts, sweet bread or the green/red chile tamales! So scrumptious and super cheap!

This place blows now, we asked for ½ a pot of menudo, the guys brings it back a most full. We get home and find that the hominy isn’t even cooked, on top of that their francesitos are not the same as before, used to be crunchy and crusty a soft inside, and the customer service sucks.

The bread is amazing, conchas for dipping in milk and my beloved favorite pineapple empanada. They’re all amazing and delicious, and the burritos are worth every single calorie, I usually end up getting the Chile relleno but all the other ones I’ve had are just as good. The only downside is the menudo, people make it seem like its the best thing in the world, it doesn’t even stack up go my top 10, people need to go explore out there if they think this is the best. I’ve even had better at a hole in the wall restaurant downtown. Other than that its a pretty good overall place.

Came here with a hangover on a Sunday morning to get menudo. Got my hubs a torta and sweet bread. Our hangovers were deliciously cured. The staff was nice and attentive. Will be back!

This place is too damn ghetto honestly. Everything’s dry as shit and I don’t know where the fuck the line starts.

It’s a bakery that makes their own pan dulce(Mexican pastries) and burritos, tortas, menudo, and barbocoa! FYI, the staff seems to ONLYSPEAKSPANISH. Hence, before you get here, you better brush your Spanish up! Hahaha, well, I didn’t, but the staff can still def get what you’re saying/point to what you want and how much you want. I honestly didn’t ask them what each of the items on their burrito menu were in English and just looked them up myself on my phone. But yeah, feel free to check out my picture of the burrito/torta menu of what items/meats they offer and see what they are ahead of time if you’re not as savvy with Spanish as I apparently am! :) I came here twice to try different things. The first time was to try their donuts, since I was craving some really good donuts, and Mexican bakeries tend to make them pretty good. I wasn’t too adventurous, so I only got a churro and a basic chocolate donut with a bavarian crème filling in the middle. My churro was not so good, of which it was very dry. Although, my chocolate donut came out pretty darn delicious – soft, slightly moist, and with a nice surprise in the middle :). Interestingly, they have a bunch of different Mexican pan dulce. What I did not order but am curious to try next time is their pumpkin empanada. Interesting, eh? Yup. On my to-eat list! The second time I came here was for their burritos. Read rave reviews about them here on Unilocal,so I decided to try it. They are actually quite small and skinny, but surprisingly only came with your meat of choice, in my case, was brisket. There was nothing else in the burrito except the meat and a minuscule amount of diced green bell pepper. Don’t expect their burritos to be fully loaded(guac, lettuce, tomatoes, etc) from here. It’s pretty much Mexican style, with just two things inside: meat of your choice, and bell peppers maybe. They also give you this pretty spicy, but delicious, salsa to go with it. My burrito experience was OK, since I am used to the Mexican-American version. I LOVE that they make their own tortillas and make them FRESH for your burrito. Anyway, burritos are hella cheap… around $ 2.33-$ 3.25. NEXTTIME: Def want to try their torta with colita de pavo(crispy turkey tail). This comes fully loaded! $ 4.50 each. Can’t wait!

Since I’m not a huge fan of Mexican pan dulce(and by the way I’m not knocking the ethnicity since I’m Mexican myself) I’m writing this review on their burritos and donuts. Their breakfast burritos are delicious but their donuts are even better. Really big, plump donuts are offered here. The only reason I gave this bakery 3 stars and not 4 is because the price per dozen donuts is more than at other places. Other than that, they’re great. I haven’t really tried anything else from this bakery(tortas, Menudo, tortillas, etc) so I can’t really comment on if they’re any good.

I’ve been coming here for years. The menudo is great. They also make super awesome burritos with homemade tortillas so good and fluffy, you’ll want to eat it it outta the bag on the way home. My one big complaint with this place is they hate that I don’t speak Spanish. The last time I tried to explain I wanted 5 scoops of menudo in my pot, but to hold as much of the meat as possible. They responded by giving me 4 scoops of just the liquid and a half spoon of pozole, and then charging me 20 bucks for it. They also do not have whole wheat bolillos/francesitos which I find kinda weird. Even the Wal-Mart bakery has wheat. Their pastries are super good though, and they have a nice convenient stock of stuff like milk, soda, juice, so it’s a good little one-stop shop on those late morning, still-in-pajamas-Sundays when you want to show up to a quick in-and-out place and grab everything for breakfast at home.
