Toro Burger Bar

A very good selection of burgers and beers, my Buffalo Chicken burger was good. service was not good, a rude guy who got even less friendly when I acted surprised that a $ 9 burger DID NOT include fries. waiter was bad, even the other waitresses covered for him. A small order of fries too. You can get the same burger at Applebee’s for the same price, except you get a pile of good fries with it. Overpriced, I will not be back

It a bar setting so don’t bring the kids. But take them a burger or Mac n cheesy! I’m going to try to eat better but I keep coming in contact with delicious food here on Unilocal!This place was a little bearish for me but man I’m glad I stayed. The staff were like over nice and helpful. When she found out we were from Albuquerque she turned up the heat the burgers are not to be missed have the fried avocado fries. And any burger and enjoy enjoy enjoy.

Burger was great, shake, on point, ant Parmesan white truffle fries, could not be better. friendly staff and priced just right. Best cheat meal I’ve had in El Paso yet.

Lots of beer that I can’t find in the north east. The burger was great. The fries were a little salty but still good. The waitresses/​bartenders are super nice. I give ⁴⁄₅ stars because I asked them to lower the music so we could watch the NFC/​AFC games. After about an hour they started playing the music again and we couldn’t hear the game as well…

Well me and my husband and a friend went here on thrusday night and it was pretty empty, we sat at the bar because I wanted to order to go, the lady who took our order was nice. But there was this guy sitting next to my husband that kept looking at us while we were talking, he seem to be like 17 years old and drinking not only did he look at us 5 times but then he would whisper in the waitress ear or giggle as if he had something smart to say. Anywho it took about 20 mins for our food to come out and 20 mins of girls laughing behind the bar and taking pictures but when our food arrived we paid and left as soon as we could.
But our friend stayed behind to write a nasty note for the waiters. She didn’t like the fact that the guy looked 17 or the fact that the girls were doing nothing but giggling and on there phones and acting very unprofessional and so on so on but that’s her opinion.
Overall the food was really good coming from michigan were i could go to any coney island and get a good burger, this was the closet thing to that. would I ever sit and eat here? NO. but I will get it to go :)
And they have military discount yayy lol

Toro is almost top notch, just mix the music better. The place seems small but fits people well. Adequate seating, long bar, good selection of drinks, and the menu isn’t complicated.
Any of the burgers are worthwhile, there’s a flavor for every particular taste. Even the side dishes & various fries can accommodate comprehensive pallets. The service is great, though the servers seem constantly busy, always moving back & forth. They can explain the menu in-​detail and are attentive to details.
What I would change is the music. Holy cow, you will literally hear the entire catalog of 1990s angry-​feminist music. Rather than staying & spending more money, I went somewhere that doesn’t play Sheryl Crow on repeat all night long.

Ugh. It pains me to write this as I was a big fan of toro burger on Mesa. A couple locations have opened and subsequently closed and now I know why. My Black and Blue burger was plain old boring. Very little blue cheese and nothing worth the almost 9 bucks as sold. The onions were so old that at one point I swear I thought I had a rubber band in my mouth. The wife was equally unimpressed. Service was absolutely meh. Our server looked like she had just been told some horrible medical news. Overall, 2 very generous stars. The saving grace was the green chile cheese fries. Very tasty. But. I can make those at home.

This place was alright. I had the Booze Burger and a side of sea salt fries. The burger was okay. I don’t know that I would pay the 9 dollars for it again. The fries were good.
As far as beer selection is concerned, I had the Black Butte Porter and the Number 22 Porter. The Black Butte.
This place was almost too family friendly. I went at 7p.m. an the families started rolling in at 730. Min age was like 1 year lol. Little too much going on around me for my taste.
Only had 2 waiters/​bartenders when on a Saturday… they said they are usually not busy but that changed at 730 hahaha. It was close to my hotel so I’d go back for the beer but not the food. Had about 2o craft brews on tap…

Service: average wait time during lunch is 15 to 20 minutes.
Food: the burger portion size is good not too big or small. However, it could have used a bit more blue cheese.
Ambiance: not overly crowded but they do have a $ 5 burger on Wednesday and could get a bit busy.
Over all a good place to have lunch during the week.

Dropped off a rental car at the airport and hubby said let’s try this place so we did.
Small place, but clean. Was greeted and seated right away. We ordered our drinks which came fairly fast so no complaints with the service.
We ordered the following:
avocado fries– they were a bit greasy and the breading had little to almost no flavor. The spicy aeoli also had no flavor except for the spice. I put salt on them and I normally don’t do that unless there’s no flavor on the food.
Green chile burger no bun and truffle fries– the burger had very little flavor to none. It was placed in top of a lettuce which was okay but usually a protein burger should be wrapped in lettuce. The grilled onions were good but nothing spectacular. Needless to say my burger fell flat on the flavor side even with the green chile on it. The truffle fries… Ok let me just tell you, maybe they need to invest on truffle flavored salt instead of dousing the fries with truffle oil. They were so oily it left a tsp of oil on the bottom of my fries bowl. Were they good? It’s truffle oil! Of course they were good but I sure didn’t req truffle oil as lip moisturizer. They were way toooo oily!
El matador burger with regular fries– hubby said it was good but meat plus bread for that man is good enough. I had a bite and it was okay. The bun was not hearty enough to handle all that stuff in between them. The fried onions rings were clumped up. They weren’t rings. It was more like fried clumped up onions.
Oh and $ 40 our food with 2 iced teas??? Say what??? Waaaaaayyyy too expensive for burgers and fries. I could get 5 double double, 5 fries and 5 drinks at In n Out in SoCal and have a view of Laguna Beach for that price. And you know what? In n Out beat their burgers and fries any day of the week and twice in Sunday!!!
Needless to say, we are still on the hunt for a good burger in El Paso.

For El Paso, this is as good as it gets, I’d give em five but I expect a lot from a burger at a pub. The green Chile burger is great with grilled onions on the meat. Wife order pepper jack verses the cheddar. The Special Bison Burger with prosciutto ham was extremely satisfying (I added green chile to max it out) The service was great for a Thursday the place was ¾ full at 6:30 pm. They also had a decent amount of good beers on tap. The truffle fries were good as well.

I would never voluntarily travel to El Paso but I happened to visit this hole in the wall city for business and was seeking a place for a good meal and some sports on the television. Toro Burger happened to be very close to my hotel and, after my due diligence on Unilocal,I decided to give this place a whirl. I was EXTREMELY pleased with everything I encountered here from the service to the burgers, they are absolutely delicious, my gaaawwd. They put a little branded Toro on the bun too which I found to be a nice touch.
The meat is clearly fresh and hand formed at the point of ordering and they have a ton of stupendous beers on tap including my favorite Fireman’s 4. I highly recommend this place if you’re ever, for some strange reason, in El Paso and need a stellar dining experience. TOP NOTCH GUYS!!!

It’s strange. I have to be in the mood to eat a burger, otherwise I won’t eat it at all. So today was a day, I was in the mood to eat a burger. Haha. I got the Salmon burgee, cousin got the veggie burger, and her husband got the Toro 2.0. He liked his and he finished it in 10 minutes or less. Lol. My cousin enjoyed hers since her burger came with a spicy cranberry sauce. My salmon burger came with a lemon-​y tartar sauce. Sooo good. I was glad it came with a sauce, my burger kinda tasted bland… But, I was glad it wasn’t super drenched in oil. Thanks Toro!
I guess some burgers came with a unique kind of sauce, giving it an extra kick. :)
Sweet potato fries were all right. It was topped off with sea salt. Overall, it was a good place to try a variety of burgers and the atmosphere was good. Quiet during the day, I’m sure it’s busy and alive at night since they open until midnight. :)

This place is amazing. I am from South Dakota and love Tap House 41. This is as close as it gets. The service, gourmet burgers and drinks are top notch. Of you like burgers and great times hit this up! !!!

Not super cheap; I wouldn’t bring small kids, but you don’t want to eat with them anyway.

You know how something’s are all hype etc well not here I have to say I’m speechless how good my dinner was. I ordered the rise and shine Burger it comes with over easy eggs two strips of applewood bacon lettuce tomato little strands of hashbrowns and spicy cranberry ketchup, it was amazing I ordered it medium well and it was cooked perfectly medium well the sweet potato fries were on point as well as my small house salad, I have to say I’m impressed and will be back this one of the best burger I have ever eaten.

The burger I had was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The sweet potato fries were good and avocado fries are interesting. I am a big shake kind of person and they are decent. They can change good to great by the mere thickness. I prefer shakes that are thick enough to use a spoon.

Toro Burger Bar you offer some unique burgers, but the execution was a little lacking and it took a long time for our order to arrive with only three tables with patrons.
Sweet potato fries were good but they need a marshmallow or caramel sauce.

Every time me and my climbing crew comes to El Paso for some climbing, we hit up Toro Burger. We’re always satisfied with what we order because it’s just so tasty! BUT, every time we’ve been here, we have tried ordering an item (beer and some food) that wasn’t available. I don’t know if they decided to not carry that particular item anymore or if they just simply ran out for that day/​weekend… but it’s kind of frustrating when we get shut down 4 times when ordering.
