We stopped here while traveling. The atmosphere is cute and relaxed, and the service was good. However, the food took a while to arrive, the chicken on my salad was chewy, and the soup was not hot. If we drive through here again, we’ll probably wait until we get to Bloomington and have more options.

The best lunch in El Paso. Small café in the rear of a home remodel store. It’s right off the exit 14 interstate 39. Really tasty homemade food, great desserts and coffees. If your in the area — try it, you’ll like it! Did I mention it’s friendly & family run.

This is a great place to have nearby for breakfast and lunch! For starters, they have a great selection of coffee and teas. I have never tried any breakfast item(this may be a new thing for them?) but several items are wonderful for lunch. It is mostly sandwiches, soup, and salads. My personal favorite is the top flight Tom. I think that’s what it’s called anyway. It is a turkey sandwich with a delicious chipotle jam that gives it a perfect amount of heat. Another favorite of mine is the grilled cheese. I can’t remember the name, but it was fantastic and so cheesy! They have weekly specials and daily soups. I have tried the stuffed pepper soup and the taco soup, and both were great. Make sure you save room for dessert! They have homemade desserts that are to die for. They are famous for their cinnamon roll, but my personal favorite is the cinnamon roll bread pudding when they have it. Finally, the service is always great. All servers I’ve had are super friendly. The owner is typically there, walking around to make sure everyone is well taken care of. It is inside of Faulk’s flooring store, which also has a cute gift shop to browse. They are only open until 2pm and are closed on Sundays. So get in the and try it out!

Truly a labor of love, The Landing was a great roadside find on our way from Springfield to Chicago. Stephanie has created a menu filled with so many delightful choices it was almost disappointing that we could only order one meal.
