I love ordering through the drive thru. The food is always delicious. I love the street taco(s) plate. Very flavorful and fulfilling.

We arrived in El Paso on 3/24, ate there for lunch that day, again for dinner on 3⁄26 and again in 3⁄28. So, as you can see, we like the place. The chicken flautas and street tacos(beef) rule. Not so much the chicken fajita quesadillas. The regular tacos are good as well, and the value meal(2 tacos, rice, beans and a drink for $ 5) is a great deal. They have a good variety of salsas, all of which I like. My only complaint about the food is the quantity of guacamole they serve. It is always just too little for the size of the plates. It isn’t elegant, but the price is great and the food is good, so we make this one of our regular spots when we are in a city that has them.

Simple no fuss no muss Mexican fast food. First time eating at one. Enjoyed their tortillas, very tasty. Had the steak street tacos, wasn’t too impressed. However, loved their beans, rice, and salsa. Would go back just to order the tortillas, beans, and rice.

Happy Hour is the best! They have the margaritas for 1.50 and pitcher of margaritas for 4.50! This is a great deal because non-happy hour prices are 4.95 for a margarita and 14.95 for a pitcher! Yes, they are nice and strong, nachos are 1.50 off during happy hour, and 1.50 beers. Monday thru Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm. We ordered the fajita nachos and disappointed because they no longer use the long strops of fajita meat, the type they serve you when ordering regular fajitas. Instead you get the little tiny pieces of meat, which makes it look like nothing! But thanks to my friend’s complaining to the manager, she was nice enough to bring us more meat! The salsas are absolutely fresh and delicious, and the sopapillas are also yummy!

Today was the worst day of my life. I went to taco cabana to get my usual meal. Two potato and egg tacos, one steak and egg taco and a three pack order of flautas Well I wanted to Do a little more today and get some beans and rice. Well I asked for beans and rice and the cashier told Me it was on the way so I said thank you. By the time I got home I was really excited about my rice and beans so I opened my bag to find a lonely container of only beans. I searched and searched for rice only to find that I had been lied to. I was really looking forward to rice and beans with my meal but I guess that was too much to ask of this particular taco cabana so I will not be going back. Thank guy for ruining my night taco cabana

I almost stopped at Olive Garden on my way back from Texas to San Diego but then I spotted a Taco Cabana & flipped a u-ie and made a beeline for it. This is the most tasty place you can stop as far as fast food goes. The quality is good and the flavors are rich and fulfilling. This location was great since it was right off the freeway. I ordered a two taco plate and it came with fresh tortillas on the side and Mexican rice, beans, and guacamole too. They have an extensive menu as far as combo plates and even dessert as well as a variety of drinks in addition to the soda fountain. The best thing is you can get a restaurant quality plate for under $ 10. My deal only came out to about $ 7 total including a drink.

They are horrible for dinning in. They take long long long. I will always just drive through.

Fast food taco, burrito, quesadillas, fajitas… place. It’s at a good location near several hotels, great for a quick fix. As far as the food it was ok perhaps I expected more flavors. I tried the chicken and the steak fajitas. It’s a lot of food and there is a salsa bar area. If ordering to go the wait will usually not be long.

The only good thing there was the chicken fajita salad… Everything else felt too dry, especially carne asada

I missed Mexican food soooo much and I was so happy to stay in the hotel right next to this place! The tacos and grilled fajita were pretty decent but the burrito was just a piece of tortilla wrapped with lots and lots of beef! Is that authentic? But I guess we are in Texas and this place is super near Mexico. I have to trust it right?! And the staff are SUPERSUPERFRIENDLY! Genuinely friendly! Loved the coconut frozen bar too!

I was about to order a 2nd breakfast burrito, but then I found a hair in my first one. The aloof kid at the register could use an attitude adjustment too.

I mostly like Taco Cabana because of how incredibly hot I find the woman in the commercials. That aside, I also like the fajitas here, particularly the steak ones, and the flan is yummy. I was excited to find out about their every day happy hour, where they have $ 1.50 margaritas, nachos, and domestic beers, great stuff. Unfortunately, this location is ridiculously loud, and that’s before the mariachis showed up. I think its an El Paso thing to need blaring noise and music everywhere you go, but C’MON! I understand the need to create an ambiance, but when you cannot carry a conversation with the people in your table without yelling, its just too much. I’m going to try and be fair and give it 3 stars because I like the food, but I’m not sure I’m coming back to this location during happy hour, I like to be able to listen to the people I’m with, I’m weird like that.

So good to be back in Texas! I had to pull over and stop at the very first Taco Cabana I encountered. They are not the best Tex-Mex, but they are the fastest. And they’re open 24 hours.

Living in Arizona now, I don’t get to eat my Taco Cabana very often. However, when I make my Dallas trips I hit my first Taco Cabana when I hit El Paso! I loooove the fajita taco combo. The meat is always fresh, tasty and hot and the tortillas are always fresh. They make their own tortillas and that’s always a plus in my book!

Surprisingly, I liked it… maybe I’m not a Mexican food aficionado but it seems like they have a good thing going here. Diner/take out/fast food set up but good food. I got all 3 types of Enchiladas and they all tasted great! Oy, I forgot how filling and carb-heavy Mexican food is… but worth it!

Additional stars for being close to the hotel area and for being open late. Grabbed the super tex-mex plate due to being hungry and having a lack of any decision making abilities. The Super Tex-Mex comes with — Cheese Enchilada, Crispy Taco, Bean & Cheese Chalupa and Guacamole The bean and cheese chalupa was pretty good, beans were nicely seasoned. the chalupa itself was a nice platform to try out the spread of salsas made available. Crispy Taco — Damn tasty one of the best tacos i’ve had in a while. Very nicely seasoned beef. Again damn tasty Cheese Enchilada — sauce is a bit gritty in taste and lacks in some diverse flavors.

I was surprised at how inexpensive the prices were upon looking at the menu. I figured the portions would be small, but surprisingly they weren’t! I ordered a taco salad with grilled fajita chicken. It was the perfect size, and pretty tasty. There was sour cream and guacamole included too. The margarita… yes, the frozen margarita! There was ALOT of tequila in that margarita. :) I do not normally like frozen margaritas, but this one was actually pretty good. And the small was the perfect size for me. Overall good food, great value.

Background: We took a family trip to El Paso, TX. I enjoy all types of foods and I am willing to try all. This place has great steak tacos. Their homemade tortillas go along great with their soft steak meat. My wife also had the steak tacos which she adored. Overall, it gets 4 stars for great tasting food and a great homebody environment. It was inexpensive and a great change from the usual Chili’s and Applebee’s.
