Great food, love the sushi and the Korean was good too. They were very busy, and wanted everything to be right, so that was appreciated, but service was a little slow(kids meals came out well after ours did) but overall it was a good dining experience and they really do it up for birthdays!

Great place, Chef’s Special and Mexican Orgasm are great. I have yet to find a favorite sushi place in El Paso, but this might be close.

One of the best sushi spots in EP. Keep them in mind if you ever need a caterer. Free soup and salad to first time customers. If you order the California Roll then you either don’t like sushi or you are too scared to try anything else. The dragon roll and the Mexican Orgasm Roll are bomb! If you are in a large group you cannot go wrong with the Sunny’s Special.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s only because of my past visits that I’m not giving it a lower rating. When my friends want sushi, this is our go to place. This time around I ordered the Bulgogi and a Gyoza appetizer. Everyone else I was with went with sushi. My food took over an extra half hour after everyone else had their food. I had to beg them to start eating before me. I get it, there’s the sushi chefs up front who are dedicated to making the sushi and there’s a whole other kitchen in the back. So of course our food would come out at different times, I just didn’t realize it would be that big gap. That wasn’t my rub that night, it was that only after everyone had their food, did they mention that my appetizer was on its way. I’ve already comet the conclusion that they forgot, because no restaurant would serve an appetizer after everyone is already eating(unless they specifically asked). The Bulgogi was mediocre at best. My recommendation: if you go to Sunny’s, go there only for the Sushi.

I lived in japan for 7 years, so finding something that comes even remotely close is hard at best. Sunny’s sushi does come close, however the steak plates are undersized and over priced. Mine came with 8 nuggets of steak totalling about 3oz.8 scallops similar in size to small marshmallows. .but hey… plenty of fried rice! Low score due to the meager portions and 35 min of no service after we got our food from 2 others servers. Btw, only 3 other tables were filled… sooooo need to move back to Japan!

Where to start? Lets just say I am use to Seattle quality sushi… This place is right on par. From the moment we stepped in we were welcomed and brought rice and miso for the kids. The sushi is nothing short of amazing. The Las Vegas roll, Salmon nigiri and Spicy Tuna were fantastic. The tempura ice cream was also delicious!!! Fair prices and adequate quantities. It doesn’t stop there. The service was top notch. The staff is friendly, attentive and prompt. Razor(I’m thinking that is what he said his name was) really stood out and made sure that everything was to perfection. They make this place great for date night or family night. My new favorite place, can’t wait to come back!!!

I work at a well known sushi resturant, and I must say sunnys sushi is the best, this is the place to come and eat sushi. My boyfriend and i loved our experience. The green tea, fresh gyoza, and sushi rolls were Pure perfection. We finally found our sushi resturant to go to.

Amazing. The waiter was over the top friendly and had excellent service. Complimentary salads and soups for being a first time guest. The rolls took a normal amount of time but they were delicious. The Mexican orgasm, the sunshine roll and the millepede. So good. I will be coming back!

K hopes were up but this place was a disappointment… my friend had old frozen rotten shrimp served to him. I ordered baked mussels and they forgot to cook them… they ended up rush cooking them with a torch… they were horrible. The green iced tea taste like tap water. I would not recommend this place.

Sunny’s is one of my favorite sushi places in El Paso. They really know how to do lunch. The bento boxes are priced fairly and you can’t beat the portion sizes. Every time I have gon efor lunch my food never lacked due to the crowd and I have always been able to sit down, order, and eat within a decent amount of time. Hands down they have the best deep fried rolls. The Chef special is my absolute favorite dish.

Everything has improved since my initial visit, the lunch specials are a great bang for the buck. The best«cheap» roll is the Crazy Roll, not too big of a fan of the volcano. The steak bento box is my go to lunch item with a crazy roll side. The service is always extremely friendly.
