Yeah it’s alright. The turkey was good, nothing spectacular though. The side items were ok. The restaurant side’s décor could use some sprucing up. The bar side of the place had a bunch of people and was a lot more happening. I bet that’s where the owner makes more of the money.

I LOVE this place. I sit at the bar and order food… great BBQ! Side note though, the sides aren’t fantastic but ensuring else so good. Happy hour until 10pm and free popcorn. The DJ is amazing too. You hear everything and it isn’t extremely loud where you can’t hold a conversation. Bar tenders can be a hit or miss though. Other Than that come by!

Ribs were dry, tough and had very, very little meat. Remembered why I hadn’t been in one for 10 years. Unless you were a male, the service was lousy.

The only thing great about this place was the sauce on the ribs. It’s really good. The meat was ok, not fall off the bone but it was good. The coleslaw lacked flavor and the red beans and rice was soupy and bland. There was no lunch buffet today. I guess it’s only certain days. If you’re drinking this place might be the spot. I wouldn’t recommend other wise.

I had the buffet today I got there at one a clock and there was very little meat left! They had no brisket a few ribs(6 or 7 pieces), a few bits of turkey and so on! As people kept coming in the only item that were left was sausage and a few pieces of chicken. I waited to see if they were going to add more food, but the food never came. I finally got up and asked if they were going to bring food and the waitress told me that they were done for the day because the buffet was going to be closed at two! It’s funny that they stop the food, but they don’t stop selling the buffet. Even when there’s very little food left!!!

Not even close to BBQ. $ 7 for a sandwich. Over priced, horrible service, just bad. Don’t waste your time or money.

I like this place. It’s great for hanging out. There’s this terrific blond bartender she’s so friendly and welcoming and just makes you feel at home. On the other hand there’s this other bartender there named PRISCILLA she’s such stuck up chick. I even called to speak to the owner about her lazy smart ass attitude and he never took the time to deal with it. The owner really needs to invest in better employees. She made me feel so uncomfortable and like she was to good to even bartend for my friends and I. Beside her yeah the place is great. Use to be pretty popular on Fridays don’t know what happened. Free popcorn and Kereoke guy is really cool. Sound system could be better but meh? It is what it is. Lots of TV’s for watching sports, lots of bar space, restrooms are always pretty clean. Not to great with the specials but then again specials are a thing of the past.

Been to Smokey on a few occasions and wasn’t impressed but it is a good cheap place to have a beer or two. Didn’t really like leaving and smelling like a smoked brisket for the rest of the night though. Its El Paso what do you expect? Just your average bar.

Quality of BBQ has varied for me. Usually pretty good. Restaurant side is small. Bar side good for watching games and drinking some cheap beer. Female bartenders wear liitle outfits that leave little to imagination, which is a good thing.

I’ve been away from El Paso for a few years. Before I left town I went to Smokey’s a few times. Each time I had a great experience. Org I wanted to go to another BBQ restaurant but when I found that one closed I drove over to Smokey’s. I don’t know if it was because the young lady preparing my plate found out from my own mouth that Smokey’s wan’t my first choice that she gave me a bad plate on purpose or not. I asked for«moist» brisket and was given the driest meat I think I have ever had. I tried adding the house BBQ sauce to rehydrate the meet and the taste was off putting. I also ordered a sausage sandwich. I must say I have had better mass produced sausage from a supermarket for much less! My trip to Smokey’s was very disappointing worst of all I has some friends from out of town meeting me for lunch. I was totally embarrassed!!!

Growing up in Dallas, TX I feel like I had BBQ all the time. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner always had brisket or sausage. That being said, I’ve had BBQ from all over. I can say confidently that this place doesn’t even come close to a Rudy’s style place, much less a legit smokehouse. The brisket is firm and dry, as is the chicken. Storing meat in an oven essentially dries it out. The service is ok, but expect a mom and pop type feel. I ordered 5 pounds of good plus sides for my sales team. I saw them actually pouring hot water into the meat once it was cut to add moisture back to it. Not ok. For tortillas and«dinner rolls» they have PREPACKAGEDITEMS I can get at a supermarket. Again. No thanks. For cheap food and a decent place to hang, maybe. But for a legit bbq experience goto Rudy’s down the street.

I am from El Paso and have eaten here numerous times and the food is good but this is about how awful the customer service is. We looked at the website to attempt to cater an event. There was a discrepancy with their advertised price. The price they quoted on the phone was higher than the price advertised on their site. They were adamant about not honoring the advertised price, saying merely that the site needed to be updated. No kidding. Not honoring the advertised price is not ok, so I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will now get my Q from Rudy’s.

Bad bad service at every location. No matter where they all have the same rude employees that make you feel like their doing YOU a favor. Hope management shapes up, for now I’ll be frequenting Smittys, Rudy’s, And Rib Hut.

Came on Thanksgiving eve on another friends suggestion. When walking through the main entrance if you take a right you are headed into the restaurant, but a left takes you to the bar. For as packed as it was, service was amazingly fast. Not a lot of room to move around but that was mainly because of the crowd. Interesting place, and the dance floor was in the back in the smoking area. There were two DJ’s, the one in the main room played a lot of New Wave and 90’s hip-hop, everything from the Smith’s to West Side Connection. In the smoking area the DJ played Cumbias, and other local dance music. Neat place, I’ll come again.

I was in El Paso on a buisness trip and this place was close by. I had the brisket sandwich with everything. The food came out quickly and was pretty good. Nothing special, but good comfort food for a weary traveler.
