Peking Garden Restaurant

Delivery took an hour and it gave me the shits, but the combination plate was good sized and my order was correct and warm. Biggest quarrel is with the delivery time.

I love the moo goo gai pan here! It’s my favorite dish to order. I’ve tried this dish at other restaurants but Peking Garden is the best!

I was introduced to this place by a ex coworker back in 2009 and have kept going back ever since. The only thing I can review is the Szechuan beef #17 on the lunch menu its outstanding not to mention you get rice a eggroll and a drink for a fair price. I don’t go as often as I used to since I don’t work in the area anymore but they have a customer for life.

Never ever write bad reviews. But the lady who picked up the phone was more worried about her conversation with a co worker than taking my order. On top of that she got it all wrong and didn’t put the right order in. Called back and spoke with the manager and kept giving me excuses. He also kept putting me on hold when his personal cell phone rang and spoke to them instead of a customer. Used to over here at least twice a month and I will no longer do it. He wants to charge me extra for the food when I’ve been ordering the same and he said the prices I got were from 5 years ago. I wasn’t in El Paso five years ago to know that. Worst customer service. My food arrived cold and wrong.

Awful food. I wouldn’t even call it chinese food as it tastes nothing like the Chinese food I have ever ordered. Fried rice was burnt, moo goo Kai pan had a strong taste of garlic but nothing else going for it. Mongolian beef was a bland mushy mess that didn’t even resemble Mongolian beef. Sesame chicken was awful and bland. I wouldn’t recommend anybody to blow their money on this gross place. Just nasty.

Small and quaint but the food was awesome, just make sure to come before the lunch crowd. Seating is in short demand

We recently moved here to El Paso from living out in the country in NC. We looked forward to finally getting to get delivery food after years of not having that opportunity. (I love to cook, but everyone needs a break once in a while!)
Anyways, the first time we ordered, it took about 45 mins to an hour to arrive. Everything was there and the food was really good for delivery especially! I’ve had their sesame chicken and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t over-​breaded like sooo many places are. Between us we’ve tried the «Happy Family», chicken wings, chicken fried rice, egg fu yung, and shrimp lo mein and a few others. Everything was pretty good except the lo mein– too greasy or something.
We have ordered I think 5 times now for delivery. The first two times there were no issues… however, the last few times we’ve had problems. It has taken any where from 1 ½ to almost 2 ½ hours to get the food! This time and the last, we ordered (and pre-​paid for) a 2 liter drink and both times they’ve forgot to bring it. Also, we always order (and pay for) extra steamed rice and the one time they brought the correct number of boxes was when I reminded them to PLEASE bring the extra boxes I paid for– one box between the 4 of us does not count! (Most of the dinners come with choice of white or fried rice.) Well, we just ordered again tonight– and I forgot to remind them about the extra rice ordered/​paid for– and we again received only one rice… and the drink was missing again. The drivers were apologetic and very nice about the delays and the missing items. They have twice had to pay us back in cash for the missing drinks (paid over the phone with a credit card.) I forgot to check for the rices, and by the time I realized it was also missing– the driver was already gone.
So we’ve decided this is the last time we will order, at least delivery, with them. We have called and complained about the problems we have had– so it isn’t like they’re not aware. (And I’m sure the drivers tell whoever is packing the orders that items were missing. We still tipped the drivers– not their fault.) We are understanding people– some nights are busier than others so delivery might take longer– but 2 ½ hrs is unacceptable on any night. The food is good and the people have been very nice about everything, but they need to do something to improve timely deliveries and, more importantly, accurate orders. We would still order with them and just accept that it will be a while before we receive our food, but the inaccuracies are too many and too often.
I recommend carryout only at this point– the food is good enough– better than another delivery place we tried, but their track record of promptness and accuracy is lacking unfortunately.

Foods not bad but its not good either. From the comments of out little group eating together:
— We all mutually agreed that everything was way beyond the normal safe limits of greasy.
— Some things such as the sesame chicken was just bland while others such as the broccoli beef was way too salty
— The delivery girl had to be around 19 and weigh around 80lbs
— The BBQ pork was should change its name to day old leather like pork strips covered in sweet and sour sauce.
— There’s more salt than soup and wonton put together in the wonton soup
But for real, we were lazy and ordered takeout to the barracks. The food didn’t take all that long and was hand delivered by a lovely young lady.
If I were to actually go here to sit down and eat I’d be pissed.

The food was terrible! I ordered broccoli, pork fried rice and chicken wings. The wings were fried really hard and all of the food was bland no seasoning at all. Really! How can you mess up broccoli. I’m sorry I wasted money on them.

Absolutely disgusting. Do not order delivery, it will take over an hour and a half to get your food — trust me, it happened TWICE. The food is also disgusting. Definitely not worth the wait.

YUCK! DONT EVER GO, EVER! I mean there were so many things wrong I wouldnt finish anytime soon, and I have to get to class.
