Ok I’m not playing! This is the joint, great vibe. The carnitas really good, The enchilada sauce on tasty good. Beans good, the rice was… Well a little white! Worth the drive. The food is really really good… Salsa was on point, me I loved it… Some might not say authentic, but who cares it was dreamy! The guacamole, we’ll get down with your bad self, I almost cried! I don’t drink alcohol… But those Margarita and slushy things looked incredible.

First time here, looking for fresh food and most of all tortillas… Did not disappoint. Only thing I would say was service was a bit slow… Other than that meal was awesome…

I have been here a few times and the food is ok. At any Mexican restaurant I always order tacos. The tacos were fine along with the rice and beans. The chips and salsa is ok as well.

Only the very best Mexican food in West Texas. Beautiful accommodations, full menu with such variety. I often photograph my plate before I eat. I can’t say enough for the polite professional staff. I love this restaurant. They not only welcome me with my Service Dog, they allow me to order for her as well. She just naps when in restaurants, but enjoys her meal latter when it’s cooled to room temperature. The food arrives fresh and hot. This is a place to go on special occasions, or when you want great service and excellent food. Out standing restaurant, a favorite spot for many locals and a pleasant treat for hungry travelers. A must if you are in El Paso. I have serious doubts you will be disappointed. My favorite place in the Southwest! Best Mexican food in have enjoyed out side of Mexico!

Visited this restaurant because I had been told it was good food and awesome margaritas! From the time I arrived I was enjoying myself, live music and a dance floor was a highlight. There was lots of people dancing and just enjoying themselves, it really made you feel happy and welcomed. We were seated immediately and the waitress was friendly. I ordered a sangria margarita and it came out shortly. I found it a bitter for my taste but overall good. It was made well and they didn’t short me on the alcohol content. As for dinner I ordered the chicken Rosa Flautas. I found the chicken a bit dry but still tasteful. The sour cream and guacamole were very fresh. The rice was my favorite it was favororful and I couldn’t help but eat it all, I would recommend adding it to any dish you order. Overall I was pleased with this restaurant from the food to the atmosphere and I would return!

The building is beautiful, hostess(we had a 45 min wait) remembered us and came right to us when our table was ready. That was pretty impressive to me. Band at the bar was good. We got seated, served chips and salsa right away. Server took our drink order promptly. The margarita was amazing good(got the frozen mango) We loved the appetizer, but the food we both ordered for dinner… meh. Husband got Steak Ranchero, I ordered the Jalisco combo plate. Both had an enchilada with their«red» sauce. It was like thick pasty ketchup. Just awful. The beans and rice were just ok, my taco on my combo plate was stuck in all the red sauce, so it was soggy and had very little meat in it. Super glad we ordered the appetizer or we’d have left kinda hungry. Was really disappointed in the quality of food. Service was spot on, but just no on the meal.

This place is great. Don’t even second guess about coming here, go here immediately. We ordered the steak ranchero and the chimichanga. Absolutely the best Mexican food I have ever tasted. The $ 10 Texas margarita is insane too. My husband and I each had one and had to Über back to our hotel. It was hard to form coherent sentences after drinking one of those. Overall, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly, food came out so fast, and the value for the price was perfect. I highly recommend this place!

Probably one of the best experiences so far! A great authentic restaurant with a great ambience, old fashioned decorations, and scrumptious selection of Mexican food.

Aesthetic Appeal & Atmosphere: The atmosphere is simply gorgeous as you enter in a Mexican hacienda style setting. The tables and chairs are of fine quality wood Service: The service was good at the start. My meal was good. My company was a vegetarian and she ordered a vegetarian enchilada that turned out to have meat in it. Or waiter was unapologetic and lazy about correcting the situation. I asked for his manager to come speak to us. I rarely would do this but this circumstance warranted this action. A manager came over and we explained the situation. She showed more concern over this matter and had another owner come over. He expressed his apologies, said he would address the employee over his actions, and gave us the meal for free. Mix-ups happen but the employee should have taken his job more seriously. Meal Quality: My meal of carnitas was good but was overshadowed by the issue with the service. Aesthetic Appeal & Atmosphere: 5 of 5 Service: 1 of 5 Meal & Drinks Quality: 3 of 5

Outstanding restaurant and awesome atmosphere. Live band was there and they were going ham! HUGE margaritas. Their queso fundido was absolutely amazing! For me they get 3 stars because I gave L & J 4 stars. L & J’s is the clear winner here in my book.

I always afraid to try new restaurant because I have celiac disease and corn allergy. We were invited to a birthday party in the restaurant. I spoke to the waiter and told me about some dishes I could have. I choose a fish soup wish it was amazing. My kids had chicken strip, morher and husband had the jalisco combination. Service was great. I would come back when is not to full.

Okay, look here Carlos & Mickey’s, I need you to get your sh*t together. Ya’ll are known for your margaritas and I will say they are pretty good, but it’s crossed my mind that your employees are also partaking in a margarita or two. The food is a toss up for me. It really doesn’t taste any different than a vast majority of the Mexican Restaurants in EP, but I’m drawn to it for the ambiance. And the margaritas of course. C&M has this cool historical theme going on throughout the restaurant, a big draw for me. On the old menus, there was a part on every page that carved out a small section just for some history lessons on C&M. Now, the history is mostly relegated to the walls, but either way it’s still cool. Last time I was here was for a Unilocaler meetup and overall the experience was good. The server was nice, our drinks came out quickly, and we weren’t so close to the live music that we couldn’t hold a convo. But my order of a beef chimicanga with chile con queso was messed up twice and by the second time I just wanted to eat so I didn’t return it. I haven’t had an issue every time I’ve come and I will say they are quick to rectify any problems. And some of this may have to do with the fact that they are always packed. Always. One of my favorite things to order here is the fried ice cream. Not a typical Mexican dish, but they do it right. They keep it simple with a crushed cereal(usually Rice Crispies), cinnamon, and sugar. Perfect combo! I like to come here once in a while and it’s a good place for someone who wants to get a taste of the Mexican food you’ll find in EP. It isn’t the sum of what you’ll find on the foodie scene out here, but it’s a good start. Comparing my last review to this one, I can say that service has gotten better and more attentive.

Loved it here! The décor was awesome and entertaining! Son any drinks that I saw that looked good! I had the small flauta dish I wasn’t that hungry but it was enough to fill me up after the Queso fundidi!

Came here with a party of 12 on a busy night. It took awhile to get us seated but service was great and our food came out quickly. We ordered a bit of everything. The favorite for the kids was the chicken fingers. Loved the chicken and beef chimichangas. I really liked that the main entrée was the bigger portion and the rice and bean portions were smaller compared to other spots. My only small small gripe was that there was jalapeños in everything even the guacamole! This is one of the reasons the kids didn’t like some of the other kid dishes like the tacos. They said it was too spicy. The extra kick took some of us by surprise. But all in all I enjoyed the experience and food so I’d definitely return.

Los Bandidos de Carlos & Mickey’s, a staple in El Paso for anyone looking to get an extra large margarita with some authentic Mexican food. I had been here before, but honestly I couldn’t remember the food, i guess i either didn’t eat or i was more interested in their Texas sized margaritas that its probably all I had. Sunday afternoon, a quick purchase at Best Buy and me and a buddy were on our way to get ourselves some good Mexican food. We arrived with a long time to wait for the rest of our party so we decided to chat it up while having a drink. Due to the time I had started getting kinda hungry so we decided to go with the appetizer. We did the Grande Nachos and I was pleasantly surprised that either chicken or beef was the same amount of money. We went with the combo to try out both. One thing right off the bat, my buddy dislikes beans, I don’t know why, but he isn’t fond of them. This dish had beans, and he didn’t realize it until about half way through the appetizer. Either they were missing a tad of beans on the Nachos themselves, or the cheese and chicken/beef flavor was overpowering the delicious legumes(that was my fancy word of the day). I went for the Fish tacos, did double rice since I had already had beans with the nachos, and that was a great choice. The rice was a highlight of the dish. That regular white rice with the veggies was properly cooked and flavorful, the fish tacos although good felt a bit too over fried. The crunch was there but honestly so was the burnt flavor. The margarita was delicious!!! Pomegranate flavor with a little cherry at the bottom was the perfect companion for what i ate. The service was immaculate, our server kept checking in on us with a smile even though our party did take a tad longer than we expected to join us. The glasses on our tables were always full and we didn’t have to ask twice for anything! Overall a great experience and definitely somewhere i would go again, this time to try the rest of their great looking menu.

The margaritas are wonderful here! I highly recommend trying their house Margarita, Texas size. It’s huge and every bit of Texan! I’ve been here a few times, and every time I was never impressed with their food nor service. It’s not bad, but it’s not great. My favorite is their steak fajitas. Everything else isn’t really fresh; plus, the servers have a tendency of leaving it under the heating lamp way too long(plates could send you to the hospital from a 3rd degree burn). The servers are usually slow and hostesses seem like they hate their jobs. Music is always great(although a little too loud for a restaurant). Bathrooms are clean, which is always a plus.
