Awesome jerky. Very friendly owners. You get free samples before you commit to one flavor.

I’ve spent many a Sundays at the Downtown Artist & Farmers market and Loco Tote Jerky is one of my absolute fave additions. They have a brick and mortar too, but it’s in the NE so I only ever make a trip that way once in a blue moon. First the owners… the sweetest couple you’ll ever meet and they’ll leave you envious of their loving relationship. Possibly the best team of owners I’ve ever seen. Whether you’re in the store or catching them downtown, they’re always courteous and helpful. And they are not stingy with samples so you don’t have to be afraid to commit to a flavor you’ve never tried(although I’ve never had one I didn’t love). Flavors upon flavors! They’re not afraid to experiment with new ideas and they’ll tweak their recipe based on response. But really flavors galore! I’m talking Siracha, mango habenero, coffee, ghost pepper, lemon pepper, hickory smoked, sweet chile and more. The jerky is done the Carne Seca style, very thin and great with a red beer or some hot sauce(or just down it in the car while you’re going home like me). They’ve also expanded their jerky expertise to vegetarian jerky and dried fruits. Yes, there is such a thing as vegetarian jerky and NO, it’s not made with soy beans. Their vegetarian jerky(aka Beet Jerky) is made with beets, paprika and salt. It has a subtle sweet and just the right amount of salt to be addicting. I seriously ate an entire bag of this before I even hit the road home. The dried fruits are pretty dang good too. I’m talking lemons, oranges, grapefruit, pineapples and apples. I think the pineapples are my favorite and they always have a Siracha smiley face on them so the heat takes it to another level. Oh, and I almost forgot! THESWAI! Yes, they have fish jerky and it’s the best! I always pick up a bag of the fish, always! I’m not sure how many different flavors they do for the fish, but do this… it’s soooooooo good!

The owners are so friendly and welcoming. They have warm smiling faces greet you with their newest creations and allow you to taste them. They have many varieties of jerky and dried fish, and dehydrated fruits, my favorite was coffee flavored jerky oh and the sweet chile was not too spicy but a nice blend and kick. Pricing is great and not skimpy at all on their product. They also frequent the Saturday local farmers market.
