IHOP is the place for traditional pancakes and bacon. I like coming here since it’s 24⁄7 and when I want some breakfast mid-afternoon. Haha. This place is always busy, but they try to seat asap. Place is pretty clean for a busy place and I’ve been here a few times. I like getting their seasonal pancakes or waffles. I recently got their pumpkin waffles with chicken. And it’s tasty! Since it’s busy, the waiters try to be quick which makes ordering your meal a bit easier. :) management has gone around and check on their customers, so it’s great seeing this kind of interaction. :)

Wanna hear a funny story? I got kicked out of this restaurant because I had no money to order anything. It was 10 pm(not lunch hour), and I had to turn in some online homework ASAP before 11:59 that night. The manager claims it’s part of «their» policy when the truth is that it’s part of «her» policy. Don’t walk into this IHOP for a free and quiet study spot, because your not welcome here if your a student with no money to spend.

I’m giving this location five stars because I have yet to have a bad experience here. The servers here are attentive and the one I’ve had on two occasions has been so courteous and friendly. My only reason to visit this location in the first place has been because it was late in the morning on a weekday and I was heading to the east side from downtown. It was busy both times. Since then, I’ve gone at near midnight because of a National Novel Writing Month kickoff event. It was a good choice to hold the event here because the place is clean and the seats are comfortable. I mention this because it’s possible to stay for awhile and do focused writing/work, which we did. There is free wifi with a password – all you need do is ask. Even though there was a large group of us, I experienced the same courtesy and good service as during the day. I would recommend the toasted marshmallow hot chocolate, which is what I ordered that night. I would also recommend the bananas foster french toast, if you like french toast. The coffee is pretty good and it’s a plus that they leave a whole carafe for you when you order it. Their seasonal menu items are also usually very good. So, even though this is a chain restaurant, it is a good example of what I expect an IHOP to be.

Two stars: Food is ok. Never consistent due to different cooks on the line. My omelette was half edible, too many onions can take over any dish. Especially raw onions that are lightly cooked. I ordered the country omelette. Pancakes — what can I say? They are good! Never can go wrong with them. Usually they are perfection. The new chicken and waffles. Nothing more than chicken strips and waffles. Just ok. Customer Service: I Hop is known for the great specials it advertises. The day we came in I was shocked to hear the Asian lady in the front reprimand our waiter for trying to give us promotion menus. A little odd. My trip, nothing was promoted, just the regular menu. Weird. I waited and observed the place. The lady behind us wanted to order from the promotion menu, she was told they couldn’t. Out of curiosity, I asked why no one was being offered the promotions. My waitress stated that they were all out. I gave her the side eye and rephrased her statement. She said yes. I’m now thinking, how are they out of specials when the original menu has them at higher prices. My take: It’s Sunday. Guaranteed crowd. No specials, higher sales at full price. Not cool. Waiters and waitresses, kind.

I love their breakfast. In particular, I’ve always loved their waffles and pretty much all of their breakfast options. They are cleaner than Denny’s(I like Denny’s too) and one of my favorite places to grab breakfast at. Prices are decent and the servers are usually on top of things. Usually…

It took us 30 min to get a table and when they seated us it was filthy. Crumbs underneath the table and food all over the seats. They didn’t even wipe it down. The waitress got our drinks wrong: two glasses of water and two child size chocolate milks. We are still waiting on our food and hopefully its better than there service.

I am disappointed with the quality of food from here. What did I expect? It’s a IHOP. Our server, Andrea, was quick to order our drinks. We wanted some time to order our food but not that much time. Took about 15 minutes until another server noticed and started taking our orders for her until she arrived. I ordered a blue cheese burger, my mom ordered a chicken fried steak, and my grandma ordered some steak tips. Our food arrived and it looked appetizing but they were not. My burger was pretty dry and the patty was a bland piece of meat that really wasn’t seasoned. For once I didn’t finish a burger. My mom’s food wasn’t warm enough and she was disappointed about it. My grandma enjoyed her meal and thought it was ok. I probably won’t give this place another try. I have a feeling that our server sensed our disappointment. I’ll give her props for just being a professional.

It’s an IHOP all is standard same as any other IHOP in the country. The major problem is that it’s always busy and waiters are very nice but try to get you leaving as soon as they can makes it difficult to enjoy your breakfast.

Slooooooow service, when you are waiting to be seated they just look at you and then seat you when they are done chatting away. Don’t ask if they have wifi because then they’ll just respond in an attitude. Save your time and go to Village inn or Denny’s. Food took forever and it wasn’t good.

Great service. We came on a busy Friday and despite it being packed the service was great. Our server was Phil. Very well mannered. He even extended his hospitality and asked us if we wanted to take our drinks to go. I only wish the portions were larger.

I usually like IHOP but this morning’s breakfast was disappointing. We waited 20 minutes for a waffle, English muffin, sausage and hash browns. It was not crowded. The waffle was ice cold and the hash brown portions were small. We left hungry and probably will not return.

I like IHOP. My experience here was sad. I wished I had just gone elsehere. The toast was buttered and then toasted(on the grill?). When I got it, it was more like a grilled cheese sandwhich piece of bread than a nicely buttered piece of toast. The sausage I got was very salty. Meanwhile, as I ate, the bored girls working stood in the corner gossiping and then even had a debate on why Denny’s was better than IHOP. They’re right, I should have just gone there.

This IHOP is consistently clean and has good food and friendly service. I’ve been to others in other parts of the country which were exactly the opposite. If you’re looking for a good, inexpensive breakfast any time of the day or night, this is the place for you!

Yuck. You would think that scrambled eggs and turkey bacon would be easy. Not so. Runny eggs and totally undercooked bacon. My server did not seem to notice either, or that I didn’t eat any of the bacon. So much for go with what you know. I should have Unilocaled BEFORE I ate!

Your fairly standard Chicago local diner fare, open early for the local business coffee crowd, and just off the tollway for travelers. Probably does a brisker business since a local Cracker Barrel relocated out of the area. We didn’t vary from the norm, went with bacon and eggs, at 5.99, including hash browns and toast. Coffee extra. Order was prepared promptly and done to the table’s specifications. We liked the fact that there was butter on the table, and coffee refills came in abundance.

It’s your standard IHOP. Very friendly early morning service. Server guessed correctly I was headed to work(I’m worn out with the hotel breakfasts.) Ordered over medium eggs that came out over easy — I’ll stick to scrambled next time.

I do realize it’s IHOP and it was really late at night so I wasn’t expecting a fine dining experience, but I do expect to not have black wilted lettuce and a lettuce stem(photo attached) in my salad. We placed both in the middle of the table hoping someone would say something about it… our server AND a manager both came over to check on us, looked directly at the bad lettuce, and proceeded to ignore it.
