I’m not a huge Chinese food fan but every now and then I get a craving for fried rice, lo mein, and some general tsao chicken. At recommendation of friend, I tried Golden Buddha(they deliver which is great). All in all I found it to be perfectly acceptable but nothing memorable. I ordered general tsao, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and the appetizer platter(wontons, chicken wings, a piece of rib, and jerky). Service arrived in about 40 mins(exactly what they said). Food was hot and in a sizeable to-go box. I found the fried rice to be a little dry and clumpy. The lo mein were flatter than Im used to and were ok but had almost tangy flavor to them. With the chicken you have option of dark meat or upgrading to white meat. I got general tsao(white meat) and it was tasty. I prefer my fried meat a little crunchier and theirs was softer and mushy. But the flavor was good. The sweet and sour chicken came separate from the sweet and sour(naturally) and they provide a huge container of sweet and sour sauce. I wouldn’t get the appetizer platter as dry meat just isn’t what I was hoping for. Won tons were delicious and I liked the egg roll(if a tad small). Ultimately, if you have a hankering for some Chinese and don’t feel like leaving your house, GB can get the job done for you. In El Paso, that’s about as much as you can hope for when it comes to Chinese food.

My friends and I have been coming here since this location opened — the one that was near UTEP(closed now) was my first experience here. I love the butterfly chicken, the hot and sour soup, and the spring rolls. They’re «egg rolls» here, but they are all veggie, very crispy and not in egg roll wrappers. Everything I’ve ever tried here is served hot and fresh, with rice and the combo has soup and an egg roll, all for $ 8-$ 9ish. The specialties are a little pricier, but still really really good and under $ 11. This is a fantastic family owned local restaurant that has been serving delicious food for years on the west side. Try it out if you like Chinese food; I’m never disappointed.

Food was tasty until I realized these guys don’t wash their rice. Seriously, the rice was full of the little black bugs you see in rice bags. Anyone that buys rice will know exactly what I’m talking about. Won’t be ordering from these guys again which is sad because the food was good.

Was pretty impressive for a little shop! Their lunch specials are especially worth the money! All are usually under $ 10.00. The vast aray of dishes are bountiful, and all lunch specials come with spring roll and soup. I had hot n sour soup, sweet and sour shrimp, and all was delicious. My daughter had beef and broccoli, and it was a bit different from what im used to, beef a little tangy, but broccoli was fresh. and delish! Cant go wrong with lunch starting at $ 6.00.(Hey, wayy better than mcds or bk)!! Enjoy!

Bad stuff: The fried rice was stale. The eggrolls were kinda small and more like spring rolls. Good stuff: Mongolian Beef and Green Pepper steak tasted extremely fresh. The portions were large and we loved the delicious flavor. The staff is friendly and we really appreciate that they deliver out to our west side house near Transmountain.

Menu has vast selection of plates, if it isn’t on the menu, they will make it. There are daily specials which helps to decide. I had the Friday special consisting of lemon chicken and green pepper beef. My guests had, szechwan shrimp, kungpao chicken and chicken chopsuey. Smaller plates are provided and main dishes are served individually, the rice is served separately making it easier to share and taste all plates! Serving portions are hearty and the great taste is consistent. The hot and sour soup is exceptional! Friendly and efficient staff. I have had, delivery and takeout experiences more than dine in, and it is always positive overall freshness and taste. I was very pleased with their seating accommodations, I dined in with both my elderly parents after their doctor’s appointment, both need ambulating assistance(walker and cane) and having booth and chair combination seating made this visit even more suitable and pleasurable. We all enjoyed our meals ;) delicious

Great food! Been a fan since their days by rib hut. Granted, service has gotten a little sloppy and their hot and sour soup has it’s on and off days, but overall a great dining experience!

I wanted Chinese food and no I’m not talking about Panda Express. Lol I found this place on Unilocal and I have to say it was pretty good not the best but definitely not the worst. My husband and I ordered sweet and sour chicken &BBQ pork. The chicken was perfect and delicious but the pork was a little stiff and chewy still good though with its delicious sauce and vegeatables. This may sound silly but I LOVED the rice & it was free with our orders that I mention. I thought I was going to get your typical white steam rice but I’m glad I didn’t because this in my opinion was the best rice. Overall, I was satisfied. I would come here again.

I am traveling on business and saw thier location on the way back to hotel. I decided to try them. I ordered orange chicken, egg drop soup and spring rolls. As a frequent traveler I have been subject to a variety of service experiences. Order was easily taken over the phone. Delivery was faster than expected, food was well packaged and arrived piping hot. Soup was very good and tasty, rice and orange chicken were very good and very flavorful. Order can with lots of condiments, plate and Silverware. (Believe it or not I have had deliveries without the condiments and eating utensils included) Overall a great experience and I will definitely return.

I love this place… nothing fancy. I had the lemon chicken… very flavorful but needs just a hint more of lemon. Chicken was cooked and not overly breaded or heavy. But the Mongolian beef was the true winner. I got it med spice. Large fresh mushrooms and scallions in a nice thick sauce. My absolute favorite here is the spring rolls… always consistently fresh and light and very flavorful. Occasionally on the greasy side but oh so yummy! Always have great service… never have to hunt anyone down for the a refill or to go box. Too bad they moved away from my area a few years ago but still worth the extra few miles.

I got the curry chicken and egg drop soup for take out. I went in to pick up my food during dinner hours and it was empty. The food wasn’t half bad. They give you more than enough food for one portion. The prices are a little steep for Chinese food but if you’re craving Chinese, this place won’t disappoint. The egg drop soup was what you would expect, you can’t really mess it up.
