It’s my very first time purchasing violin for my daughter. I don’t know anything about it but Rosa, the owner, helped us a lot and assured us for any problems, we can come back and they’ll be happy to help. Very good experience for first timers like us!

This is simply an updated rating for a review I wrote in 2013. I have moved up to 4 stars from 3 stars. In addition to the string instruments they have on hand, I have a friend who recently graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory, Cal State Long Beach, who purchased his bassoon here. I also recently purchased a ¹⁄₈ bow for a violin that I am using to teach my granddaughter.
Not exactly a great looking place but pretty decent prices on Chinese made instruments. If you know what to look for in string instruments you can get a good deal. I do not suggest a neophyte buy here as many Chinese produced instruments are unplayable. If you know what makes an instrument decent quality you can score. I have several friends who recommended a brand of violin/​viola string called Feng Lin. They are similar to Dominants and are ¼ the price. I have used some as replacements on school instruments and so far the tone is very good and they hold tuning.

This place might not look as fancy, but boy it surprises me when I headed in! They have a great variety of selections of violins, which I was desperately looking for a decent one. I know it usually gets pricey to purchase an above average quality violin, but I found their price to be very reasonable comparing to the past few stores I’ve been to. George, the guy at the front was very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to string instruments (I’m sure he is just as good with other types of instruments as well). He was very patient and nice and knows exactly what I was looking for. He was really genuine and gave me some really good advice in picking just the right violin for my needs. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in search of a right violin! (Plus I got a really good deal for the quality!)
