I really thought this place would have great Chicago style pizza based on all the good reviews I read, but I was quickly disappointed when I got my pizza. It’s nothing like Chicago style pizza at all… It’s just like any other pizza with a lot of cheese. The crust of the pizza was soft and not crunchy, the sauce was really sweet and it has a thin layer of bread on top of the pizza(not sure what thats about). It wasn’t as flavorful as a true Chicago pizza. Along with my order we got buffalo wings… Which again was another disappointment… They were cold and soggy. If your just looking for any kinda of pizza, this place will do… If your looking for Chicago style pizza this isn’t the place for it.

Get ready for an amazing pizza and Hawaiian food place! We came here for a deep dish pizza and we got some spam on the side. Pizza was amazing super cheesy ! As soon as you pull the pizza you have 12 inches of stretch before you get it off. Tastes amazing! For the spam mmmmmmusubi it had the spam then rice layers(i am used to rice spam rice) and it had this awesome sauce i usually like the spam from Shakas but this spam was delicious too!!! Nom nom nom. Staff was amazing, very kind, probably college students Only thing that threw me off was the name on a new sign sticking off the building it says The One and on the end of the building it says Mr Pizza and Pasta so i will also leave this same review under that Unilocal name. If you are looking for a nice place for take out in El monte come here . We will definitely come back.

I was craving a bit of pizza when I heard that this place had Chicago style pizza. Not having ordered from here in a very long while I decided to go a little hard in the paint with one medium Chicago style pizza, a normal medium pizza and some buffalo wings just for myself. After calming down my inner fat kid and ignoring any of the specials they had and spending around $ 40, I waited patiently for the pizza to arrive. Didn’t take as long as I expected, they estimated around 30 – 40 minutes but it felt less than that. I always have a preference to supporting more local businesses and this place is a great spot for local pizza. The cheese on the Chicago pizza had that attractive pull and stretch that you often see in television or cartoons that I haven’t really seen in a long time. The cheese in the crust as well was amazing. The normal medium sized pizza didn’t have that impressiveness as the other pizza but was good nonetheless, though maybe it’s due to being compared to the super cheesy Chicago pizza, but it felt a little bland. The wings were surprisingly large and had lots of meat on it. The spicy hot wings weren’t really all that hot but quite good buffalo wings. All in all I like this place and will likely order from them again when I feel like being a glutton.

As a local im always trying to promote and give moms and pops shop a try. So today i came in to give the new Hawain bbq a try. Which was a surprise because i thought they only sold pizza nonetheless i gave it a go. I gotta say it really did meet my expectations. Everything was on point, i had the chicken bbq and to my surprise they hooked it up. They gave me the whole bbq mix, which was awsome. Im really glad a bbq place has came to el Monte these people have earned my business. O and the staff was pretty awsome! thanks.

Mr. Pizza first satisfied my hunger with a pepperoni pizza. I was very happy with the contents of my large pizza box, and vowed I would order from them again! The pizza was delicious. Just the right amount of cheesiness and a flavorful and satisfying amount of pepperoni. I think I ate the crust too.(That’s bonus points for any pizza.) Upon ordering from Mr. Pizza a second time, things changed. I ordered pasta and wings, the prices were daunting and I was starving. Why not? They had no chicken Alfredo. They had«Alfredo spaghetti». And instead of chicken the default ingredient was ham. Interesting. Along with a huge amount of mushrooms and onion and bell peppers. Fortunately, I was able to substitute the ham for chicken but given it was said to be a rather small serving I ordered some chicken wings to accompany. The Alfredo spaghetti was only good because I was starving. There wasn’t a lot of sauce so it was sticky and hard to gulp down. A ridiculous amount of mushrooms covered the spaghetti. The wings were extremely dry. I was so disappointed, I shook my head and threw them away. I couldn’t even bite into them. It was shocking because their menu states prices for mass amounts of wings. Mr. Pizza, I think you should stick to pizza.

On top of the pizza being fresh and amazingly flavorful, you can borrow board games, free wifi, and a buy one get one free on boba and smoothies. A must try place for this mom and pop shop. The ladies were also very friendly and helpful

Amazing pizza!!! Ok guys so here we have a little mom and pops pizzarea. Now there pizzas are good, but the famous chicago style pizza is the reason you want to come here. Its so big 3 slices fill me up. Im a kainda guy who kills a little ceasers pizza or pizza hut or dominos pizza solo… so yeah.. And its only 20 bucks. About the same you would spend at pizza hut for a large plus dilivery . Now i woulde suggest you do this. When you order a chicago style pizza from here ask for them to do 2 turns on the pizza. You dont want it soft doue. You want it crisspy. So 2 turns means its cooked twice. Enjoy

This was my go to pizza place for many years. I used to live down the street and my family and I would order a lot from this place. The employees are very welcoming and nice. The place does have a small parking lot and it’s on the corner of Elliot and Tyler, you will not miss it. As far as the pizzas go, they are very scrumptious! My favorite toppings are Hawaiian style and the deluxe. The deep dish is one of their specialties. You take a bite of their pizzas and baaaam!!! An explosion of great flavor in your mouth. Try the mojos and calzones as well, you will not regret it. They do deliver and they do have specials.

So I seen chicago style pizza advertised here so I took a gamble. Before I’ve only had chicago style pizza from Masa in Echo Park. I ordered it but I put non traditional toppings on it. The price is reasonable less than 16 for a small 8 slice pie. Also it did not take long to bake. That’s a advantage to the few places that offer CSDDP. I got the pizza texture is right, deep and uses tomato pieces. Since I put chorizo and bacon instead of traditional toppings it kind of tasted different. I will go back and ask for a traditional topings. Overall good place with great pizza. Only reason it’s 4 stars the parking lot sucks

While I am not much of a fan of a ton of toppings on my pizza, I will say it was good! It was nice to have a different style of pizza to try since most pizza is the straight crust, sauce, etc. The pizza itself is heavy but really good!

I found this place by accident and I was very pleasantly surprised. by the time you go to a place like Subway and spend $ 6 for a sandwich another couple of bucks for chips and two more dollars for a soda you’re already at 10 bucks what I got here was 13 dollars and I got a good size plate of ravioli with meat sauce with sausage and a good size salad. That’s bang for your buck. the only real negative I have to save a tall is the sauce was kind of bland but otherwise I was very very happy.

Meh, i’m sure there are people that like 10 pounds of meat and cheese on their pizza with an overwhelming amount of sauce tossed on top. but it wasn’t my cup of tea. The mojo things were cold and soggy by the time they got to my house with a(1) packet of ketchup. Plus, the delivery guy was a weirdo. Like, i tipped him even though i stood at my door and waited for 11 minutes to finish the transaction. and this dude looked to see how much i gave him! I used to be a server. Rule no.1: DONOTPEEKATYOURTIPSTILLYOU’REGONE! Anyway, i didn’t really like the pizza. Maybe the other stuff is good.

We ordered food to be delivered. For starters, the dude wrote down our address wrong and the delivery guy had to call to find us. Now let’s talk about the food… GROSS! I ordered a pizza which was kinda okay, but the cheese had a weird smell and even my dog wouldn’t eat it. My mom and bf ordered pasta. Both complained that the noodles were chewy and nasty. Worst of all, all three of us got sick after eating. I really don’t think we’ll ever go back here no matter how close we are to them. OH and one more thing… the menu that you find on their alleged website is incorrect. In fact, the employee who took my order over the phone stated that the website shouldn’t even be up anymore; that the new owners refuse to pay for it. Nice, huh?

The pizza was tasty. I would get a Chicago style pizza again from here but I would get more toppings. They charge per topping and I did not see any deals to get multiple toppings. I did get their chicago style special with wings, and a small pizza and 2 sodas for $ 20. It was good. The food is definitely made fresh so be prepared to wait… I like that. There is seating in there but not a lot. They also have a tv so I watched the news while my food was being cooked. I would go back if I was in the area. I don’t think I would drive specifically just to eat here. Street parking. 4 tables inside to eat in. Staff was very nice.

I was recommended to this place to try their Chicago deep dish pizza… boy oh boy… ITWASSOYUMMY&FILLING! My friends and I also got their buffalo wings and it has got to be some of the best wings we’ve ever had. They were bigger than a lot of other wings we’ve gotten anywhere else. You totally get to customize your pizzas here… & I know you can technically do that anywhere but I think there’s no extra charge? Or maybe their pizzas are just really inexpensive! This place has a small parking lot but plenty of street parking and it’s nothing but residential and a liquor store by it so it’s kind of hard to miss. Just in case… i used google maps to get here and it led me a few blocks away but my friend used verizon and got to the place with no problems If you’re a fan of cheesy goodness, lots of ingredients, and super freshness… You just gotta try this hidden gem.

I guess good things do come out of the city of El Monte … Surprise Surprise! A friend introduced me to this place. He’s a man who takes his pizza SERIOUSLY, so i was confident in his recommendation. I order a peperoni, bell pepper and jalapenos pizza, it was oh so tasty. We didn’t get the deep dish, I’ll save that for next time. Mr. Pizza & Pasta is the perfect example of never judge a book by its cover
