This is my go to place, I live about one minute from here so you know I’m always coming to eat at this location. Their kids meals are affordable and I love it because it’s not like they give you a small amount they give you enough to share with someone else. The carne asada fries are obviously the popular choice and I agree! The meat is juicy and the cheese just melts on the fries. You can also call and order ahead and then just pick up your food. That’s what I do and never wait more than a minute after I get there to leave with food and a yummy horchata in my hand. Definitely recommend!!!

Let me make something clear before I start my rant: I LOVE Alberts, unfortunately, it’s the Pico Rivera location. I frequent the PR location(at least) once a week, so when I happened to find myself in the parking lot for the El Monte spot, I figured I’d indulge outside of work… shouldn’t’ve done that. Got a rice and bean burrito, a bean and cheese burrito and a pollo asado burrito, all of which I rotate on my visits and didn’t think there would be much difference seeing that I was only a few miles away and at the same«chain». I LOVE beans, but these beans were no good. The cheese in my burrito seemed old and the tortillas were generic, cooked tortillas(not from the raw like PR). The rice seemed fine, but the chicken in my pollo asado burrito tasted like it was going to make me sick(it’s still early, the jury’s still out on that). The salsas are outside and not chilled(probably riddled with bacteria) and, even worse, weren’t, well, good. Even with all this, the worst part may have been the service. The guy at the window was more concerned with setting up what was going on that night than taking my order and had a terrible attitude when I asked for my order to be any different what was listed on the menu. Needless to say, I will never be back here, and anytime I have a craving for a burrito I’ll head down the street to ‘the taco man’(which is amazing btw)

Man I miss this place! Best crispy beef tacos I’ve had anywhere! Their burritos are big enough for 2 to share. Ever since we moved away from the area, my wife and I have been searching for crispy tacos and none have come close to what Albert’s delivered! Great food! Would’ve been 5 stars, but I deduct one for their service. It’s not that it’s bad, but they sure could be friendlier. For example, as customers walk up to the window, a simple, «what would you like to order today?» would be sufficient. Instead, they stand their with their order book, pen in hand and just stare at you. They write down what you order and bark out the price. Maybe, just maybe, a smile would be nice, but alas, I didn’t come here for smiles… I came for the food.
