Dr. Funada is an excellent dentist. My entire family goes here. All of their services that we’ve experience have been excellent. Mainly hygentist cleanings and fillings. Dr. Funada is very thorough and skilled. We moved our kids from a pediatric dentist to Dr. Funada. They are teens now but he’s great for them. Highly recommend.

My 100^th review. It’s epic to write your 100^th review on Unilocal.But a dentist? Yes! This is no ordinary dentist. Dr. Funada is simply the best. He continues to amaze me as being the kindest, gentlest dentist ever. He’s even seen me on the week-​ends for emergencies. Talk about dedication. He’s patient, never pushy, humble, skilled, and never up sells or pushes any treatment. His dental hygienists are amazing too– passionate, professional and caring. My teeth have never felt this clean or looked this good.
If you are scared of the dentist, this is the place to go. My kids even love going and look forward to their dental visit. When was the last time your kids asked to go to the dentist?! We’ve referred friends from Cool, Roseville, Lincoln, Placerville, Sac… they all LOVE Dr. Funada and his staff. Several friends have had their silver fillings replaced by Dr. Funada, at their request. They have ALL reported sleeping better, and have not had headaches since he took their silver fillings out and replaced them with porcelain. Plus, they look better too. Win/​win.
Dr. Funada is in his mid-​40s, I think. You can never tell with Asians though! It’s the perfect balance of smarts, wisdom and experience. He’s not too old to have lost touch with the latest and greatest or too young to be experimenting on you. His staff are super caring and have been there since we’ve been coming. Pretty amazing in this world of high turnover.

Dr. Funada and his team are the best around. My whole family sees him, and my seven year old daughter had her first filling yesterday. For parents that think they need to take their children to a «kids dentist» with all the toys and cartoons… this is simply not the case. Dr. Funada is patient, gentle, soft spoken, and he explains everything he’s going to do to the child so that they are comfortable. His entire team is sweet and knowledgeable and they make you feel at ease when they sense that you may be nervous. Even Kaitlyn (front desk) is a pleasure to deal with when it comes to billing issues and scheduling. Go see Dr. Funada, you will not be disappointed!

BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD HANDS DOWN! Just the thought of going to the dentist used to give me a great deal of anxiety. With each additional dentist appointment my phobia seemed getting worse. I had heard great things about Dr. Funada and was willing to give him a try. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by his friendly staff. As I was taken to the back and sat down, I immediately warned them of my situation. I explained that I was terrified on needles and was prone to fainting. Dr. Funada and his assistant were very understanding and put me at ease. Before each step of the procedure they explained how it would feel and what to expect. I was frequently asked how I was doing and if I was in any pain or if I needed a break. Dr. Funada was extremely gentle and I am very pleased with the quality of work. Needless to say I have found a new dental office. Thank you Dr. Funada.
