I was in search of covers for my residential sprinkler valves. Having recently moved from the Bay Area, this is our first home with a lot of grass to manage (both front and back yards). After going through a freeze this winter, I figured there has to be a better way to cover and insulate the valves other than using my dog’s spare bed cover and beach towels :-(
I noted that many commercial backflow valves were covered by specialized blankets throughout the greater Sacramento area. After searching online, I found Dale’s Canvas (
). The website was very professional and there are plenty of photos depicting commercial applications. I call this past Tues and spoke to Bill Griffin to inquire about a possible purchase.
Bill provided awesome customer service and is very knowledgeable on all the products on the site. He advised me that a custom manufactured insulation cover will be more suited for residential sprinkler valves than the commercial backflow ones which I had originally looked into. I provided the measurements for two sets of valves. The pricing is comparable to standard sizes on existing covers in their supply. Basically there were no extra charges for my custom covers. I decided to go ahead with the purchase. Bill stated that it would take a day to fabricate and it would be shipped to me by Thurs. I was floored. Only two days time for custom covers?
Well, I received the covers via FedEx Thurs morning. It exceeded all my expectations! Kudos to Bill and Dale’s Canvas for providing a solid custom product that will last for years to come. In closing, I cannot say enough about Bill and his customer service and attention to detail. He was very patient and will be willing to work with you on your needs… either existing stocked items or custom covers.
