Pete came out and gave me an estimate to trim a big tree in my backyard. It was during the hot summer and he advised my type of tree does not do well being trimmed in the heat. He gave me a price and suggested I wait until the cool of winter to do the work. I called him out this winter and guess what? Somehow the price went up. I asked why the price increase and his reply was «just because» I showed him the written estimate he had left me during the summer to no avail. He said he would think about it and call me back. Of course I’ve decided against using his services. Terrible businessman all around.

I needed to remove a tree from our yard at a neighbor’s request. Peter and his crew showed up and within 20 mins had it totally cut down, and were gone 15 mins later after cleaning everything up. Very professional.

I had two 50-​foot Mexican palms trimmed and skinned, and they came out great. Because the wind became a factor, the work had to be interrupted and continued on a second day so that there was no risk of damage to a neighbor’s solar system. The neighbor’s yard was thoroughly cleaned of small pieces of debris each day as well.
I was very satisfied with the work performed by Pete Ryken and his crew. Pete gave a fair estimate, was easy to contact, and completed the job in a timely fashion. It was refreshing to work with a true professional.

The removal of a half-​dead, bug-​infested pepper tree from my front yard was pretty painless. The fee was reasonable, the work was completed in a timely manner, and the owner and his workers were very polite and helpful. Mr. Ryken is a tree aborist and can also help you learn everything you ever wanted to know (and more!) about your landscape.
