Nita’s Deli & Bakery

Came here today for lunch, but it’s no longer Nita’s. It’s now called Big Bite Deli. Nice guys working the front. Sandwiches had generous amounts of meat. Check them out!

I was working in a nearby business for a couple days and came here for lunch. I had the Italian sub. Really delicious. However the pickle was a little too salty for my liking.

I have no words to describe my experience in this place, first and formost when you get a personalized «thank you» from the owner herself, she remembers my name after two visits and even gives you a hug after eating there; what other customer service qualifier do you need to rate this a 5 start. This is by far the best customer service i’ve ever experience.
The food is great, salads are very well portion and the price is reasonable, ive eaten both a tuna salad and a greek salad and they are amazing. The tuna was so fresh that I falled in love with the salad.
The freshness, friendlines and attention to this detail really stands out from any other bakeries. Thank you so much for the amazing service and May God continue blessing this business.

The best deli in San Diego! I’ve been here multiple times… everything I’ve tried has been so tasty! The customer service is outstanding! They treat you like part of the family!

We placed an order through eat24 and we’re not disappointed! The gentleman who brought our food was friendly and efficient. Everything was labeled inside the bags, this was a first I think.
We got two sandwiches, the turkey and bacon and a club. Both were excellent and huge. They came with pickles on the side, potato salad, and a bag of chips. I also ordered a small soup of the day. I did say small, but it was quite big. Not that I’m complaining, because it was delicious chili topped with cheese. I managed to eat it all. I’m wondering what a large looks like, haha. Of course we also ordered cookies for dessert. We got a couple of the chocolate chip and a couple of the white chocolate macadamia nut. These were also excellent.
I’m definitely a fan and will order again. I may need to stop in and check this place out for myself. Thanks fellow Unilocalers for all the glowing reviews, you did not lie.

Just moved our office into this area. We ordered online, the service was great. The young gentleman that delivered was great. Food was awesome! More than I expected. We are satisfied! Yum!

Got addicted to this place while on business trips in SD. The food is so good. I’d probably say the best gyros I’ve had since being over sea’s in Europe. The portions are pretty big. Well worth price you pay for them. Also the customer service is on a whole new level of awesomeness.

I love coming here to get an Italian sub. They give you good portions of meat so u don’t feel like they are trying to skimping on the good stuff. The staff here are also so nice and if you don’t know what you want they are more than happy to help you find something that sounds good. Nita is such a funny kind woman she makes me smile every time I come in. Definetly a hidden gem in my opinion but very worth the find!

Great food. I was surprised at the size for the price. The service was amazing the ladies there were very nice and answered my questions nicely. They have my son a free cookie, which I love when food places are accepting of kids.
$ 8 for an easily split tuna melt, chips and small side.
Will be returning soon and often.

Oh my goodness!!! The sandwiches here are HUGE and so delicious!!! Marina, the owner, is such a sweet woman, loves to take care of her customers and it really shows. Everyone that works here treats you like family, it’s awesome. I’ve had numerous things from here and everything has been good (their hummus and the vegetarian sandwich are two of my favorites). If you’re near I highly recommend you come by! They also do a live BBQ station every Friday with BOMB chicken specials. GO HERE!!!

I’ve been here twice now, good portion sizes, decent price, food has been excellent both times. Service is good and employees are nice. Fox News on the TV first time I was there and country music on the radio the second time neither of which I can stand, I guess they’ve got to cater to the locals, ha ha, but the food is excellent and the people seem really nice.
Edit: Apparently they read my review right away and when I went back there today they changed the music for me without me asking and told me I could watch whatever I want on TV. Then they gave me free cookies even though I had already given them 5 stars!

The food is very good. I love the fact that I get a pack of chips and a cookie with my lunch… EVEN WHEN IT IS BREAKFAST!
Not a fan of the Pepsi, seems that the carbonation is off, but that is no reason to avoid this place!

yesterday I tried to order food i did not get on time.
I wrote an honest review that i would not try the restaurant again.
Today I received a plate of food and drinks from the restaurant apologizing for the error. I have never had such a heartfelt apology for a mistake made on my food.
Let me repeat it so you can get the gravity of this.
A younger gentleman (early 20’s) came in with a large plate of food and drinks asking for me. He sincerely apologized for the mistake yesterday and explained that they are under new management and do care about my experience. (I would hope that one day my own son would be able to accomplish such a sincere apology.)
It made me realize that I may have been harsh even though my review was true…
Everyone deserves a second chance!
I truly appreciate the sincerity of this companies effort to correct the issue WAY above and beyond any expectation I could have ever had.
oh– almost forgot– our shop guys were all gone so I got to share them with the building and they all agreed the food was DELICIOUS! Great breakfast sandwiches!

I had an appointment near by so I decided to stop by here for a quick breakfast. This place is located in a industrial center in north El Cajon. I ordered the everything bagel breakfast sandwich with bacon and eggs with a slice of cheese for $ 3.99 and a cup of coffee for a dollar. (

When I ordered I was offered a complimentary scrumptious chocolate chip cookie. (
) The bagel Sammie was very good and the egg cooked perfect the way I like on a sandwich, over hard. (
) They piled on the bacon which was very crispy and flavorful. There were a few over cooked pieces, but I do like my bacon crispy not limpy. (
) The everything bagel came nice and warm and was moist.
The makes several baked goods, including the cookies that surprised me with a brownie in the center. (
) They also offer one with a chewy coconut filling. The service was grand, and the lady who runs the show, is very pleasant and eager to please. They have seating inside and a small outside patio. (
