The location has changed and it is now located in Spring Valley. You will be better off going to the website:
to look at the menu, search for a host site closest to your home and order online. Please make sure you are on time picking up your goodies on the distribution day. All persons involved with GSF are volunteers (if you like the program as I did, you should ask how to give back and volunteer your time as well!) so make sure you are respectful of their time.
I started in the program since their is no salary requirement! Golden Share Food’s motto is: IF YOU EAT, YOU QUALIFY! I decided to volunteer and I’ve done so for now going on 12 years! The people are very gracious and it is wonderful program to get food and volunteer your time.
The food comes directly from food distributors, not individuals so please know you are getting exactly what the grocery chains are receiving. Therefore, if you are interested in stretching your food/​food expense for the next month, Golden Share Foods is for you. And at these prices, you can’t go to the grocery store and purchase every item on the menu for what you are paying! Try it and see; you have nothing to lose.
