I’ve getting them, and to me they’ve been second best to Mary’s. However, I went their during an amazing hour and somehow got them fresh, and they were they BEST donuts i’ve EVER had.

Ive stopped by this place and various hours of the day and their are some serious issues here. If you go there early in the morning they have a great selection of donuts, etc and the selection is fresh endless food. If you go there latter in the day like after 3 or 4 pm there is very little if anything left in terms of a selection to choose from. The owners need a serious course of human relation skills no matter what time of day you go there. Ive personally witnessed folks buying 5 – 6 dozens donuts with few people in the store and the people are always hurry up, hurry up I have work in the back. Please sell your shop if you don’t have the slightest sense of gratitude to the people who support your business and lets someone who has some social skills run your shop. The donuts are good but Ive never ever heard the word thank you said to myself or anyone that buy from them. Folks that’s a basic. This place also sells a lot of day old donuts for $ 5 a box which people like, the price are fair, the coffee and other drinks good so id still go back… Shown appreciation to your customers with a simple thank you and a smile and you just might sell a lot more product.

My family and I are new to the El Cajon area and we wanted some doughnuts. So we stopped into Christy’s and we’re surprised with the prices! We got a dozen plus a dozen donut holes for under $ 10. We were shocked with how inexpensive they were. They are very friendly as well. Typical selection of donuts, but they all taste great, if you buy a dozen you get 3 cake donuts for free! Seriously, can’t beat that. So if you’re looking for a doughnut shop in El Cajon give Christy’s a try!

Moderately delicious doughnuts, and the guy working the place is nice. I’ve stopped here a half dozen times for a few doughnuts and sodas over the last two weeks. Worth eating at.

I had a great experience Saturday July 11, my husband picked up a dozen donuts for my first Saturday working in a new job/office. I think he said they added a freebie or two. Delicious and so fresh! $ 8 and so yummy, thank you!

My boyfriend came here in the middle of the night tonight around 230 because I’m pregnant and I was craving donuts, he then face timed me to see what I wanted & the lady that was working was so rude! All you hear her saying is «Hurry up I have to get back to work!» Uhhhhh were paying customers and that’s not something you say to any customer. Never again going back no need for the rudeness it wasn’t that serious to get back to making donuts to a place that was dead to begin with.

My family and I have been coming here for over 20 years, however, after today, never again. They used to be a 5 star, but have gotten worse and worse over the years. The variety available at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon was nothing but chocolate, maple, and glazed raises donuts. No jelly filled, no cake donuts, no crullers… and the lady working there simply said«no, sorry», and went in the back when I asked about variety. To make it worse, the place was filthy and grimy as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a week. For the first time in 20 years, there were no other customers there. Go figure. Really too bad, cuz it used to be great.

I had passed this establishment for more than a decade and this is the first time I actually had the craving for donuts. A block had gone by and my tummy and brain in unison told my hands to turn the car around. I am a slave for my faculties so the rest of the body followed. Surprisingly enough there was a line(must be the morning rush) which gave enough time to narrow down my decision. I ordered old fashioned donuts; chocolate, glazed, maple, and original. I am a happy camper, the donuts were delicious and there is nothing better than a coffee and donut combo.

This place will get no stars from me!!! 1st: service was terrible and with attitude. 2nd: They’re were bugs inside the cases touching the donuts. Was just there for my first time and MYLASTINTHESAMEVISIT!!! Definitely not pleased at all. And ended up throwing donuts away. Didn’t catch it until my girlfriend notified me of the bugs!!! When we reached the house after. Also I was forced to put one star for this to post this so no one else would make same mistake. Ty for Yur time

The search for a good donut shop near the new pad in SD brought us to Christy’s Donuts. I remember when this place first opened years ago. I’m sure it has changed hands a few times, but the name and location have remained the same. They were relatively busy, with a few patrons enjoying their morning sweets in the indoor seating area. Others, who seemed to be regulars, were lining up to place their orders. We opted for a dozen. Their apple fritters and cinnamon rolls are HUGE and included in the dozen for a slight up charge. $ 7.50 for a dozen assorted, plus the upcharge for the bigger donuts isn’t too bad. Wait though, there’s more. You get three free cake donuts when you purchase a dozen donuts. The staff was friendly and we were greeted promptly upon entry. We were in and out relatively quickly and on our way to share our catch with the rest of the clan. I wanted to grab a cup of coffee, hoping to find a diamond in the rough. Can’t say I found it. I wasn’t too impressed with the coffee, but I am admittedly a coffee snob. We will continue the search of the best donut in town, but would not hesitate to return to Christy’s.

I’ve successfully bought some Donut Holes from here 3 times, drove there but bought nothing a few times and had their donuts on a few occasions. I can say that they are superb, exactly what I wanted in a donut(I favor the fluffy raised ones more than cake). Soft, lightly sweet and paired well with milk. Leave some in a bag and you will see through it the next day, but they don’t scream fatty/greasy to me. Where they fall short for me, is the customer service and their not so open«24÷7» hours. Every time I’ve been in(around 2:20 — 2:45 am) it’s the same two employees. An older Asian man and woman, usually busy making dough, or some other task behind the counter. The man quietly does his duties, the lady practically hollers something like«just a minute» or «be there, wait». It’s kind of shrill, but after a minute or so she does come up front and almost demands what you want. Her tone exudes frustration and eagerness to get this transaction done and over with, at least to me. It’s like I have somehow ruined her day and she could care less if I bought anything, let alone came back. Now I didn’t go in expecting stellar service, nor did I really want the creepy/insincere PR smile & nods. I was hoping for maybe a smile, a «thanks come again» or «have a good morning». The first time I was chastised for too much small change, apparently they frown on some pocket+car change being used for a purchase. The majority of the sale amount was in quarters/dimes/nickels, but save for 2 dimes worth of pennies. It was like $ 1.20 and I didn’t dump a mound of copper on her either, or so I thought. But that was wwaaayyy too much and she curtly told me next time less pennies, OK… The 2nd&3rd times I made sure to use paper & as little change as possible. She greeted me about the same, seemed rushed, but handled the order promptly, even saying goodbye once. Of the 9 or so times I’ve ventured over, 3 times I got what I wanted(donut holes). Four they were open, but had no donut holes available. Twice they had the open sign on, but the lobby lights were off, just the counter lights on, donuts in the counter and no one around. They were closed and after driving up twice to see this, I just decided to do drive by from then on, unless the establishment showed signs of life. So them being open all the time is misleading, especially when the neon open sign is left on? All things said, if you don’t mind the price, or service and catch them open, they tend to have pretty good donuts!

By far some of the best dang donuts(«doughnuts,» for the purists) you will EVER have. The chocolate covered cream filled ones(main picture) are the drop-dead best. Oh my God… O … M … G… each bite each bite is like that video segment of a young Candice Bergman in some movie where she has her first big«O»…(as in OMG). They do not cheap out on the amount of Bavarian cream they infuse in these specimens, as some places do. There is nearly a mouthful of luscious yellow sweetness in each chocolate-covered bite. And if you only get half a mouthful, who cares… you still are getting a generous bite of chocolate glaze and perfectly cooked donut. Not for the dieter, obviously, and not something I’d recommend eating daily, but if you crave the occasional guilty pleasure and find yourself on Jamacha(Rt 54) heading south, this place is open 24⁄7. Never had a stale donut here, the prices are incredibly CHEAP, and while the Asian female owner can be busy and brusk, it really is more of a cultural thing than a rudeness thing. I find that she returns a smile with a smile, and she is very sweet if you bother to notice the tip jar on the counter and drop in an occasional dollar or two.(Otherwise, she might have a reason to be «grumpy,» she and her husband run this place all day and night). Stop in, enjoy the treats(especially around early morning when they are the freshest) and by all means leave a tip. Their prices are SOLOW, and their donuts SOGOOD, it would be a sin not to.

Honestly delicious donuts. However, I cannot believe how mean and unprofessional the lady at the counter was. The two stars are seriously only because I enjoyed the donut so much. But I will probably never come back because of how rude this lady was.

I have come here for years and just thought to Unilocal it! They have a great deal on ‘day old’ donuts. I used to buy them for my guys at work. During one of the big fire storms I got several boxes for the firefighters. They were REAL happy… d;^)

We come here quite often and love that we get extra donuts when we buy a dozen, because we’re totally not fat enough already. We don’t care. Give us that free donut! In general all their donuts are solid and I’m so happy they have crullers. We’ve shown up at various times of the day and they always have a good stock of fresh donuts. The only time they didn’t was on National Donut Day. I got there around 8PM and they were sold out of everything except maple bars. EVERYTHING. It was sort of hilarious. Americans, we love them donuts. Overall this is my favorite donut shop in East County for taste, quality, selection, price, and hours.

This is a great donut shop. I came by to pick up a couple of old fashion donuts with chocolate. The donut were .65 each. The donuts were fresh and very good. The outside had a nice crunchy texture and smothered with rich chocolate went perfect with my coffee. The service was a little rushed but very good. The place had a lot of donut in the display and was very clean.
