Cathy insisted on La-​Z-​Boy because we currently have a cloth sectional that has been through 4 moves, a jumping 8 year old, a cat and dog with some issues.
Still in pretty good shape. Very comfortable.
We went to every furniture store around us here in metropolitan Barnegat, (that’s humor) and weren’t thrilled with any of them, and less thrilled about driving north to Brick, because it was Sunday. The beach traffic is brutal northbound on the Garden State Parkway, so we decided to drive south to the Egg Harbor Township store.
Great store, we looked around and the furniture was definitely better quality than the competitor’s, in my humble opinion.
I don’t really know a lot about the stuff, but it felt and looked better, plus it looks like they hooked Brooke Shields into being their spokesperson, so how can we go wrong? (Well, K-​Mart has Jaclyn Smith, so.)
After about 5 minutes we were greeted by Kate, who informed us that she is NOT a commissioned salesperson, and can also offer us a home designer who will come to our house free of charge.
We found a couch, love seat and chair. Super comfy and LEATHER. Didn’t think Cathy liked leather, but this was incredibly comfortable and very nice in design.
We bought the Chase model couch love seat and chair in gray, two great end tables and a nesting travertine coffee table. Also, found 2 lamps that were $ 259 each, reduced to $ 19.99! We loved them before we knew about the price reduction!
This was also a great sale, everything was 25% off and Kate took a ton of notes and was very patient and a great advisor. I took video of our wall color to make sure we had a good fit, the leather color is a perfect fit and the tables and lamps are also a perfect fit for our design.
We got 36 month interest free financing, which we will pay off within the year probably, and it was very easy and stress-​free.
We left the store about $ 7,000 poorer, but this is the last room we need to furnish and the stuff is gorgeous, the service was dead on perfect, (not pushy, not in-​your-​face, just very advisory, and Kate knew every detail and answered all of our questions, they are a well-​trained staff.)
They get 5 stars because of their excellent and well-​trained salesperson, large and varied selection, with both price and quality, location is easy to get to, and a great surprise, the interest-​free financing, which I am sure not everyone may qualify for, but what the heck. That did it for us, we left feeling like we got a good deal, also the 5 year replacement guarantee. I know this is wordy, but I feel this is worth the trip. I don’t really Unilocal crummy places.

I had a great experience with La-​z-​boy. The product is great and the free interior design was the best!
