JC Power Washing

When we received notice 2 weeks ago that JC Power Wash would be coming during the week of May 14 – 18 to do our development, I immediately was worried about the nest of baby birds that had taken up residence in the corner under our gutter. I put up signs — brightly colored, arrows, etc. to ask them to please do not spray up there. I also wrote an email at that time, which i never received any response to. They didn’t show up last week, instead came today (the 22^nd) — luckily I still kept the signs up. I heard one worker say to the other that there was a sign up to stay away from the birds. I thought «okay good, it’s safe» — but still watched out the peephole. At first the one guy went by the location. Then he came up on the porch, I watched him read the signs… then watched him aim his high powered sprayer up and BLAST the area I had signs and arrows asking to please don’t spray. I was in shock to see him do that and flung the door open yelling «did you seriously just do that!?!» His response was «oh this corner??» — REALLY!!! I called the company, left a message, and am still in disbelief that someone would do that… it wasn’t a sign to say «hey, don’t get my grill wet» — it was a sign to please don’t kill some living things… and to intentionally spray them makes me sick to my stomach. I can’t say I recommend them to clean your siding, but if you’re looking to exterminate birds, they seem to be more than happy and competent to do that.
****Update — thanks so much for the prompt response a year and a half after this review… especially informing me of the salary of your employees… however, an «I’m sorry» would have been nicer. Especially since I had to deal with the disgusting task of cleaning out dead birds from underneath our gutter grate… courtesy of your highly paid… yet borderline serial killer and beyond incompetent employees. I’ll look forward to your response sometime in late 2016!
