Based on my bad experience at horizon eye care, they actually reached out to me about my experience and actually cared! I was surprised because most companies or places don’t do that.

First time I went to Horizon Eye Care a couple of years back, I had a great experience. Everyone was very nice. The second time I went there I had the worst experience, it seemed every possible thing went wrong. Dr. Vivadelli was the first doctor I had examine my eyes. The doctor was very pleasant, but my eyes turned really red after I received the eye drops to check for Glaucoma. I thought it was normal at first, since it was my first time being checked for that, but my eyes became worse. The next day while I was at work my eyes became so red, tears began to run from both my eyes, and I had trouble seeing. I called them and told them, I believe I’m having an allergic reaction to the drops the doc put in my eyes. I was told that I was not having an allergic reaction to the drops and that it is really rare for a person to have an allergic reaction to the drops. They told me to come in and they offered me eye drops to clear my eyes. I could not believe what the lady suggested over the phone in regards to an allergic reaction. Come on! Maybe, I’m the rare one who is allergic to the drops. Did they even consider that? My eyes were perfectly fine before I went there. I wasn’t ill, and I never wore contact lenses. That was one of the questions Dr. Perez asked me when I visited them later that day after work. «Did you wear contacts, or where you recently ill? He was very nice, he took me back to examine my eyes when I visited them after work, since my eyes were really bad(watery, red, and hard to keep open). He wrote me a prescription for a steroid(prednisolone acetate) to clear up my eyes. But, the funny thing is that I later received a bill in the mail for that office visit. It doesn’t seem fair to bill a client for a problem they created. It would of been courteous if they would have waved that charge. As if that weren’t bad enough, I ran into another bad experience with Horizon. My husband picked up my glasses. The glasses looked great but I didn’t receive the designer case that came with the glasses and I was the only one in my family who didn’t receive the cleaner for the glasses. My husband was mostly upset about the case, so he called them and questioned them about it. They told him they have one and to pick it up. So, he told me to pick it up after work because he didn’t want to go there because the lady had an attitude over the phone. When I picked them up, she went out of her way to tell me that when the insurance company pays out money for the glasses, the customer doesn’t keep the case, before offering the case to me. My thinking about this is that I pay for supplemental insurance through my job to get this type of care, and I paid for the difference in price that the insurance wouldn’t cover. What loss is it to Horizon, they are receiving the total amount of money that they are asking for the glasses and case. I wonder, do they get anything out of keeping the cases? And, I never received the spray because they were out. So, I was in the shopping center today where Horizon Eye Care is located at the English Creek Shopping Center, and decided to call for the spray for my glasses. The lady who answered the phone was pleasant and told me to stop in and pick it up. When I went in, I got the blonde lady that gave my husband and I a bit of attitude previously. I asked her for the spray, and she decided to go out of her way to tell me that my husband already picked it up, which he didn’t because I wouldn’t go out of my way to sucker them out of a cheap bottle of spray that I wouldn’t mind putting out a couple of dollars for, if it was needed. It really makes me think twice about using their service in the future. I’m really not happy!

I wanted convenience along with referrals so I chose horizon big mistake I was very disappointed at the time with this company ashame because I was a new customer and first impression was a awful one I go to the front desk to pay my copay($ 10) with cash at the same time I get called back(so mind you don’t have my receipt) after I was done with my exam I make my follow up for a visual field leave the office(dr was awesome loved the dr he was very thorough dr Perez) not to long after I get a statement showing my copay wasn’t paid so at this point I call the office and I’m concerned I paid my copay with cash was never issued a receipt for my visit on 3÷31÷2015(because I was called back) the older lady brown short hair with glasses wrote in a receipt book mind u if I didn’t get my top receipt should still be there inside the cash receipt book I don’t know what happened behind a few days later when I go back in to inquire it just so happens that my receipt or my name wasn’t in the book ?? how is it a customer pays cash if they forget there receipt should be kept aside or in a envelope(could have even been mailed to my home) accidents happen I get it on my part or business part but how come my name was nowhere in that book when I know I paid? where did my cash go thinking that it went towards my copay and it didn’t somewhere someone made a mistake take both sizes of the story not make the customer feel like it’s my fault I didn’t get the receipt(things like this happen I was never issued my receipt and they have no record in the receipt book with my name(so i have nothing to back me up when I know I paid my $ 10 copay with cash to make a long story short I felt horrible at this point because no one wanted to go above and beyond to rectify the issue I was just basically told that it’s my responsibility to get my receipt well the receptionist forgot to give me one how can I have a receipt if I was never given one and I’m assuming someone just threw my receipt away that’s why my name was nowhere to be found I’m upset for the fact that the receptionist didn’t do anything to ease the fact I was upset because I was told I didn’t pay when I did all this over $ 10(and now they lost a customer over it)(maybe to them it may not matter) but to me being refered to a business as a first time customer makes a difference and my difference at this point is not good

I was looking at eye glass frames while waiting for my eye exam. One of the opticians offered to clean my regular and my sun glasses. She broke the frame of my eyeglasses and then blamed me for having damaged glasses in the first place. They offered to put my lens in another pair of frames but must charge me half of the price of the frame. When I expressed my shock of their lack of professionalism — they said it was my fault for allowing her to take them from me. I will never go back there again and I felt their business practices were extremely poor. In addition, I had to wait over 30 minutes to see the optometrist.

Poor customer service. ½ hour delay in start of appointment. Doctor Vivadelli then stood in hall talking to contact lens sales rep. while I waited in room for 15 minutes listening to their conversation. I stepped into the hall to ask a nurse when the doctor will see me. The doctor turned and told me that she would see me in a minute. She turned and continued her conversation for another 5 minutes. When the Dr. Vivadelli finally came into see me, no apologies were given. The exam was performed and she directed pay on my way out. I was planning on buying two pairs of glasses that day. I picked up my prescription and left. I am never going back there.
