Five years ago, I thought this store was doomed by the nearby and newly opened Home Depot and Lowes. But I’ve been proven wrong, and have to give Sears credit for spiffing up the place and expanding its offerings. I stopped in today to swap out a 25-​year-​old broken socket for a new one. I did it with no hassle and no paperwork. You’ve gotta love the lifetime warranty on Craftsman tools.
