LRE is a very reasonable and fair automotive shop. They have gone above and beyond several times for myself and my family. Once I took my vehicle to be repaired because the «Check Engine Light» was on and I couldn’t pass the emissions test until this was fixed. Not only did they fix it quickly and as inexpensively as possible, but they actually drove it to the emissions testing center for me for no charge. They will always try to give a quick estimate and their work often comes in at far less than they have quoted. Their work is done very quickly as well.
All of the staff are super-​friendly and like I said, they try to be as budget-​friendly as possible. I am a broke secretary/​grad student, so I appreciate this so much. If you like to support family-​owned local small businesses, be sure and try them.

LRE automotive is a good place in Edwardsville to get major repair work done to your vehicle. They are very good at telling you everything that is wrong with your vehicle and working with you to find a solution that is within your budget. They understand that not everyone can afford to perform all of the «necessary» repairs to their vehicle all at one time. Their rates are reasonable, but they do have a down side.
They’re so busy that they often lack good communication with their customers. The last time I took my car to LRE, I told them to call me with an estimate before starting any repairs. I dropped my vehicle off the night before. It turns out that I had to call them later the following day to discuss what they were doing with my vehicle, and they had already started the work. LRE, if you are reading this, please make sure that you call your customers before starting repairs.
